I love how Adrian always looks at the camera more than anyone in his interviews, making it so clear how he is aware of addressing us, the wide audience mostly importantly.
I've had the honor to work with him, and he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. I was a nobody kid and he walked right up to me and started chatting with my about The Beatles (I was wearing a Help teeshirt).
Man, I just LOVE Belew as a musician. He's arguably one of the greatest rock guitarists who has ever lived. He's still playing AND SINGING just as good as he did 45 years ago. I'm shocked that he's been able to keep his voice in such great shape.
I just saw Beat last night, what an incredible show! One of my favorite concerts ever. Loved seeing the twang bar king Mustang back in action. Don’t miss this tour.

Meh. I've been listening to the tracks and I think Vai's metalification of Crim is off base. Might appeal to metal heads who like Crim but I don't see it as consistent with the experimental nature of Crim. If anythng, it's full of 80s metal cliches. Since Crim is almost defined as anti-cliche, it's an awkward fit.
@@David-iv6jei couldn’t disagree more and don’t consider myself a metalhead. There is a world of difference between compressed videos and live for sure though. I recommend seeing them live. Highly
I’ve seen Adrian many times and it was always incredible, About 2 years ago saw him and Jerry Harrison . Weirdly enough I was with 2 close friends who’ve also seen him many times. We all agreed it was one of the best shows we’ve ever seen and we are old and have seen hundreds of bands. So psyched to see Beat in December and watch him continue his brilliant work.
My friend who plays drums in our band is going to see Adrian live with BEAT and I still see why he’s so excited for it, I haven’t listened to a lot of ‘80s Crimson (or not much Crimson in general, as opposed to my friend who cites King Crimson as one of his all-time favourite bands) but I’ve always liked his playing, it’s definitely unique as hell and his technique is still really cool to me
I've been playing bass/guitar and reading/watching a multitude of gear stuff on the Internet for almost 4 years, and this made me feel like I just started today. I can't recall when I've been this last awestruck, my mind is blown at all the gizmos and ideas Adrian has in this rig. A mad genius.
Saw the Phoenix Celebrity Theatre 9/18 show. Incredible. Saw the original version in the 80's and this was an excellent performance. Thank you Adrian for your efforts!
I saw Adrien playing the Twang bar king at a bar called Mables in Champaign Illinois way back in the day. Still have a tshirt with it on there and oh yeah still have the record too. He played a few shows there and was always a special treat for us local fans. Thanks Adrien for all the music over all these years.
Belew is my favorite electric guitarist. My friends and I were lucky to have seen him perform last week in Napa, CA performing 80s King Crimson “Beat” Tour.
What an amazing and creative guitarist Adrian is.... also a talented vocalist capable of singing and playing complicated rhythms ... Also a great and humble person, I had the luck to be with him twice
Such a unique guitarist. And somewhat surprisingly, a really great singer - he sings ‘Holy’, the opener to Mike Oldfield’s ‘Earth Moving’ album. First time I heard him sing. Fantastic.
Ted has the easiest job here with Adrian, basically stand there and let Adrian run the show. Great job Ted! And I mean that not in s sarcastic way at all, a lot of other presenters would not have know that the best thing to do is just stay out of the way when dealing with an artist like Mr. Belew.
Me and two of my best buddies are seeing Beat in Detroit late next month...CANNOT WAIT! I've been pointedly avoiding fan-cam videos, subreddits and forums so as to avoid any/all spoilers! 😁
From the first time I saw a clip of Belew playing Stay with Bowie in 78 in Hawaiian shirt doing crazy stuff to this day he just never disappoints. Always super musical, interesting and just joyful.
Adrian is such an innovator and has always been so giving with his knowledge. I was just watching a video from '84 where he does a demonstration of "electronic guitar". Also, I need to get a Parker before they all disappear.
I've had the opportunity to meet Adrian Belew a few times, and he is just like he seems in this video - approachable, enthusiastic about music, and a great guy. He even came out to see our band play, so we threw in some Bowie tunes, and he was as nice as could be afterward. An all-around great guy, as well as an amazing guitar player. I was a huge Talking Heads fan growing up, and also really liked Bowie. Even though I was a little starstruck and fanboying at first, he's been nothing but nice. Will throw in to add that Eastside Music Supply is awesome, and Blair is great to work with. They have an awesome Reverb store, too. Have bought/sold/traded with that place a bunch, and if I had an extra 6 Grand, that zoot suit SG they have would be mine.

I heard the song “Peaceable Kingdom” off of “Mr. Music Head” when I was a kid. It fascinated me. Unlike anything else on the airwaves. It was a new release and somehow made it on the radio. It’s still a favorite.
Love his playing but I really enjoy one of his side groups-The Bears! He used to play through Johnson Amplification, one of the first digital modeling amps.
I own a lot of guitars. Some really, really, expensive guitars. But, man, my go-to will always be my Parker Fly; it's just that good.
