09 VRRA Mosport Vintage Festival sunday medium practice Part 2
I'm having problems this year ,I have the stringer as tight as possible and I still can't get last loop on,it's the right string because can't get old one on either?
I made my own T-handle arrow puller out of a scrap piece of walnut heartwood . Took me about 10 minutes to make the puller and it works great ! So if you have a little spare time make your own and save yourself $30 . If you want to go crazy and customize it , it will take you a little longer but it was fun to make !
I’m not sure this applies to a Dead Zone scope? I’m having serious trouble figuring out the Dead Zone scope adjustments for left and right? If you turn right to move right, shots are further to the left? Sight dial does not have L&R directions marked, so turning left or right, does not appear to work, on the scope I have? Any advice here would be appreciated!
At 0:34 the narrator says to drill two 7/16” holes to mount the Crank mounting bracket… anyone know what size he meant? 7/16 would be two holes, each nearly one half inch… clear a mis-quote! Thanks
what if the full draw latch doesnt click forwards .. i still cant decock my bow
thank you
Can you tell me what size Allen wrenches the first two bolts you removed are as well as the ones on the air-brake pads?
Thank You for showing and sharing on how to install the excalibur limbs properly.
One of the very worst things you can do while trying to inform the public is to distract us with that horrible loud noise that some call music. If you really want to help us learn; just talk, no music, just talk, get it?
I love my assassin420, rangefinder and this weapon are near fool proof
The last two deer I’ve gotten the broadheads did not expand. Fortunately, the deer were taken through the lungs and I retrieved them. Wondering why my Broadhead did not expand both times?
Thanks I found serving wax 👍
Is serving wax any different than string wax ? I can’t find serving wax anywhere.
And then how do you take it down? The cocking hook is always still attached to the string
Please watch full video.
why should we have to do that?
looks easy but it is not. First of all, the adjusting loops on the stringing aid keep slipping, so you need to tie knots to hold it. Secondly, with the mag 340 model, you have to use the string cocker, not just hand pull on the stringing aid. So far I've done 40 tries with another person helping and can't get the new string on. My back is shot after all that and no string change done. Very frustrating.
Great 👍
perfect - thank you !
I wonder how this system compares to using the EXT crank system with other models from Excalibur? I'm personally looking at the Assassin Extreme right now vs the Micro + the EXT handle since I am disabled and can't cock normally
The Charger EXT crank is an external removable system instead of built in like the Assassin crank. The Assassin system allows the entire trigger system to move up and down the mainframe/rail where the Charger EXT uses two hooks that attach to the string. Both systems do the same thing, the Assassin system is just built in and does not use hooks.
The Charger EXT is a little faster to use being external- but I personally like having an internal crank such as this one or on the new Rev X. The internal crank is a little more safer as well verses the external. Just my personal view!
where did you get the spring from? Part #?
If you need a replacement spring you can get it directly from Excalibur Crossbow.
Is there a washer on top of limbs under limb bolts?
Yes, there is typically a tapered washer.
How do you dampen the rattle it makes on the platform?
You know if there are any Videos on changing the calking rope or crank rope on an Assassin 420 TD ?
It's really great crossbow
I tried Excalibur Firebolts on my Excalibur Equinox crossbow. The rail wore grooves in the shaft. The threaded insert in the back will eventually pull out if the arrow from multiple target removals. I switched to Easton 2219 aluminum shafts with Easton flat plastic nocks. I use an Bohning arrow wrap and glue on my own 2" Bohning Blazer vanes. I will never buy or shoot another carbon shafts arrow.
I like this guy.
I have a micro 340 TD but if i want to remove the string for long time storage, I dont see any dissipator pads in the front like the crossbow you show here. should i remove something else?
Your Micro 340TD did not come standard with the DP pads so you have nothing to remove. You can just remove the string.
I’m having a hard time finding a cheek piece for my Exocet 200. Any ideas where I can pick one up in the hardwoods color?
Hi folks -- could you make a follow-up video to show how to replace the cord/rope on the internal Charger cord found on the Assassin series? Thanks in advance!
yes we need to see how its done on the assissian too
Changing the cocking rope on the Assassin has to be done at the factory.
Just bought a GRC2...my first crossbow! Been shooting firearms for years. This safety video was very very helpful! Excalibur is a class act!
What would you recommend to shoot for a target head if you are going to use the x-act to hunt with? Thanks.
carbon fiber is not as trust worthy ,i had a arrow blow up and cost me a buck because i did not see the damage on the arrow
Thanks so much
Somebody says the new limbs for the mag 340 are little thicker than original ones then what do you do?
The current limbs still fit no problem, some of the old risers need the sharp corners of the recoil plate posts to be dressed with a file to allow them to fit better.
@@y2kmx5 i have an older equalizer/matrix. One of the limbs broke. Excalibur mailed out replacement limbs and string. I tried to install last night but limbs don’t fit in the limb pocket and the edges splintered a little bit. I wasn’t aware I was suppose to file some of the frame/limb pocket to get the limbs to sit better. Excalibur is sending me new limbs. Waiting to see how they fit before I file the frame.
I couldn't find this video on Excals site. But it was clearly made by Excal. Are you an employee? Either way, thanks for sharing these.
learning the hard way ,bows not destrung will weaken the limbs
With no disrespect if your going to make a video on how to change the string show all the steps !!!! don't edit things out ( like the length of new rope , size of the rope ) thanks !!!
WD 40 IS a cleaner, not a lube!!!
It's both lol military use it as such.
Does anyone have a link to the Dacron style strings he is talking about for the Excalibur Matrix 355?
there's little room for error with these broadheads.. the cutting diameter is smaller meaning less blood trails, you're either going to hit a double lung & heart shot and put your game down quickly or else risk not recovering the game. they're tough and a good weight, if only the cutting diameter was a bit wider.
4 deer in two years . No more Than a 40 years blood trail .two turkeys. I am sold
This man invented my bow excalibur exomax awesome
Nicely done, thank you!
Great information!
I've heard the bolt cutters don't leave blood trails
Thanks a lot ! Can you use serving wax to wax the remaining of the string ? Or that is a different product ?
Great video. How many cranks do you suggest can be done on a Matrix 400 before the rope needs replacing?
I've been swackin and stackin with these for years. Never failed me.
so twisting counter clockwise (loose) will bring the string back away from the limbs?
Counter clockwise tightens so yes clockwise loosens and pushes forward.
"pretty much bulletproof" micro suppressor left limb broke shooting the arrows it came with only after a few sessions sighting in the scope! nobody teaches how to do the brace height which way to twist the dang rope.
All the new bows are breaking. Excaliber doesn't want to admit they are producing inferior bows!
