And this theme was made because they didnt wanna re-license the japanese song, they just fr straight up told the studio: "This is Shinada's big moment, go fucking ham."
Yeah, I did all shinada chapters without weapons and this was probably the most fun boss. No bullshit like the one chef dude, it's not wait, then bait for a punish like shinadas final boss which I won't name etc
I completed this game a months ago man, was one hell of an experience. Ngl I enjoyed his fighting style like a lot. And he has the same stance as Lee chao lan guy from tekken.
This is 100% a serious remix of What a FUNKTASTIC hit (Shinada's street battle theme). The part starting at 1:09 is nearly identical to the part starting at 1:12 in What a FUNKTASTIC hit.
I like both because they fit different moods. The japanese one works kinda like an amv for Shinada while this one works because this is a big moment for Shinada.
I believe it means that it wasn't included in the actual ost that rgg puts out themselves on streaming services and stuff. The main other one I can think of that's like this is Akutsu's theme "K.O.G" from lost judgement which is technically unreleased because of the same reason.
So in japan, a different track plays there. A licensed track called Wild Romance, a 2004 song that fits Shinada's story pretty well. However, due to licensing concerns for an overseas market I believe, they made a new track for the western version. I'd give Wild Romance a listen, it's pretty good, but this song as a boss track imo is way better.
just imagine playing yakuza 5 and then hearing this damn banger dropping out of nowhere bro
A theme of fighting for your dream hit me harder than a Tiger Drop.

@@nobu6833 what is the difference except for the weird electro buzzing that Japanese version lacks????
@@БруноБуччелати-н6б well for one the main difference is that its an entirely different song
@@davebob4973 yeah. I think first I found some replica of this one. I managed to find the actual jspsnese one too. I am sorry.
Syncing the guitar solo with the parasol heat action was blissful
That was a good fight, especially without weapons.

@@premonition5508 Yeah, I know what you mean. Also, Yakuza 5 made me realise that the final bosses have some NASTY combos and counters.

I don't know what you were on when you commented this, but they sound nothing alike.

they're nothing alike
this might actually be the best boss theme in the entire series and one of the best bosses overall
This is shinada when he gets serious
A violin cover of this would be sick, if that's even possible, especially from 1:07
this song is so... majestic
This song needs a proper name. Any ideas? I like “Bases Loaded”.
"What a FUNKTASTIC Showdown"
i got you his fight song against kiryu in yakuza 2 is called rebellious phase

I know nothing of guitar playing. What's the technique being used called at 1:08? One of my favorite noises a guitar can make for sure!
sounds like an arpeggio. could be wrong tho i've only been playing for 5 years
