Puzzles me how all these houses have nicely scraped driveways and cars. I can only assume they were snowed in a few days and therefore had a lot of spare time to do all the shoveling while they should have been at work ...
That was alot of snow. I live in Ohio an we just celebrated the blizzard of 1978. An yes I do remember it. They called out the national guard to remove all the snow. Had to jump off the roof to remove the snow off the porch to get the door open. ✌ OUT
Just think all the bushes small trees and phone and cable boxes stone walls fences. This plow guy took out on peoples lawns pushing the snow to the front door I’m telling ya
Better than 3 feet of snow but whipped by 100 mph and up winds , this place is not bad but in the older parts of the city there’s absolutely no place to put snow.
They only have enough snow blowers and graders for normal situations. When there's exceptional snowfall, they contract construction companies to use whatever heavy machinery that's available. They also put out a call to neighbouring towns for assistance but in this snowfall, they all would've been hit hard.
OFFROAD DAN I plowed for 49 years, last year was my last, I never really got sick of it, but now I can stay home and feed the woodstove. A Friend of mine worked Buffalo New York back in 78 ?, they had over 100 inches, they rode snowmobiles into the lobby of the hotels
@@OFFROADDAN What did they do with the 6 dump trucks? Did a different front end loader or snow blower come after with the trucks and clean driveways or what?
This must be awesome, but a snow blower would better fit this job :P Now that i think of it they might of wanted to see the street a little before the went in with a blower..
Really... damn ..that's crazy. I'm in Montreal Canada and as expected snow everywhere- I am jealous of our southern friends !! Enjoy the warmer days for us... 😂
I’m over here in Alberta; visiting Newfoundland a couple years ago; I noticed there are a lot of trees and rocky ground. Do houses have basements over there? I’d think you’d need dynamite over there to dig a proper basement!
Randolph Chappel it’s not all rock. Lol. We really don’t have a problem with flooding unless we have a lot of rain and a quick melt, which happens quite often, for instance we are have ing rain and warmer temperatures on Monday, and very few catch basins are uncovered so we will have some flooding.
@@OFFROADDAN Cheers Mate, a little crazy with the weather and fires... But we're use to it, just feel sorry for the billion or so animals that perished.. Thanks for asking
The complaints about where he's pushing the snow is ridiculously stupid. Were should he push the 6ft plus of snow? The driveway, roof, backyard, laneway? Has to go somewhere. Do you think when the snow is pushed, it just disappears because its a plow? 🤣. It can't be loaded and taken away cause there needs to be a street to drive on first lol. That clean up will come, but as soon as the north pole worth of snow that dumped on them is moved first.
@@OFFROADDAN Hopefully they'll move it away at some point instead of hoping (beyond hope) that for some incredible reason spring and summer will not happen again this year and all that water will magically stay in neat little piles.
you clear the street and let me worry about getting out of the driveway if you complain about not being able to get out then move to another state at least they know how to because they have too every year it aint their first rodeo lol
Why would they want to move to another state? In fact why would they leave the country? Canada don't have states, its provinces. And there is only on province where you may not get large amounts of snow. And that Victoria island BC. They still get it just not as bad unless your in the rockies
this plow guy isnt doing it very well. when i snow plow with my truck or tractor when it is super deep snow i do what i call relief plows. where you drop the bucket or blade half the height down and plow that gets rid of half the snow. then re plow it with the blade all the way down
I like how he pushed the excess snow in people's yards but not the driveways. Yeah there is a wall but he wasn't being a jerk.
Exactly. He's gotta put it somewhere. Front lawn is perfect.

Its dry fluffy snow with hardly any water content

Aaaand a little extra snow for your yard. And a little extra snow for your yard too. Hell, why not give everyone some extra snow while we're at it!

Supervise your kids though. The snow piles are large enough that if the tunnels and caves they dig collapses, they could suffocate in them.
Completely agree!

Thank you!
That’s quite the machine. Glad my truck and plow will do the job! Thanks for sharing!

I wonder how many fire hydrants snow plow drivers took out throughout the city during plowing. There's no way you could see them with all that snow!
They went around marked the snow with spray paint before they started!
Ben Browning Most of the places I have been up north have tall poles attached to each hydrant
