@Nate…waxing the string and lubing the rail will extend your string life and the life of your string’s serving. The serving rides on the rail of your crossbow. If you’re not lubing the rail, the wear will be on the serving. Waxing the string keeps it from fraying, thus getting more life out of your string. Some people wax the serving too. A light coat initially is all I’ll say. I actually use silicone wax on mine.
Can I fire a excalibur assembled out of the box or do I need to wax the rail and string.
