I bought Purple Panda Microphone when I saw your video, I'm really happy with it , I own a Shure MV 88 but I still love the Purple Panda , said all that I'm considering give a try.

I listen with headphones - Power Dewise is clearer and more crisp that the purple panda and rhodes - I found this true in every UA-cam Review - The DeWise is the best over all the Lavaliers at all price points. Its not only priced cheap but it beats the competition n clarity. I'm sold

I've been eyeing the PowerDeWise for a few days on Amazon and this videos inspired me to buy one as a starting point and then upgrade later! I may consider a different brand of lavalier mic down the line. I actually like the quality on all the ones you tested, but for now I'll go the cheaper route.
I got the Purple Panda and honestly, it was rubbish. After working ok for a couple of months, now it records with a static buzzing. I'm ordering the Power de Wise and hope it's better !
Great video as usual Amanda, just wondering why the additional adapters , if this mic has can be directly plugged into the iPhone !? This seemed like a good choice , till i saw the reviews of buyers on amazon, didnt look very encouraging,,after that I’m back to square one and i just do my online classes videos using my iPad Pro.. I hope the amazing design wizards at apple keep their hands away from the mic port on the iPad models.. 😅

It blows my mind that a company with the prestige of Rode has been outdone by PowerDeWise. The PDW sounded far crisper and popped compared to the mid-rage heavy Rode (to my ear). What a time to be alive
@Vincent James Voice agreed. Their high end mics (I have an NTG3 I use for work) are fantastic. But you’re right, I feel like they put out junk in the low end tier solely relying on reputation.
@Vincent James Voice I’ve been using a DeWise for two months now, and it sounds awesome. However it does get these clicks that randomly start. And sometimes the gain just nose dives, and then comes back. Really annoying. Tried buying different apps, and the same thing. So I’ll prolly try the purple panda and see how that does.

My car is 4x4 car and it is very noisy and when i received a call i really meed high quality microphone the same quality of my iPhone microphone.
Sadly, I guess a lot of people were snatching up that PowerDeWise mic during the Corona pandemic because now it's $40 on amazon 😞 Might as well get the purple panda one, as they are about the same price now.
@@AmandaHorvath yeah 😞 I'm hoping it's just due to the Coronavirus situation and not a permanent price increase. The main selling point of the PowerDeWise was that you got a decent mic for a cheap price. Now it's just a regular mic for an ok price. As you said, you might as well get the purple panda because that's more bang for your buck
I have several of the power dewise. You can get a 2 pack of them for about $40 and that's a great deal. Just be warned that on all these little lave mics the aligator clip thingy has a plastic part that will break easily so I bout a bulk pack of those shirt clips real cheap on ebay!
Great video. I just did some recordings where I recorded the sound with Powerdewise lav into my phone, and I'm going to sink them in post. Question...are there are features your use clean up you sound? I've experimenting various options in Premiere what wondering if there is a go to tool you use. Cheers
Does anyone use the PowerDeWise mic with the Panasonic G7 M4/3 camera? I'm currently testing a Purple Panda lav mic and it won't work at all with the G7 camera. I'm using the TRRS to TRS adapter that came with the Panda mic but I'm having no luck. I also tried without the adapter (plugging directly into the camera) and that doesn't work either.

I have a sony a6400 camera I got for $550. 2500$ is in my bank because i didn't go to school this year. 4 different people aren't paying me back my mom always tells me to give her money. Hello AH. I wast a microphone for outdoor use. To use with my GoPro to record motorcycle audio without wind noise. I have tried some microphones but the issue is that they cant handle the vibrations (one literally for ripped off in first use itself when i was riding at a moderate speed) and they are catching the interference from the electronics in the motorcycle. PowerDeWise or any other make got a sturdy one which I can use while riding motorcycle ? Ty
That's a hard one. Most mics struggle from basic wind noise so I'm not sure any mic will be able to handle that. Could you add sound effects in post production? That'd be my recommendation!
@@AmandaHorvath I can hide it under the seat or behind windshield where direct wind blow is there. I am planning to record the actual sound without any music or something like that.
when we click a video based on the title we know what to expect no need to repeat and take over a minute to get into the topic, and 5 minutes before comparisons. anyway good video. but learn to get straight to the topic.

Powerdewise sounds really better than the other. More high frequencies, more warm sound. More precise too.

Only Power DeWise and Purple Panda do not interfere with the DJI mic wireless system. Rode has very strong interference

I am using the PowerDeWise on my Canon 80D and there is a loud hissing sound in the background. What am I doing wrong?
You have your preamp (gain) in your camera set to high.
