Honestly. A few years ago i would say i feel jealously when watching your video's. Now that I've grown as a man i feel happy for you living the kinda life i want. There's nothing more than i want than to be out exploring and building rigs. I don't wanna do my day job anymore which is a an auto tech in the insurance repair industry. It's very stressful and not reliable as in the work flow is never the same so my check varies massively. And then my rig being down for 4 months I've been extremely depressed and generally unhappy and stressed , i am happy for you and your family living this life and find great enjoyment watching your videos and living vicariously through what your living while I'm waiting on my new engine to get here. Thank you for sharing. It's getting me through these tough times

Sorry to hear that you're going through a rough patch and I'm glad the videos help. I know what it's like to go through some tough times. Being in the Navy for 26 years, I spent a lot of time deployed away from my wife and kids and some of my assignments were pretty stressful, like my tour in Fallujah with the Marines in 2006. And raising a young family on an enlisted Navy salary meant we often lived payday to payday. I knew I wanted a better life and I worked hard toward my goals (making rank) and kept a good attitude to get me through. What I'm trying to say is, if you aren't happy with where you are, maybe figure out how to set yourself on a different path and aim for the future you want. Hang in there buddy!

I was lucky to have several different friends like these guys over the years. I grew up in Vegas riding dirt bikes all over southern NV. Our neighbors were in their 60s and had grown up there. They showed us all kinds of hidden gems.
I bought my first 4x4 in 1991 when I was a 18 yr old in the Navy. I was fortunate to hook up with some of the guys in Terra Del Sol. I’ve had the good fortune of meeting many others over the years to explore untold places from Baja to Moab and CO with.
I’ve been to so many places over years but I bet I haven’t seen half of what’s out there.

Hi! Brad: My dad was a scoutmaster, but I never wanted to become a scout. Still, I often remember the Scout motto - Be Prepared!
That is what you need to be thinking when preparing for a trip. Forgetting to fill the washer bottle is not acceptable. Being prepared is like being happy. You either are or you aren't.
Too, I notice a lot of Jeepers and 4wd enthusiasts think they can go anywhere. My background is 2wding. I love going places 4wd'ers got stuck. And I drive right on through without spinning my tires.
It is not so much your vehicle, but what you know how to do with your vehicle.
I've also noted a lot of 4wd'ers don't carry chains. Again, that idea - they can go anywhere. When Jim was having trouble keeping from sliding off the trail in the snow, that was a good time to put chains on.
I know 4wd'ers think they have everything they need. But it never hurts to carry chains. Even if you aren't planning to go where it is snowy or muddy. Brad, try just once with chains on the front tires of your jeep, and see how you can still get around in slippery situations. Once you realize that, think how much better your Jeep can go with chains on all four wheels when the going is slippery.
Oh, one more thing. Do you know what causes wash-board roads? Driving fast on dirt roads! In fact when you drive fast on a washboard road, what you are doing is extending the washboarding. Haven't you noticed, when you go through an area of washboarding you've been through before, the washboarding is most likely longer that it was the last time? The next time you go on a washboard road you often frequent, put a marker at the end of the washboarding. Then check the length of it again on a later trip.
Oh, I'm now a four year owner of a 34 year old Jeep Cherokee. But I still drive like I have 2wd. I only use 4wd when truly needed. And I never spin my tires if I can help it.
    Brad, don't forget, Be prepared!

Glad you guys are able to explore my home state. I've lived here in Las Vegas for 25+ years and I'm amazed that the amount of stuff you get to explore and uncover here are endless. Nevada was a mining state during the gold rush so you'll come across tons of ghost towns everywhere. I suggest exploring the north and some nuclear test craters in the vast deserts by Area 51. Good stuff.

He said "you got to go to the west, the most beautiful places in the US are in the west". Your videos prove him right. Now, I got a question, how much you got to budget, let say, per day?
