I really like the sound of these drums, bright, clear and lively, they seem great for little jazz gigs
I own one of the first series models. These are great little kits.
Surprised how good these sound 🤘
Thank you 😁👍
I have one and it does the job for pub gigs.
My go to Gigging Kit . I take this thing everywhere
7:28 Yes, IMO the rims (and heads) are where so many of these kits come up short. I replaced the rims on my Sonor Bop and it made all the difference in the world.
To what rims/hoops do you switch?
@@WxkR I think I got heavier rims from Gibralter.
@@ThruAWiderLens I also got some from them. I changed from 1.6 mm (the ones packed by Sonor) to 2.3 mm (supposedly the “professional” thickness) but did not notice a major change in my drums (AQ2 bop, which sounds great anyways. I just changed them out of curiosity). I was thinking about trying 3 mm hoops or die cast but the investment might not pay off (they are way more expensive). Do you remember what thickness you got?
@@WxkR I got the 3mm power hoops from Gibraltar which I like very much. I thought the die cast hoops--aside from being expensive--would be too heavy.
👏👏👏👏
Perfect for grindcore in my house. Perhaps I'll buy one for myself!
Thanks fella, need one for smaller venues/pubs & much prefer acoustic kit to electric kit so this seems the right choice... yes, the h'ware is a value addition. Can i just say, your jazz playing you demoed, is just exquisite 👌.
Mine doesnt have the cymbal mount on the bass drum ☹ Must have upgraded it in last 2 years.
Is that ride arm adjustable if I wanted it lower or closer to the floor tom?
What did you put in the kick?
Does the floor tom have 6 or 8 lugs
Looks like 6
Pretty nice, the snare ain't that great though, but would do the job.
Dude, that thing sounds insanely fat!
