DOOM was the first game I ever played and Ive listened to every cover and your take on this song is literally the greatest 'Let me take a whatever song and transform it into god-tier' Ive ever seen in my video game music. The filthy bass to guitar transition is legit one of my favorite music moments ever. I'm glad they picked you for the DOOM eternal DLC and I"m even glader you blew our expectations out
This song just shows how important role the bass guitar fills in nearly every rock/metal song, despite being a background, rythm instrument. It just gives the songs so much extra power! It can be the simplest, most basic lines to play, but they carry so much weight. They simply set the entire foundation and carry the entire song.
It's worth noting that even after the screen effect wears off from the Berserk pack, the ability to gib imps with your punch lasts for the rest of the level.
anybody notice that the bassline and drum beat kind of sound like a chainsaw idling? it sounds like it's coming from far off, like we're in the shoes of the demons and DoomGuy is coming to cut us into sadistic meat chunks.
Oh my god, dude, ALL your Doom song remakes are freaking awesome, if you do plan on remaking every Doom 1 and 2 song and finish all of them, all your remakes should be used for whatever version of Brutal Doom is out by then. Your remakes by far are the best I've heard.
While I think Mick Gordon will do a great job composing the DOOM reboot, I think it would be awesome if you had the chance to do it. You do an awesome job capturing the intense and over-the-top action of classic DOOM. Keep up the awesome work.
CaptainGrunt95 although I like this guys work and find it very good, I don’t think this music would fit very well in new game titles. Especially since the newer games are a lot more fast paced and has a very metal yet fleshy feel to everything. But that is just my opinion
Oh wow, that's great, you really captured the feel of this track very well - which is quite an achievement, because most artists really struggle trying to make something out of this one :D .
Dude you are my fucking favorite artist. I drive to work every day listening to a playlist of you, Mick Gordon, Celldweller & Atlas Plug, Damjan Mravunac, Sonic Mayhem, Sonic Clang, and so much more. Love the Dusk soundtrack, can't get enough of that game. So blown away that I came across this!! Great song!!
Naaaaah, let's throw in a guitar in drop D alongside dubstep playing the same 3 power chords. According to fans, it's "beautiful". Be sure to play it while crab walking in order to clench your anus with enough force to prevent your colon from shaking out. Besides, that's what all the shitty three chord bands do anyway.
+Your Average Commie Productions "LOL ELECTRONIC MUSIC IS BAD WHO REMEMBERS LE 90S WHEN WE HAD REAL MUSIC XDDDDDD" shit bait, but im biting anyways. i assume when you say "electronic music" you're referring to dubstep, which, you would be right, dubstep is absolute fucking garbage and should be treated as such HOWEVER the rest of electronic music for the most part is fine. synthwave/new retrowave/outrun/whatever the hell else people call it is fine 99% of the time, glitch is hit or miss, house is also pretty good take this meme back to /mu/
Your Average Commie Productions I agree with both of you, I feel like Hans Zimmer is the worst thing ever to happen to game and movie soundtracks. EDIT: because he helped popularize 'electronic farts', even though he's made some stuff I like
Imagine just seeing a group of imps in leather jackets and sunglasses, walking menacingly down a hallway. Then at 1:43 they come across Doomguy. He glares at the imps for moment, and then at 1:49 he _joins in,_ and they all decide to walk right up to the Icon of Sin, and at 3:13 they just fuckin' _beat the shit out of it._ The epilogue plays out with Doomguy chilling with the only demons too cool for Hell's own fire pits.
Now I'm imagining this badass space marine slowly looking towards the screen as he's opening fire on a bunch of demons, and then proceeds to simply say "Suspense remake"
That bass guitar has some porno levels of stank to it. So dirty without being extremely overdriven. I can't get over the first three map song remakes. They sound so great!
Doom guy vs Duke. GO! Excellent work man this is incredible. You have me and my brother crankin' back the beers and head banging along to this. Great nostalgic value!
I LOVE THIS! I really like how it's kinda more ominous but more rippy and teary at the same time haha I'm 11 and I love the doom series everyone's about esports and over watch (which Is good) nowadays. Keep up the good work!
Excellent as always! If you're ever interested in doing something not video game related, but movie related instead, I suggest this theme. There really aren't that many metal covers of it. Yeah, I'm a big Return of the Living Dead fan. LOL! Return Of The Living Dead Theme(1985)
Hey, congrats on having your music make it into the official game, man! I only played to about half of Doom II with the new remixes, but I really wish I had started with them, because these are some killer tunes!

3 people didnt find the chainsaw in this level.
I could never reach it.
+ALXNDR THE GR8, there's a secret door in the dark hallways to the right of the entrance.
Jase Areaon uhhh... The dark hallways werent in that level. Do you mean the room where the lights go out when you grab the keycard?
That's what he means
Make that 4

Bassist here, thanks for stroking my ego
Say that to the guy who mixed ...and justice for all lol
Man the original sounds catchy but the remake all I could ever wanted
Bassist here. Can confirm. A song stands and falls with the bass. If it gets muted the song gets flat and powerless.

Lmao just use a 68 string guitar, after all we are in 2020

thats the guitar. the bass is carrying the melody, meanwhile the guitar is accenting/riffing in the distance.
I have a mental image of some imps jamming out in hell and this is the result.
Doomguy at Dance Dance Revolution machine
@@platinumchromee3191 now i can't get this out of my mind thanks bro
