    Thanks for this video! I was unsure how many of these I wanted, but watching your video, I want to buy one per room to control all the outlets too! Just a little note - like yours, one of my wall plates was also slightly yellow compared to my new smart switches, so I went to get a new wall plate at Lowes and they are out of decorators except for screwless - it really upgraded the look of my smart switches. The monoprice ones come with screwless plates, and i thought it was gimmicky until I was forced to switch and I love them! Thanks again for the great content!

    Dope video. I'm ready to buy a few of these but worried about needing a custom device handler with the IDE going away. Any thoughts?

      thank you. as for the driver I would connect with Zooz support about it. we use SmartThings and there is directions here on how to get the driver and install it. www.support.getzooz.com/kb/article/973-zen32-scene-controller-compatible-hubs/ there is also info on other hubs supported. As for the SmartThings IDE, they have been moving over to the new Edge model. We've installed a few of those drivers too, though not yet for this scene controller, which as I just checked is now available.Again, their support can hook you up on that as it is currently beta.

    Thanks for the video. It was very useful. I have Philips hue color bulbs in my basement. Can this switch be used to control Philips Hue light scenes?

      hi Rajan. if you mean control via the Philips hub no. if you have them on a hub like SmartThings you should be able to do so.

      @@Appmyhome Thanks for your reply . My Philips Hue bulbs are connected to both my Hue Hub and Smartthings Hub. I was reading online & came to know about Smart Bulb mode in the latest switches. Inoveli’s Red Series have

      if the scenes are on SmartThings then probably but I’d need to test that to be sure. have you contacted Zooz support they are very helpful.

      I find Home Depot or Lowes work well though haven't seen a 10 gang cover.

    Great video, thanks for sharing! How simple is it to configure the LED of the buttons? I was hoping to place one of these switches in our loft to control some of the lights downstairs but prefer that the button's LED only light up if the corresponding lights are on (and of course, if the lights are off then the LED is off as well). Is this possible?

      Thank you. And yes, when you set up the button you can specify if it is on when on or off when on and visa versa. You can also set it to always off or always on.

    Zooz says not to use this with a fan due to the larger draw a fan uses compared to lights. Any issues with this? Any consideration of this? Thank you for the video.

      hi Robert. thank you for pointing that out. from their website they give this recommendation “The main button on top of the switch can control a resistive load up to 15A, a small fan under 3A, or up to 150 W of LED lights. ”. in our case we have smart fans (haiku) where we are just turning on the electronics. the haiku then powers up the fan as needed, according to haiku the models we have draw at most 30W. so far no issues. you might want to check with Zooz to confirm if your load will work.

    Can the scene buttons only control other zwave devices? Or all devices I might have connected to my Smartthings hub: zwave, zigbee, hue lights, etc?

    • @Appmyhome
      @Appmyhome  3 роки тому +1

      you can control most anything connected via SmartThings doesn’t have to be zwave.

    Will zooz work with Alexa out of the box

    • @Appmyhome

      Hi Ruben, this is a Z-Wave device, so you will need to use it with a Z-Wave hub. The main wired switch will export to Alexa from SmartThings and can be controlled by Alexa. The other buttons only work on the physical switch as they logically pair to a real switch or a scene, and of course a real switch on SmartThings would export to Alexa as expected.
