A much more mellow sound than I was expecting. Very little attack, but tons of body and warmth.
Great video! I would love to see more of the inside of the shell and bearing edge. You guys are the best!

Wow thats something i just noticed, they changed the spurs! They've used the same spurs since at least the 80s!
I think the R2 mounts sound much better than the omnimounts. Much better tone, attack and presence.

The heads don’t showcase how much attack and low end you can get from the MMX shell type
Pearl make beautiful drums and I'm not a lover of die cast hoops, sorry I prefer my old 70's 3ply Ludwig and my early 70's 402 !!
Have always preferred maple drums. They ring with pleasant ,balanced, overtones. Birch and beech don,t sound as good.
