The maasais' r one of a kind,,they'll ride a bike in the park&the animals don't attack them😂😂,i personally wouldn't dare but one of them told us that the secret is keeping us gaze ahead&avoiding eye contact with the animals,,quite a hard stunt to pull
@Jacob and Jenny - travel, you have not seen magical Kenya until you visit Diani, Watamu and Lamu. It’s heaven on earth and l am not just saying that because l am Kenyan.
The weather in Kenya is generally moderate and pleasant all year round because of high altitude above sea level. The same applies to other east and southern African countries whereas countries is west and north Africa have very hostile hot and humid weather.
Nairobi Kenya doesn't have a malaria problem. The only place in Kenya with a malaria issue is in the western Kenya region around lake Victoria and along the border with Uganda.
Hey just a note like all other continents African countries have a gazillion climatic regions in each country varying from desert climates to rainforests especially in sub-Saharan Africa. The stereotypes of all Africa being a desert are a bummer especially since I liked you lot. Anyway glad you enjoyed yourselves in my country
We do have some muggers.be careful especially in the City center. They can snatch your phone and run away.avoid placing your hand while holding your phone near open car window.but more than 90% of Kenyans are good.your.
There are malaria endemic zones in Kenya, and Nairobi is not one of them, probably why you didn't see many mosquitoes. However, if you ever decide to explore the coastal and western areas, I would not recommend ditching the antimalarials 😅 People who live in those zones have developed immunity, but even Kenyans (like me) who live in Nairobi and then travel to those areas are not safe and very often come home with the disease 😅 Another thing to note is that malaria has a pretty long incubation period, and I've seen people develop symptoms even 3+ weeks after leaving the malaria zone. So always suspect it if you develop a fever a while later. Okay my health lesson is over. Glad you enjoyed Kenya!
