    I think its just really important to make sure you have the same values as the person you have a child with. That eliminates a lot of conflict on some of the things you were mentioning, such as who pays for what, or who does what. This is the case with not just childcare but life in general. Making sure you guys are on the same page about those important things, such as gender roles, money management, religion etc. means that your relationship will have a strong foundation. There's a lot more to life than "do you guys like the same movies," or "do you guys have the same hobbies." Though these are important, when push comes to shove, values are what matters most.

    Mistakes
    1. Lifting heavy late on my pregnancy
    2. Washing cloth diapers with bleach
    3. Buying brand new baby stuff
    4. Not laboring down
    5. Not talking about roles as parents...
    6. Taking regular prenatal yoga or exercise classes. ⭐
    7. Not hiring a birth photography ⭐

    Thank you so much Jessica ! I think this time around I'll we be setting up cameras and phone to get some souvenirs from our home birth ! For my first I didn't do it and I regret it. Also I regret not knowing about home birth earlier.

    Im 34 weeks pregnant and noticed an overnight separation at my belly button. A couple of days prior I did a spinning babies breech tilt position. Similar to a downward dog but just on my knees. I remember the way the baby moved caused some pain right above my belly button and I had soreness there for the next couple days. Then I woke up the next day after all of that and noticed a gap and indent where my belly button was. Is this how it happened for you or was it over time?

    Such a great video. Question for you. I’m working with a prenatal Pilates professional, but she is still having me do standing rotations (twisting of torso) with spring resistance. Is this safe or will it lead to DR? Can you check during pregnancy if damage has already been done?
    Love your videos. Thanks so much for making them!

    i just had baby #2 3 weeks back and regret not taking maternity pics like I did with my first. In fact the day I delivered, I took out clothes to wear to take some pics in the morning. My cousin offered to edit them for me. But I got lazy and tired and chose to rest instead. Then went into labor in the afternoon Lol. Definitely regret it and hate myself for being a lazy a**.

      Ummm… clearly your body was getting ready to birth… you weren’t being LAZY!! We do the best we can in the situation we are in! I took time writing my birth story after so not to forget 💞 Sending you some love and kindness!

    I think my biggest regret is not taking more pictures while pregnant and not recording my baby being delivered...I really didn't want my hoo ha recorded but maybe at least from the side or something.

      Right! But you can totally aim up, try black and white or cut that part out later. This is such a huge regret for me too 🤦‍♀️

      @@PregnancyandPostpartumTV yes, I wish I had tried to make it work. Sadly I didn't capture that special moment! I'm just so grateful I was able to do it with no medication so at least I felt her coming out in great detail 🙏🏻

    Having my first, what do you recommend buying new vs second hand

    • @PregnancyandPostpartumTV
      @PregnancyandPostpartumTV  2 роки тому

      Almost everything! I would buy a new mattress, and car seat (unless you directly know the person - like a family member). Of course a few outfits might be new also. However, so many good quality pre-loved clothes, high chairs, swings, pack-and play, toddler potty, baby carrier etc… 💞

    Hi Jessica, for medical reasons I’ve been programed to have C section, it’s my first baby. During this time I have been following and doing your yoga and work out videos. How long do you recommend wait to start working out again?

    • @PregnancyandPostpartumTV
      @PregnancyandPostpartumTV  2 роки тому +1

      Usually clearance is 6-8 weeks after a c-section 💞

    I don't want to pry into your personal life of course, but from the story you told about why you aren't having more children, it sounds like you OB/hospital really let you down - could even be considered malpractice! For other doctors to just let you bleed waiting for the other doc seems like ludicrous negligence, and your OB saying what she said about saving your life once and not being able to save your life again sounds like big time ass covering to prevent you from filing a lawsuit. I'd be seeking a second opinion from a different hospital with a bigger and better ob team before you give up on something you want so badly.
