I came into a 12 step recovery group in the 80's. I've been on a spiritual quest since then.
This came up while I was scrolling. I said to myself "I know that name". I googled her name saw her picture and I knew that face! When I began listening to this it was like I had heard her message before, but I had never read any of her books. She talks about every, single thing that was familiar to me in my recovery! I'm bringing Louise back into my spiritual quest. I love her! ❤
God led me to Louis Hay and completed my healing ❤️

My healing isn’t physical, it’s emotional healing… I need to hear this. I’m so so tired of feeling pain.
Hi Helene, I'm 63 yrs old and I know that once pain of any kind registers in our brains, the memory of it is there forever. In other words, it's permanent. It then becomes our job to take control and outsmart the brain, so that it's not constantly bothering us with painful thoughts that we don't want to think about. Since the human mind can only think one ☝ thought at a time, I keep my mind busy with thoughts that make me happy. When a painful thought from the past creeps in, I immediately take charge and replace it with another happier thought, like with something I'm looking forward to doing later. It's called thought replacement. At the end of the day, there really is no such thing as emotional or thought "healing." I wish I started practicing thought replacement in my 20s! I would have been alot happier over the years. It takes constant effort but please try it and I hope it works for you like it works for me ❤
@@Sparkle835 thank you… I did practice that in my 20-30s because I was so busy. Now, my kids are grown and gone and not as much keeps me busy. But, yes, you are right. Thoughts are just clouds that dissipate. It’s the betrayal that hurts my soul.
@@Blonde111 But "betrayal" is on the betrayer, not on the betrayed. In other words, it's their sin to carry, not yours. I know it hurts. I have a sister who called me "untrustworthy" (ouch!) because I broke a promise to her. Yes, I broke a promise I never should have made, in the best interest of myself and others. It doesn't involve repayment of money. I simply changed my mind about something, which I felt was my right to do. Consequently, she cast me aside like a bag of garbage and I haven't heard from her since. Do I feel bad? A little. But does life go on? Yes! And I'm not going to miss it because I'm brooding about our weak-as-water relationship. Life's too short. Grab up all the enjoyment you can. You won't be sorry.

@@Sparkle835 sounds like your relative was looking for a reason to behave in that way, and create drama. Perhaps underlying jealousy or resentment, that she would choose to exploit something like that, versus understand it. Doesn't matter what you would have done, she would have found something somewhere

I was having a severe depression and I listened to Louise videos many times and applied a lot of her advice, together with exercises, meditation and my Buddhist practice I just overcame the illness, we have the power to heal ourselves❤

I have been listening for a few days straight now. I find it amazing how each time I listen I pick up something new. Even though I listen on the now it's still like the first time I heard it. As I head into my hip replacement I know I will be able to assist in my healing. 🙏❤🌎

Oh, Louise, thank you for your brilliance. I find this video perhaps the most important. It rang true all the way through. Last night I saw it through twice on 'loop', and I slowed it down to '75%'. Going slower gives your mind time to consume the information more thoroughly.

One or two subtle word changes I recommend, instead of want, use allow and turn any negative to its polar opposite.
