I simply cannot believe he's nearly 80 years old. Saw the first BEAT concert in SJ last week and it was pure bliss. They sound so locked in, it's insane.
Tony has been a hero of mine forever. Seen him play with Crimson and Peter Gabriel, he’s a bass legend. When I heard no Fripp I was kinda spooked, but according to Fripp himself, he said he totally encourages the project. Sooo, bought the tickets. I’m there Tony!
Tony might just be the greatest performer I've ever seen live. The man has a stage presence that's unmatched. There's just something magical about his live energy. Tony Levin puts on such a great show. Very few have impressed me the way Levin has. For me, seeing Tony play is right up there with Holdsworth. My only regret in life is never seeing Bruford live. None of my friends ever wanted to see Eathworks with me & I didn't want to go alone. I should've just went by myself. I've since learned my lesson & try not to miss a great show, even if it means going alone.
Have tickets to see Beat on 9/18 in Phoenix, have seen Adrian and Tony multiple times but this will be special with Steve Vai and Danny Carey, can't wait
I'm taking my son to the Phoenix show from Albuquerque. There was no ABQ show on the schedule (now in December) when I bought the tickets, but that's ok. It'll be a fast and fun trip. I saw Adrian, Tony, and Danny in 2011 in a small club in Santa Fe. They were doing a US van tour - literally 2 Ford passenger vans - which was just amazing to me given their global statures. Really looking forward to the addition of Vai!
My favorite bass player of all time! And super nice guy. He came out and hung out with the crowd in line to see one of his shows in Seattle. Just chatting it up with fans! So glad I could see him in various bands!
I was lucky to meet Tony a few years ago and what a real gentleman he is. I can't praise him enough, a great musician and a great human being. He is such a modest man. Wish I could come to the US to see this BEAT tour. It's gonna be great even if it is just a little different sounding from the 1980's tours. I'm jealous of all those who get to see this tour, damn it, you lucky lucky people. ;-) I can only hope that for fans unable to go to the USA, that it is filmed and recorded as a consolation prize for all of us to see/listen.
Thanks, Anthony! I went to see the Stick Men at the end of July and I loved their original music. The level of touring that Tony is maintaining at his age is incredible. This should be an historic tour. I hope they do decide to document these performances with a professional quality audio/video product if it's possible.
I attended the Fort Lauderdale Beat concert last night. It was impressive. It was probably the most technical show I have ever attended. What a fantastic bunch of musicians.
Thank you Tony for your warmth and dedication to some of the best inspiration that has entered my life. Also your voice and cadence reminds me of my Uncle who was a fan too🥰
This guy is the real deal. Saw him first on the NYC Pier with Crimson in about '82 or '83 when I was still in high school and was just mesmerized. I've seen him perform at least 10 times over the last 40 years with Gabriel, Crimson, LTE, and a totally random time when me and a couple friends decided to see Peter Frampton an hour before showtime. My jaw dropped to see him there on stage. Biggest disappointment was him not being there for the 2 ABWH shows I had tickets for in my area. That really sucked. But the Gabriel shows have always made up for that thankfully.
Just checked out Tony's photos on his website. Excellent! Thanks for doing that Tony. Really great to see what the band is up to as you all approach the Vancouver, Nov 25th show! Really jazzed about seeing you guys there.
I can't wait for the tour to kick off, I'm still super hyped. Vai & Carey + OG Crimson members playing Crimson is what the world needs right now but doesn't deserve
I was lucky enough to have seen the original Beat lineup at Hammersmith Palais 1982/3? Incredible I’ll never forget it- the power of the rhythm section and the soaring leads of Belew / Fripp
Tony is just toooooooooo cooooooooooooooool! I can't wait to hear these cats play soon! I can only imagine it being really good ar candy with this lineup.🥳🥳
Hi Anthony! Hope all is well. Good things come to those who wait. I have great seats to see Beat at the show that was added at Kings Theater in Brooklyn. I saved over $200.00 and don't have to go to the dreaded Beacon. Fracture a leg at Moon June!
I wonder if they will play the show (s) in the vein of the LIVE 81-84 adding "Red" and "Larks Part II" in their setlist !!!!! AND COME TO NORWAY Please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just looked at Tony's first pictures from the Beat Road Diary - looks like they are practicing at Vai's Studio, The Harmony Hut. What a great setup. I'd love to go, but most of the tickets in the New England area are gone (or VERY Expensive at this point).
