- Presented this week is another "clearing the Shelf of Doom" build (SoD). In this case, the timelapse build is Dragon (DML) 1/48 scale FW-190A-7 "Slipper" testbed aircraft for a drop tank option for the FW 190 which would increase fuel capacity without creating the high drag of standard centerline drop tanks. The experiment succeed in reducing the top speed loss of the focke-wolf. However, the tanks threw off the fighter plane's center of gravity, requring that the fuselage tank be left empty making the configuration ultimately useless outside of Mistel configurations.

Wow!!! I remember when you first started, still subbed but for some reason I don't get notifications. A great result my friend and well done on the success of your channel.👏👏👏👏
Great job!
Thanks!
You got a nice result out of this kit. Hopefully Hobby Boss will decide to release a family of Fw 190As in 1:48 to finally replace the Dragon kits.
That would certainly be nice.
My only gripe with hobby boss is that sometimes the kits they release are inaccurate in some areas. A good example are their F6Fs and late series F4Us with the huge almost 1/32 canopies on 1/48 fuselages to the point it's actually distracting. The dragon kits are all mostly 80's Trimaster toolings basically with a few exceptions. Fantastic at the time but now somewhat "meh" to today's standards. Doesn't help dragon's boxings are subpar compared to the original trimaster releases. The Eduard 190's are my go to, a bit pricy but better overall
@@lordtyranus9074 eduard 190's look really nice, never had the chance to pick one up though. Eduard is the model company I really wish my LHS stocked because half the stuff I want were I to order it from their website shipping is more than the list price of the kit and it's got a short eternity of a lead time.
What’s up with the censor thing
I had a gross injury on my finger, you can see it scarring later in the vid.
can we see you build a locomotive
Id like to at some point. Not sure if big and static or very small and dip my toes into layouts with an N or Z scale desktop thing.
