After like 20 years of interest, never pulling the trigger, you guys, specifically mr initiative finally got me to try the game. After 2 long months of building my 1k army, I finally played my first three games this weekend. Lost 1 to ultramarines, won 2 vs world eaters. MESSED UP HIS ANGRON WITH MY MEGANOBZ. had so much fun, thanks for nudging me to start playing. Going back next weekend, currently expanding to a 2k army.
We need more Space Wolves!! Love to see my boys finally getting some more play! And even if it is weak, I love the use of Champions of Russ, still the most flavorful detachment in the game. But really should have brought some Bladeguard and/or Wolf Guard Termies. My personal favorite combo is full bladeguard led by Ragnar and a LT.
Idea for a future terrain/game area. Fully indoor battle area, like a huge space station. You can melta through walls, if you want, both sides have tokens for when moving through the area until the tokens see each other. Naturally you CAN capture a soldier, depending on the faction, to interrogate and reveal their army's locations and troops. Three stories tall, you can burn through the floor too, or if you go so that only the sides are elevated, you can have perched snipers and whatnot. Then add in a neat little addition: Daemons, all over. LOTS of them. they're not part of either side's stuff. They're on their own and will fight and engage anyone that comes close enough. The mission is to exfiltrate a character from the middle of the map. However, if there's a chance that the enemy gets that character exfiltrated you can kill the target. No Manta though in the 3rd or 4th turn.... But a wild and insane Warlord appears?
Amazing game, guys! My heart could barely take the ups and downs. 😂 It was a nailbiter to the very end! LOVE Steve's wolf invictor and James' orky Jaeger-knight! I hope we see em again soon! Also, absolutely loved the music choices this match ❤
It always amazed me how Steve can turn such bad situations around for such nailbiters! People say his dice fail, I think he's just an amazing pilot for combating fate at the same time.
I feel like (especially for this list) if he ran the stormlance detachment and went hyper aggressive with the mounted units and the inceptor he would've performed a bit better. Honestly it was the dice that hurt him more this game then the actual faction choice because the Morkanought was a whole 295pts of sadness. Imo. Like that Mek boy being able to shoot off 2 Eradicators was pretty lucky lol.
I haven’t played my first game yet. Putting together my first gorkanaut. You guys are great, thanks for giving me the balls to finally try warhammer, after like 20 years of interest. Edit: especially Mr initiative, he’s the man. I had interest in orks, but Mr initiative really got me to like them. Most of the players have passion, but he’s a real life ork warboss lol.
@@kingjonstarkgeryan8573 they have pre set loadouts. There is no drawing of secondaries. And that‘s basically it. The game is exactly the same. There are no different rules for movement, for dice rolling, for shooting, fighting or what ever. Most ppl start into the hobby with a CP and not a 2000pts army, that takes you around a year to paint it properly.
@@meinfreundfranz Maybe now but CPs also have shitty synergy and balance so it is really isn't a good starting point for playing. In addition, not looking out for secondaries can lead to dangerous habits that could translate to real games. Edit: No one is saying to start playing at 2k but you can still run a small game at 500 points.
Always happy to see Orks on 40k in 40 fantastic game enjoyed every minute of it, one note for future games is that the ork mek boys ability is worded strangely and only the model he heals gets +1 to hit which is fine when he's healing a battlewagon or morkanaut but he cant buff an entire unit of mekgunz or killa kans.
I love it when a player feels good after making through the Dakka with only a few chipped off wounds, because then I get to remind them that we are Orks, the Dakka is just for fun. The Charge is where we stand on business.
Not sure where to put this but after Helsreach, have a battle between the Salamanders and the Black Templar. I know they fought on the same side but if the Salamanders had of advanced with the Templars. A lot of Templars might of lived.
I'm glad to see more space wolves on the channel but I wish there were more actual SW units on the board. Like it's a bit disappointing that the only thing separating this from generic space marines are 1 combined unit of grimnar and thunderwolves, which is only 1/7th of a 2000pt list. I'm going to assume it's because of the models you have on hand though because if I had to have everything up to this standard it'd take me years. Still I wish there had been a SW dread, grey hunters, and wolf guard instead of the generic primaris equivalents
Cool game! I always love it to see James gaming. (The rest is cool too!) One little errata for the next game: the painboy is a leader, he cannot have both a Warboss and a painboy in one unit.

As a reminder. The Meks ability is only for a MODEL not the unit. The Killa Kan unit shouldnt have all gotten a plus to hit. Just one

Boyz are able to have two leaders attached when they are 20 models strong and one of those leaders is warboss. Check their bodyguard section.

Hi I know this video is an old one but when you roll you see who is attacker or defender of you win you get to choose you are just the attacker.
While I think that is true for the core rules the chapter approved mission pack states that the winner of the roll chooses attacker or defender.
