Just a reminder that Shinada was far from winning, the fight ended with shinada slightly " winning " but lets be honest that only was the case because hes the protag
to be fair to Daigo Shinada, although he is not the best fighter, he is a man with a spectacular physique, he is very physically strong and has incredible reflexes, he is very capable of seeing blows from afar thanks to his past, therefore he compensates for his lacking in technique with incredible natural talent, so even though he is not one of the strongest characters in the saga, he is not a rival that can be easily beaten and also I have the theory that Daigo was holding back in the fight because we know thanks to Yakuza 4 that Daigo is strong enough to last a while fighting against kiryu and even damage him a bit so surely Daigo has held back a lot
Actually looking back I think Daigo played a similar role to that of Majima, the gatekeeper testing the challenger to see if they’ve got what it takes or not.
SEGA : Aight we can't use this licensed song for western release, just make a placeholder track for this fight RGG Composers : *casually makes a masterpiece*
In the Yakuza world, your tattoo is a part of you, it represents who you are, what do you stand for, your ideals, your destiny, it's the very escense of what you are, you could say your tattoo represents your soul. Kiryu's Dragon who represents wisdom, Majima's hannya who punishes traitors, Saejima's majestic tiger, etc. That's why the act of taking off your shirt is so important, you're showing your rival and the entire world who you truly are in the inside, there's no secrets left, you're giving your 110% in this fight and you're not stopping until you win or your rival proves his will is stronger than yours, that's also why you can't just do it on every fight, it's not something everybody should see, only a rival who truly deserves your all deserves to see who you truly are. And then we have Shinada, a guy who has nothing to do with the Yakuza, like Akiyama, he has no tattoo, yet he understands what it means to take of your shirt, he has no tattoo to show, but he has his muscles, the proof of how hard he has worked for the little hope he had to get his dream back, Shinada's muscles are his tattoo, in a way. Daigo sees this, and realizes Shinada is not fucking around anymore, he IS fighting to take his life back, so he takes off his shirt and shows his Acala, he respects Shinada's endeavors and not giving your all would be worst than spitting on his face. Besides, the last thing that Daigo wants is to let another friend of his to die for him like Mine did, he's not letting that happen again. Yeah, at the end of the fight we can see that Daigo was barely tired, compared to Shinada, but to me that doesn't mean he wasn't giving his all, it's more like he stopped the fight because he didn't want Shinada to lose after everything he said and had to endure. At the end, this is a fight of wills, of souls, of destinies, a man who will do anything for his dream, and a man who won't let a friend die a meaningless death again. This is who this men truly are, Daigo Dojima, the 6th Chairman of the Dojima Clan and Tatsuo Shinada, the man who fights for his dream
Y’know… in a cast already full of very ripped men, Shinada has REALLY well defined muscles. Like, holy crap he may not be as good of a fighter but he’s got the physical frame to match to likes of Kiryu and Saejima
Makes sense, from what we know he’s the only character who actually has a workout routine. All of our other guys got their bodies from the yakuza life.
Yeah I keep saying that I refuse to allow Shinada slander. Shinada is the weakest fighter in the game, but that's because he's being compared to legends. Shinada could absolutely kill a regular man with a single straight haymaker IRL.
To me, that makes him even better Dude wasn't born for the yakuza life, he doesn't even know how to fight, he just swings his weapons and does whatever he thinks will hurt his opponent, yet, he can pull his own weight in jobs that need the help of the goddam Dragon of Dojima, Saejima and even Akiyama. If you can work with some of the strongest fighters in the Yakuza, and not be dead weight, you sure are a badass
@@Meeryx4 Not to mention the other protagonists have way more fighting experience and all kinds of mentors through the series. Shinada learning under Komaki would be OP. Imagine getting tiger dropped with a bat 😂
@@24hourPrince most ost vids i see on this vide have it as that name or just call it unreleased track (but tbh this my story still sounds better than unreleased track)
I like how the title card says Daigo Dojima but not “Sixth Chairman of the Tojo Clan” but still shows the crest of the Tojo Clan, because that’s how Shinada sees him. Kinda how in (SPOILERS) Yakuza 6, Kiryu sees Iwami as “CEO of Iwami Shipbuilding” instead of “Chairman of the Yomei Alliance” which is how Iwami wanted to be viewed.

People call this Daigo's theme.
But this is actually Shinada's.
The moment where Shinada finally took control of his story
why else would it be called "This is My Story"
@@Celticjamz I actually didn't know that at the time I posted the comment

just a reminder the actual 6th Chairman to the Tojo Clan the most feared yakuza branch was beaten up by some ex baseball player who’s behind on rent

It's funny to think about, but not exactly true. Daigo was ready to keep fighting, while Shinada literally collapsed at the end there.

By far Daigo’s best boss theme.
I mean his only other unique one was y4 and that was just another for faith remix.
