I’m a retired Harley mechanic and the sportster is the best and most reliable bike they make, just a little suspension work and you can ride it anywhere
@@armandblakeif you’re willing to watch a few UA-cam tutorials and get some knowledge from an old mechanic, it’s the best decision you could make. No need for an electronic tuner with new mods either.
I’m 58 & have had 3 Sportsters, currently on a 1995 1200, best bike I’ve ever owned, absolutely love it. Your bike is awesome, looks & sounds great, best of luck with it, new sub here from Philadelphia, Pa USA
Enjoy that Sportster! She looks to be a beaut!! I loved my Sportsters. The 1200 motor and low end torque made them a blast to ride. Plus I think they are a bike that you can truly make yours and not be like anyone else's bike! Enjoyed seeing your bike!
I have a 02 1200 Sportster I bought new. Love it. It has V & H pipes, Andrews N-4 cams, Screaming Eagle air intake S&S high fire ignition. I also have a 95 EVO Wide Glide, but ride the sporty 95% of the time. Take care of a Sportster and it will last and be something you pass down to your son.
Awesome looking bike, I ride a Iron 1200 through the same streets in Perth. I've had bigger bike's but there's just something about the 1200 sporties and so much customisation available too. Great video 👍🇦🇺
Verry beautiful love the color! I just recently bought mine and i was wondering where did you got that sissy bar it looks clean and simple love it! Thanks.
Had several sportys and big twins. Put way more miles on the sportys-just too fun to ride. Best one was a 82 sporty, bought new and rode it for 100k with one top end rebuild. Wish I could have that one back. Think I will look for a 72.
Awesome sporty. Love my 1996 XLH1200. it might rattle a few teeth loose and make my ears ring after a tour but it makes me giggle like a school boy every time i find a tunnel:P
Now you need to put the Iron 10.5 inch shocks on rear....... I do have some 13.5in to put on Iron.....been thinking about it just to try.....and try the 10.5 on my XR
I like the 2003 and earlier style, but that's a good looking Sporty. What tank did you say that you had on it? I have a Softail tank on mine. Beside the fact that you can ride farther on it, it looks good, and it has a working gas gauge. I love that seat? What is it, and where can I get one? I'm curious if they're made for earlier models, too. I want one. That's a '72, right? I know that model comes with mini-apes, but is that a different set? It looks like you have a different set of levers on there. There aren't any clear shots, though. I like that sissy bar, too.
Hey what seat do you have on the bike? I just picked up a 13' seventy-two and the stock solo sucks. I feel like I slide off everytime I punch it I love that two up you have on there.
I have a 06 Harley Sportster 1200.low. I’m looking for a place to buy a pair of 16 inch ape hangers and a 1.5 inch lift. If anyone knows where I can go can you tell me please

Wow 😮
I'm thinking of the early 90s carburated 883. I read that they are very reliable?
yes@@V8AmericanMuscleCar
Would it be wise to go for a carbureted one?

It is nice to see a few young riders still get it. Two wheels and an open highway is what it has been all it's about.
Exactly. The simplicity of it , as the guy mentioned

That's cool to hear mate! Thanks for subscribing also!
Sweet. Good for you. I love Sportsters they still have that old time Harley Davidson feel and sound. Great looking bike.
Callan has done such a good job on this build!

Yeah for sure, there are so many options and directions you can go with them

Looks great , sits right , sounds perfect, nice 👍
Nice Job on that bike!
It fits you really well...
Also the Story to it makes a lot of sense...

I have a 05 1200 custom xl. Super nice bike. I agree with you. Want to keep it the rest of my days.

Some nice modifications you've got there!
Cool bike. These Ride Journal videos are really well done. Keep 'em coming. I'm looking forward to seeing the channel grow.
Thanks for the kind words and for stopping by!

Really liked this take on the Sporty. I do like the cleaner lines and set up.
This is what motorcycling is just enjoy the ride enjoy your bike because sometimes you just want to go out and take a ride.
All Hail the Mighty Sportster 😎🇺🇲
Verry beautiful love the color! I just recently bought mine and i was wondering where did you got that sissy bar it looks clean and simple love it! Thanks.

It's a very nice motorcycle!
13 gallon tank! lol Where do I get one of those because I'm tired of filling mine up every 90 miles!!
😂
😂
Nice sissy bar and break lights. Where did you get those?
Your bike is really a beauty! Which speedometer or which handlebar clamp did you install? I wish you many years of fun and luck with these Sporty!
Really informational! Great video, loved it thoroughly! Keep it up!

Haha! That's awesome to hear
great simple beauty .. with sportster can’t go wrong if you are looking a minimal bike.
handlebars?
I should change to a cruiser soon. I've been riding a Honda CBR but back starts to hurt on long rides
Beautiful bike man ✌🏽

I have 2013 "72" that I'm gonna turn into a true chopper build. Hardtail and all with some real questionable mods. Haha EFI to carburetor conversion.
Sounds epic!
got an 05 low and good in traffic which is almost everywhere in nj i think much more sensible if u cant find any" wide open spaces"
so cool
I have 3 Dynas, 2 are drag raced regularly. How do I blow off some steam, let my hair down? Ride my completely stock 07 883.
Nice mate! Quite the collection
well described , i have an 98 XL1200S , and think the same ....😁
Can you say extactly what is the handlebar brand and model? Please🙏🏻 thanks.
72 is the best looking sportster by far
I like the 2003 and earlier style, but that's a good looking Sporty.

I believe Callan said it was a '72 tank/fender kit. The sissy bar was custom made, and the seat is also custom made using the original seat pan
Got an Iron 883 and still can't find the reason to upgrade to a bigger one.

@@Unjust1 fuck me wish i would have seen that I just ordered a la pera. Possibly had to sell of a first born child.
anyone noticed the bell below the engine?
Who makes the seat...?

Nice bike, where did you get the handlebars from?
.
Vero nce bike, where did you get the handlebars ?
Hey hey what is that speedometer please ❤️
I prefer sportster, I've had three; a xl1200 Fatboy style, a xl1000 and a xlch fitted with an evo motor, (still own that one).
That looks scary as hell driving on the wrong side of the road 😅
My guy said it had a big 13 gallon tank, yeah i bet it was big lmao
Thinkin he meant liters...
How tall are the guy?
I love Sportsters but at 6'3" I'm a little too tall so it's the Road King for me.
6'7 and can fit fine with forward controls
Did he say a "13 gallon tank on it"??
No sir, No it did not 😂
What's this guy's IG?
how tall are you please? :D
I have a 88 candy brandy winred
Sportsters are harder to ride than the big twin because of the higher center of gravity.
is that helmet legal maaaaate
Norm bike . Sit down and go.
Too much up talking.
