Hi friends! Thank you so much for watching todays video - I know it’s a little different than our usual content but I hope this is helpful! The next basement episode will be up on Sunday. Thank you for watching!! ❤
The gate looks so great! And excellent call, having pros set the posts for you. Digging and leveling and setting 27 posts would have been a huge job. Work smarter, not harder. 😅
The gate is absolutely gorgeous!!! Andrew is a total woodworking genius. He is the star of this video. We love Sabrina. She's a true queen but gah Andrew is a stud!!!
Beautiful fence, the extra details to give it a more complete look, plus the gate fixtures....really brings this to another level, while keeping it simple. I'm already imagining what the lights on each post will look like at night along with your gorgeous yard.
It was great to see Andrew in his element describing what to do, but your whoosh scared the living daylights out of me each time, making me physically jump and take a big intake of breathe that then I startled the dogs.😂😂❤
Always excited to watch anything you post!! The hard work you put into your projects is inspiring and everything you guys do turns out beautifully. (Even the white on white in the basement somehow looks so much more stunning than it sounds! 😆) I found your channel last month from one of your pool videos and have since watched everything I could find. Really enjoy how you and Handy Andy work together and your sense of humor 😁 Keep up the good work!
@aspenackley I completely forgot you guys live in Canada until I seen your sweater. And even more random, I just barely heard of Banff a few weeks ago when my cousin told me she was going to visit, she's actually there now. I cannot believe how absolutely beautiful and stunning that place is!! I would hands down take that over California any day.
An amazing g gate- well done! Have you ever considered making doggie peek windows? Doggies are so appreciative and less anxious about activities outside the gates. A Gram from MO.😊
The way it’s built (glued, screwed and half lap joinery) a brace isn’t required the only way it will sag is if the post leans in, or the hinges fail. There are spring loaded casters at the ends of the gates to relieve the pressure anyways so the brace would just add extra weight
Looks good. What kind of wood did you use for the gate frame? It doesn't look like pressure treated. Also, spindle and connectors-any info on where to purchase? TY
You guys are such an amazing team! Andrew did a great job! He comes across a bit serious, but I know it’s because he’s striving for excellence. Something needed to be an amazing carpenter! Sabrina always brings so much joy and sparkle! Love your videos…❤
Did you only build the gate on one side of your property? Did you make it as long as your property line? You’ve spoken so much about getting rid of the chain link fences in your backyard and putting in cedars for privacy. Would you consider this type of fencing throughout?

Beautiful. Thank you for the tutorial. I need to fix my twenty year old gates. One single and one double set.

You are so kind for saying that, thank you for taking the time to watch!! We appreciate you!
Love the informative video!! I love all of your content and although I am not a diy'er or even building anything, I thoroughly enjoyed watching 😊
I like the videos when you teach us things. You both are very good at it. I really like the fence.
Thank you Lisa!
love the cost breakdown! i knew that lumber couldn't be cheap but it's definitely cheaper than having someone do all that installing too
Beautiful Fence. The gate is gorgeous!!❤❤❤
Thanks for the instructive video. You all are a great team/couple.
Thank you Andrew for all the info. My husband and I are about to put up a fence with a gate and we weren’t exactly sure where to start.
That is great to hear, I'm glad it is helpful to you!
What a beautiful gate!! You did an awesome job of explaining as you went along!! Thank you!!!
Thank you for watching!
The fence is beautiful. I've been enjoying your videos.
Looks great, lets hope our winter isnt too hard on it before you get a chance to seal it.
What a beautiful fence and gate. Thank you for the video.
Absolutely beautiful. I love watching everything you do.
Wow that's actually not bad at all with how large of a fence you have. Great job!
We definitely saved a lot doing it ourselves! Thanks for watching :)

Construction speak is like another language to me. I was lost! The fence looks beautiful though!!
Absolutely gorgeous fence! And Gate! I need to hire you! 🙃🙃☺️☺️
An amazing g gate- well done!
Have you ever considered making doggie peek windows? Doggies are so appreciative and less anxious about activities outside the gates.
A Gram from MO.😊
awww the dog bell is perfect!
Beautiful work! Where did you get the metal spindle kit from?
I did the same fence for our backyard this summer. Curious why you didn’t opt for a diagonal brace, the gates are pretty wide.
The way it’s built (glued, screwed and half lap joinery) a brace isn’t required the only way it will sag is if the post leans in, or the hinges fail. There are spring loaded casters at the ends of the gates to relieve the pressure anyways so the brace would just add extra weight

Just a Beautiful job! I loved it.

You are so kind thank you for watching!
Beautiful gate.
That is awesome!!! Love the gate!
Gate and fences look great.
To prevent splitting, put the drill in reverse first to get the screw hot, then drill as normal.
Did you only build the gate on one side of your property? Did you make it as long as your property line? You’ve spoken so much about getting rid of the chain link fences in your backyard and putting in cedars for privacy. Would you consider this type of fencing throughout?
Looked really good 👍
I love it. Very nice !!!!
Your site supervisor at 16 minutes lol 🐾
CUTE I LOVE IT!❤
Great work!
Beautiful!!!
Both gates need a diagonal brace to support itself and stop sagging.
Diagonal from bottom hinge, to top of locking side.
Other than that looks good 👍
Does the fence have gaps and though, and does it matter (for privacy)
Looks so good! Can you come and do the fences in my garden please?! London UK 😊
Where will you park your cars now that the gate is complete? You said in the video you plan to keep the doors closed most of the time.
Nice Job
i love your content
Next time?, edit the video, & do a voice-over narration.
That’s the only thing that would make it better & perhaps a lot easier on You 2 too!.
Get a waist pouch for the nails next time to save u'r knees😊
Love the bell 👍🏻
I would have failed spectacularly had I attempted to fix our fence. Thanks.
