Tbh even though it's one of the best themes in the game, this entire song just has a feel of familiarity. That you're doing something you do everyday, and something that you've perfected. For akiyama it's fighting like a fucking goddess.

I loved drawing the fights out till the 1:13 mark before doing a bunch of cool cinematic heat actions to end the fight, the move of akiyama facing 3 guys worked so perfectly in unison to this song

Akiyama (and his battle theme) fits very well with Haruka's arc in this game. The beginning was very "charming" and innocent with no thugs to assault you every time. The songs were cute too. When Akiyama was introduced after this "kawai" arc, we all knew something real was happening. The street fights returned, his battle theme too. The vision of Sotenbori changed as well for us, players. This dual arc embodies different sides of the same coin. (A charming but dangerous world)

I think the themes are just incredibly different in what they're trying to do. Speed Star to me definitely is more groovy and captures that noirish feel of Y4 wonderfully
@@futabamajima Honestly I prefer Speed Star way over this actually, as Speed Star already demonstrated Akiyama's stylish flourishing flair flaring up in the beginning and it continues to keep a constant vibe like that throughout the OST; meanwhile with this they were really trying to seperate the buildup from the climax, which kinda felt a bit disconnected for me in some parts.
