Ulanzi now has the "FALCAM F38 Double Thread Quick Release Plate", which has both 1/4 & 3/8 screws on the mounting plate. Obviously this won't work unless the camera has holes for both, but it fits the 8sinn cage on my Z-Cam, and eliminates the small amount of loosening I experienced over the last year of using the F38s.
I appreciate when creators are willing to make updates on previous recommendations - it makes this all a healthy process. Thanks for this video, very helpful.
I wondered how the camera plate was screwed on and have to say that I don't like this idea of using coinage to do so. The binding sounds problematic and frequent - this alone has put me off buying a handful of these QR's. It's a shame really as their size factor is ideal for my needs.
You’re welcome!! Bc of this video, I’ve lost some review projects haha but I am glad to share the honest opinion.
I did a review on another release system by another company. I love it. You should check it out.
DUDE, this is at all plates! not ulanzi fault
take a look at these... pretty cool ua-cam.com/video/0F4JZ98VL2s/v-deo.html
@@JohnLe sorry, just got the ulanzi plate on the ronin and its a pain, its the worst thing ever.!!!
just curious but as a rc car pilot and lover, did you try to put loctite blue on there ? clean both the threads with alcohol and tighten the screw just for it to bite down good, let it dry and then test ;)
might be good to but some of the stuff you have, back to work with you.
considering buying the F38 tripod on my side bcz of the price ! tell me if this did any good if you try ;)
I don't think loctite is the solution here. If you're looking for a QR system, i recomend these: ua-cam.com/video/0F4JZ98VL2s/v-deo.html
Acontece a mesma coisa comigo! Triste.
U should use a cage 🙋🏻,, then u will not need a tighten screw every time
seems like a user error. never had this issue with the Falcam.
true video no sells.. thank you bro
I Love Falcam
I have the same problem. I am always having to tighten the screw. I'm glad it's not just me. Well, I'm sad others have the issue also, but I'm glad I'm not crazy. Well, I might still be crazy. I can't blame Ulanzi for that.
im glad to watch this video before spending money on it. Guess I will try manfrotto
Try some Loctite on the screw, it works like a charm.
@@pennycarlson1943 I bought some Loctite.
@@pennycarlson1943Thank you. Yes, I bought some Loctite.
This is accurate. Same problem here.
Thanks bro, eu tenho o mesmo problema, aqui no brasil deu a mesma coisa ahahha
I love ulanzi F38
Agree!!! DON'T BUY THIS!!!!!!!Camera Quick Release Plate sucks I've had cameras to fall off tripods and one broke and also it gets stuck sometimes..
I agree - give this a watch
yes, pgytech plate is better than ulanzi
agree!!!
I don't know how everyone can keep recommending this stupid system. It is so hard to put it back you really need to match everything %100 otherwise it is not gonna click in. I hate that system and unfortunately i believed the youtubers and get 6 of them. I am so angry:@
Btw. Thanks for the video, finally someone is honest.
@@OUCGN Thank you for this! I bought systems too, but it didn't really work for me when i needed it. I don't use the system anymore. I found another brand i like a lot better. I think i'll make a video on that new system.
I can not share your experience. I use this system for almost a year and never had any issues with this quick release system. Mounted it on the camera once changing between bas plates never was any issues! Foe me it just works as it should.
I just received it and it sucks, the plate keeps getting loose no matter how hard you screw it in
@@vincenzodellama7158 perhaps it depends on the camera. I use a Sony A7s3 and a Sony FX3 with the plates and habe no issues. Screwed in once and never got loose.
@@georgspandl767 I have an A7riii, and the base plate doesn't stay on. I can't even turn the camera sideways on a tripod without the base plate turning.
thank you for sharing your experience. I think you're one of the few that it's working for.
@@vincenzodellama7158 Not sure if youve had a chance to take a look at my new set up - ua-cam.com/video/0F4JZ98VL2s/v-deo.html it works
bro you really need to just jump to the point when you make a video. I'm stopped and writing this comment at the 1:28 mark. You've wasted 1 1/2 minutes of my life just talking nothing useful. Get. to. the. point. Right from second 2 or 3 you could say this..... "Hey guys whats up, as you may know I reviewed this product before, but since then I've spent a lot more time using it and here are a few helpful things I've noticed that I wanted to let you know, that may give you a few of the downsides of this product as well. The first one is ______......."
Boom. You've spent maybe 15 seconds saying all that, getting right to the point, and everyone's happy. You gotta learn to get to the point man.
I think your wrong with your review. It just seems that your dogging on ulanzi
thank you for your feedback. if you look at the comments, there are other users who had the same issues. Plus it doesn't serve me anything to talk badly about a brand... actually it cost me some gear for testing.
Falcam = Fall Cam
You went from looking like a professional in your old video to the stereo typical youtuber who dresses like a teenager Dx although your audio has greatly improved, the whole set up and look of this just screams cookie cutter. Rip
lol my guy with the tough feedback!!!!
Blue Loctite.
*mic drop*
This man loctites.
