Roman Reigns vs Edge vs Daniel Bryan gotta be the best match for me. Just excellent. Hard-hitting, dynamic, exciting, genuinely unpredictable finish between Edge and Roman.
One thing about this era that stuck with me was the effect of having no crowds when promos and segments were made...it actually felt more like a drama series..you can sense whatever raw sourced emotion that was conveyed by the wrestlers...like the segments of Drew with Heath Slater which is a clear example of that.
It definitely changed the whole vibe and game of wrestling when they no longer had a crowd that would erupt into whatever emotion they wanted to. It gave flexibility to the performers who didn't need worry about cheers, boos, chants of phrases etc. While having crowds is always better for a sport like wrestling. I can't deny that the pandemic allowed for this new breath of fresh air.
WWE became open minded in the creative aspect. The cinematic matches was one the highlight during the The Pandemic Era. If I had to choose a favorite idea, it’d be the MITB location at Titan Towers (WWE’s office building). It was very entertaining and you could tell they worked hard on every bit that went on that night.
That was something I liked. Instead of making a play in front of an actual crowd, they had to get creative with all this cinematic movie like approach and sell it to only the TV and Streaming audiences.
We gotta give it up for WWE. They put their health at risk for our entertainment. Whether the product was good or bad, they deserve nothing but respect 💯
Raw was the bad part for the most part, but the golden role models were good, when Roman Reigns returned he turned smackdown around and it was good on a weekly basis, PPVs for the most part were good, some very good matches, good moments like Edge winning the rumble, Hurt Business formed, Randy had a good 2020, cinematic matches were cool. No one will forget this time in wrestling
The era was good. Drew carried WWE in the whole of 2020, plus to Randy Orton, The Fiend, Roman Reigns and so on. This era will be respected. Thank you WWE for giving us entertainment in this era.
The thunderdome/PC era was kind of a free practice for the whole roster. Everybody got a character and had the chance to just try and fail at stuff before going in front of live crowds. Now we know who is really good and who is not.
I think your voice is a little low my dude, (currently still watching) but absolute banger video so far. The pandemic era is gonna become nostalgic in a few years
Pandemic was the hardest part of our life, but WWE gave us pure entertainment. The best part was Roman becoming the Tribal Chief. How long have we waited for him to change his character but all we got was his true self. He even carried SD every week all through the thunderdome era and even now. So acknowledge the Tribal chief.
SmackDown finally became good again, and AJ Styles carried RAW as much as he could. People are sleeping on AJ Styles. They focus on Roman, Seth, and Drew, but never give AJ Styles the respect he deserves. Still great on the mic, and still a great performer. Pandemic Era SmackDown reminded me of 2016-2018 SmackDown Live.
The Pandemic Era definitely had its ups and downs but we can't ignore the ups…Roman Reigns' best run since his days in The Shield, Edge/Roman/Daniel & Bianca/Sasha at WM 37, the cinematic matches from WM 36 (Undertaker/AJ & John/The Fiend) and so much more. We all should appreciate WWE for still doing their best to entertain us during a time of uncertainty.
Roman and Sasha are the Best in this era! They make a great Match. Reigns vs McIntyre(Survivor Series) Reigns vs Jey Uso(Best Storyline) Reigns vs Bryan vs Edge(Great storytelling) Banks vs Asuka Banks vs Baley Banks Belair promos Drew McIntire? Not at all after losing a WWE Title.
Drew vs Seth Drew vs lashley Drew vs ziggler Drew vs Randy *3 Drew vs Roman Drew vs styles Drew vs Lee Drew vs Goldberg Elimination chamber WrestleMania mach vs lashley Drew vs lashley vs strowman Drew vs lashley hell in a cell All of them can get at least 4/5 On an average Drew is better than you think
I cant disrespect this Era. Good or bad, they did their best to entertain man, eish. I respect them deeply because it was not their fault. The pandemic sucked. But Drew, Randy, Roman, Kevin Owens, Bianca, Bayley, Sasha, The Usos and Edge were the highlights for me. They ruled this era. They nailed it. So to WWE, thank you for entertaining us through a hard period of our lives.
I’ll remember this era for all the different character changes for people such as Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, Bayley, Sasha Banks, Bobby Lashley and especially ROMAN REIGNS! This shows that WWE can still create interesting characters.
Taker vs Aj Styles and Cena vs Wyatt were matches that truly benefited from the pandemic era. Everything else was either eerie or gives a ton of people bad ptsd from march-August 2020
Smackdown was definitely the show. The first show Of smackdown when the pandemic hit was perfect. (For some reason I liked Michael cole and hhh as a commentary team) And let’s not forget that Roman reigns is carrying smackdown on his back. Yeah Raw had some good shows but smackdown had better.
Smackdown easily overshadowed Raw. To be honest, Raw’s creative team put their talents in a predicament when they never took any chances to improve the quality of the product.
@@fro-zone2k plus Paul Heyman was booking the show and you had wrestlers like Andrade, Apollo, the hurt business and Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy used properly on Raw however once Summerslam came SD became the A show
70% Good, 30% Garbage Props to WWE they still pulled out some great shit during this time even without live crowd, bad things were expected without audience let's be honest, but I witnessed the goods mostly, the goods overshadowed the bad
I think WWE was great during the pandemic. They had to heavily rely on promos during that time and we got some bangers out of it. The first one that comes to mind was Seth Rollins “Monday Night Messiah” promo with Kevn Owens before Wrestlemania. His story of how he built the foundation for the future of WWE/ NXT and that at Wrestlemania he becomes a god. That promo is so amazing imo I rewatch it from time to time
Your takes were so spot on! Never agreed with a WWE review video as much. The points of characters changing during the pandemic (good) and the same storylines being repeated (bad)(showing Shane) was so accurate.
I disagree Drew McIntyre was the top guy during the PC era he carried that era, While Roman Reigns returned during the thunderdome so it was more easy for him, While Drew has great matches and feuds during the pc era he did very good, like Imagine Roman debuting his new entrance in an empty arena with out the fake fans saying Roman Sucks
I think we should give a lot of credit to Miz and Morrison. They were really entertaining and fun to watch. I especially loved the Miz winning the WWE title at elimination chamber. He really deserved it.

Only a few more days until July 16th. I can’t wait. A new era begins this Friday.
Love it or Hate it can we just appreciate all those men and women who risked their lives for the entertainment of us ungrateful fans despite the fact that they had families and loved ones
The actual wrestling was amazing, so many great matches happened during this era. But the way a lot of the story’s were written, and raw becoming unwatchable, and the annoying banging on the glass and many other reasons is why I’ll never miss it lol. This past smackdown was far and away the best show in a long time thanks to having a real crowd
I’ve been sitting here, watching the feud between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair, and I still can’t figure how who the hell the baby face is supposed to be.
My only positive for the pandemic era was the cinematic matches especially the boneyard and firefly funhouse match. Really hope wwe continues to have the cinematic matches after they can get the fans back in.
If you truly believe this is the first time Sami Zayn’s ever had a character in his whole career, then that’s on you for never bothering to check out ROH and PWG when El Generico was the best wrestler in the world telling some of the greatest babyface stories ever. Even if we're just limiting it to WWE that's a pretty egregious statement given the entirety of his NXT run and some good feuds with Strowman, Styles, and the continuation of the whole Steenerico feud.
Aew was great during the pandemic era. They had little fans but man i loved jon moxleys world title run. Dude was a fighting champion. Felt like he was defending the chamionship every week
Street profits were great in 2020 in 2021 they weren’t booked properly but overall they were entertaining I think they are very close to Sheamus in being underrated during this era however Sheamus was relevant from start to finish
I thought smackdown throughout this Era was amazing. They made the Intercontinental Title prestigious again. Roman was killing it. The smackdown tag Title division was going off.
Considering how god awful 2019 was for wwe, I thought it was actually pretty good, especially when Roman returned and started his new character. Roman and Drew as champions for the pandemic were perfect, Bayley vs Sasha was a good feud. There was some good stuff.
My thoughts... I honestly think despite it's huge faults such as not having a live crowd, I think it's actually pretty great for the most part as of recently. Sure, RAW may have started sucking in 2021 but SmackDown was GOATED. Drew McIntyre, Bianca Belair, Bobby Lashley, Jey Uso, Matt Riddle, Big E and even Apollo Crews have all been made into Stars. Sheamus is on the run of his Career and Roman Reigns has become one of the Greatest Characters in Wrestling History. As sad as it was having no live fans around, a lot of this stuff may not have happened if it wasn't for the Pandemic, and for that I will appreciate the good things that this Era has brought us.
Let's be honest, Only Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks are the one who carry this era. Roman and Sasha really shines every week. They make Smackdown the Best Wrestling show today.

I appreciate the Pandemic Era.
The Pandemic Era is something I will never forget.
WWE on July 16th will have a new era with Live Crowds returning full time and WWE will be great. Only a few more days until July 16th. I can’t wait.
A new era begins this Friday.
I was never a Roman Reigns hater from his debut all the way to the tribal chief he is my favourite wrestler
Love it or Hate it can we just appreciate all those men and women who risked their lives for the entertainment of us ungrateful fans despite the fact that they had families and loved ones
The hurt business was freakin awesome
In my opinion, the best match during the pandemic era was Daniel Bryan vs. Edge vs. Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37.
Based MVP pulling a T bomb on live television is unrivaled.
Very impressive video i must say
thanks! glad you liked it
I was a freshman in high school when the pandemic started
what is a freshman
i was in year 11 when the pandemic started.

Aew was great during the pandemic era. They had little fans but man i loved jon moxleys world title run. Dude was a fighting champion. Felt like he was defending the chamionship every week
Best line said was
AJ Styles: you made me break my finger.
Walter Vs Ilja Dragunov is a classic
Randy the GOAT of that era.
i personally think the best match during the pandemic era was the wrestlemania 37 match roman vs daniel vs edge.
Honestly 2020 was one of the better years, better than 2019, 2018, and 2017
They had their great moments but better than 2019, 2018, or 2017? Yeah I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one by a long shot
Thank you drew for carrying wwe in this era
15:15 Seth Rollins laugh impressions got it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
For me Drew and Asuka were the MVP's of the ThunderDome era.
In ring Wrestling was brilliant in WWE during this time
Considering how god awful 2019 was for wwe, I thought it was actually pretty good, especially when Roman returned and started his new character. Roman and Drew as champions for the pandemic were perfect, Bayley vs Sasha was a good feud. There was some good stuff.
2019 wasn't bad
The HIAC match vs uso was storytelling 101
It was horrendous they should have just stopped while the pandemic was on
People don't realize they did the best they could in that situation and we're lucky we got it
Man smack down was at its peak
In my opinion
No one is gonna talk about raw
Not peak but great compare to raw
@@scodoo4719
It was as good as smackdown 2016 tbh
@@WhiteVortex-i9x noo only good thing was roman.2016 had so many new stars and interesting stuff compare to 2020
@@scodoo4719
Ohh my guy
Forgot Sasha Banks, jey uso, edge, Kevin Owens, sami zayn, apollo crew, big e
You forgot these mates
@@WhiteVortex-i9x But let's be honest before the draft, Smackdown! was pretty bad in 2020.
The coronavirus is biggest heel of 2020-2021
it was dreadful the effects are still felt today.
Would love to see a video about the aew pandemic era
Let's be honest, Only Roman Reigns and Sasha Banks are the one who carry this era.
Roman and Sasha really shines every week. They make Smackdown the Best Wrestling show today.
