Olivier Roussin once upon a time, a game call bl1 where most of the assault rifles were shit if you weren't playing roland (combat rifles to be specific). Besides, bl2/tps assault rifles don't suck they are actually pretty good.
At level 25 while playing my first play through I killed a Badass bruiser and he drops a purple Hunter’s Shotgun (level 25, 145x10 damage 90% accuracy, fast reload with a 4 clip size ) and I found myself using it up towards level 50 enemies and killing them with ease. That was easily my favorite Shotgun in the game. Also the Volcano was the best sniper
It may be a small thing, but I really liked how borderlands 1 had a distinction between revolvers and repeaters. I understand it doesn't make a difference in borderlands 2 and TPS, but it was something that gave me more options and things to consider when choosing weapons.
Here 5 years later, playing through Borderlands again with my son. Still super fun! I would like to add to your list the Maliwan Pestilent Defiler. With a good Mordecai Assassin Mod it is insane, but even without it, it is very, very good! 6 rounds, good fire rate, accuracy and zoom. Makes short work of most enemies. If you pair it with another revolver with ammo regeneration, you never have to worrry about running out of ammo...
Literally using this strategy right now, paired a defiler with a masher equalizer (ammo regen and shotgun style rounds) which if you can find is absolutely ridiculous. This way I can use the survivor class mod for health regen and not need the gunslinger mod
Currently using the maliwan pestilent defiler for my Roland. I got it around level 30 and even now I'm just edging along level 60 and it still has the potential to oneshot enemies. Mine does 769 base damage with a multiple of 4 corrosive damage. I also have a class mod for Roland that increases ammo capacity and fire rate for all weapons to instead of being limited to firing 2 rounds I can atleast fire 4.
Who else enjoys the grittery darker cartoon style of Blands 1 over Blands 2? Personally I like how the guns look more realistic in this game and the environment textures look a lot better in some areas than Blands 2. Elemental revolvers look so legit with the glowing elemental chambers.
Skullmasher was godly with Mordecai and his skill where the action skill is reduced by shooting enemy with sniper because it counted as 6 hits so pretty much immediately removed the cooldown mix that with a heavy bloodwing build and you could just constantly send him out
I missed the Hellfire from Borderlands1 it was the first and my favorite Legendary in that game... sadly the Hellfire kinda sucks now... it's just so lacking. I do miss some of the S&S guns like the Orion.
Dark Vampire but Atlas and S&S were awesome, 😢 why would Gearbox get rid of them? Really stupid if you ask me, and besides Bandit is not that great, sorry .

Atlas might come back for BL3 and I would love them to do any gun but there Jack/Jill of all Trades in terms of stats or whatever guns they have they are just some of the best. Cookiequestplays I'm with you. BL1 Guns actually feel, sound, and look like real guns. While BL2 Guns look impressive on their own, they just don't have the same heavy feeling like the guns from BL1.

I agree. I found a Volcano at level 30 and found myself still using it on level 50+ enemies until I finally got a level 60 volcano, also the Difiler was an absolute beast against the Crimson Lance in the General Knoxx dlc

Crimson Material Hyperion guns in BL1 looked like something Plato might have imagine as the ideal aesthetic work of beauty. Funny though how in BL2 Gearbox seemed willfully determined to then make Hyperion so abhorrent to even look at, some of us only very reluctantly could stand to even think about them being in our inventory pack. But there are a lot of awesome things about the first game's gun. The Revolvers were awesome, and machine pistols were, some of them, super sexy little beasts. Then you have Gearbox's afterthought weapons, the Eridian alien guns. Sure they had problems... well, to be honest, I don't know how they could have implemented them so poorly without some kind of depraved trolling of the player base, intentionally, but, ah well. They were still fun to mess around with, and way more interesting that Etech.
In Borderlands 1 I know that the assault rifles were actually automatic instead of 90% of the ARs being semi automatic like in Borderlands 2 which I found annoying. Then the shotguns usually have really bad ammo in Borderlands 2 for like no reason.
I hope SOOOOO much that they bring the bl1 loot system back its fun being able to find a great weapon in any rarity even in late game that way you are always on your guard

i mean borderlands 2 had that luck factor also. i love how certain enemies have a lowet or high drop rate. like i could spend 4 hours farming for a DPUH. it's the game where you can do the same thing over and over and over again and still love the game lmao

My favorites in no particular order: -Atlas Pearl Havoc (a scoped one with a rof 15 is a jack of all trades and ranges) -Maliwan Defiler (basically a sniper with a bigger ammo pool. Oh, and it's one of the best corrosive weapons and easy to find) -S&S Munitions Orion (one of the best shock weapons) -Maliwan Hellfire (dat DoT... need I say more?) -Vladof Vengeance (at least in the original BL1 (not the remaster) the trespassing effect can be transferred to any gun as long as Vengeance is one of the four wielded guns at the start of the game. Don't know what's the situation now...) -Torgue Cobra (Torgue's time to SMASH!) -Dahl Penetrator (like an op assault rifle with superior scope. Works well with Rolands support gunner class mod) -Jakobs Unforgiven with masher barrel (Crawmerax has a ptsd because of this) -All Tediore ammo regen legendaries (ammo regen equality for everybody! I hope these are back in BL3...)
IMO, unforgiven is the best revolver given the damage is amazing and it regenerates ammo. My fav gun tho is the Detonating Cobra sniper rifle. I got a lvl 38 version and was able to use it effectively throughout playthrough 2 on lvl 50ish enemies without issue and still occasionally use it on lvl 69 enemies with 4-6000 dmg output with mordecai's buffs. Explosive sniper rifles.... Once upon a time in Borderlands.
the Firehawk is probably the strongest fire pistol in the game. it's bigger brother, the HellFire SMG, has a burn damage of x4 that procs on every hit. BUT.... the Firehawk procs with a burn damage of x6. meaning, if you get a version of it with the right parts and prefix, any flesh-based enemy will die from its fire damage rather quickly
John Studious it’s a good gun and I like it, but given the hours I’ve spent playing pistol mordecai, it’s not a “good” gun if your are willing to hang out and farm a proper legendary S&S machine pistol. The only advantage is that is has fire, but doesn’t make it better than a Thanatos. I could easily find S&S machine pistol better than Thanatos, with claptrap robo revoltion dlc.
My top 5 1.Orion - Those three projectiles and shock made me go crazy 2.Firehawk - 6x fire damage. 3. Defiler - Knox was a cake walk with one that had two bullets, the fast reload speed (the one where the screen goes down then up real quick), and the 4.Invader - BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM! 5.Crux by S&S (not the Crux by Maliwan which was to be called the plague) I used this gun RELIGIOUSLY it gave off a better feel than any gun Torgue had. Fun Story. 11 year old me finds a Hellfire. I tell my older bro who was on the computer and he looks at me crazy. Looks at it and see the stats. He Says he can't believe I found and obtained one. He also said he might take it from me. He tells me what was so bonkers about it. He then tells me to go through a good portion of the game with it. My first play through was cheesed by my older brother telling me something. Could have been better if I was a Siren, but I was a Soldier. Turret was very useful to me.
The vengeance also had an amazing bug where if you equip it and exit out of the game and then load back in it causes your other equipped weapons bypass shields.
Wooh! I feel like it would be real easy to drop some of the options here to make room for the Defiler or Orion. Also, throwing the Ajax Ogre in feels like a cheep move. Thats a Hybrid and its in a totally different league. But fist bump for having the nidhog on here. I love that thing!
personally my favorite fun is a lowly blue that goes by The Dove, i loved it sooo much i moded it too have a a shredder prefix and title and turned it into an absolute beast of a gun
Idk if it still does, but the hellfire used to be able to break fire resistances in BL1. At least back when I played it on 360 ages ago. Damn that thing was glorious
I was in Krom's Canyon and this common bandit managed to kill me with one hell of a weapon. I went back there and this guy dropped a Combustion Hellfire. I say again this was a common type bandit. I used that Hellfire from level 26 to 50 where i finally found a higher level version. It was just so good especially in the hands of Firefly Lilith i just didn't need any replacements. A very similar scenerio happened with Volcano
Ahh BL1 ...Picked up a lvl 34 Hellfire that was a few levels above me at the time, that dropped from a normal mob. Used it through level 50 and it still melted enemies...and it ashed through zombies faster than the Florida sun through butter
OMG! I just realized as many hours as I have put into borderlands 2, this and the video before (worst legendary weapons in borderlands) is the first gameplay footage I have ever seen of borderlands. It looks awesome! I should buy this game.
I remember finding a legendary shotgun on bl1. I think it was called the Hunter's shotgun? Maybe it was unique, but I loved it because it had a near perfect accuracy, almost no spread. On top of that, it had a lot of projectiles, high damage, and was pretty much all-around perfect. Until I surpassed it level wise. Rip shotgun.
I think shotgun you used may have been The Striker. The Striker is a legendary Jakob's shotgun with amazing accuracy and bullet spread. Hunter's is a prefix that boosts the accuracy of shotguns, so it's possible you got a Hunter's Striker, the most accurate shotgun in the game. I can tell why it was such a beast, lol
I wish that the guns were completely random when dropped from chests, and the buffs that they could get were also completely random, and progressively had less and less of a cap as the game progressed, so by end game you could have, like, a sniper with %500 fire speed, flaming and electrified bullets, and no recoil. It would make the game way more fun, and a bit more wonky. It would also be fun to have grenade mods that could have multiple effects, such as longbow cluster grenades, or sticky poison grenades, something like that. It just feels like a missed opportunity, but that comes from my personal opinion that rpg games should become a bit more insane towards the end game, and should allow for more crazy weapons amd attacks to match how far you've come since the start of the game.
I really liked the defiler it melted peoples faces! and i also had a lot of fun with the orion sniper i used it with roland heavy gunner class mod and supply drop skill and i just spammed this thing like a mad man! i even just hipfired it close range to great effect :)
I find that the 2 weapons that on average work best with all characters, is the combustion hellfire and the pestilent defiler. when used by lilith, the hellfire is just monstrous. and when used by mordechai, the pestilent defiler is superb, along with the thanathos. the hammer is superb with brick,a nd the revolution or ogre with roland. I wish the shields of bl2and the presequel was combined with the weapons of bl1.
Ogre on every one is superb . Plus, revolution is worse than a blue atlas assault rifle. That's how much it sucks. On mordecai, the defiler, while excellent, is not nearly as good as an a forgiven masher
for me easily the pestilent defiler. it eats through almost anything! been playing through Bl1 GOTYE again with a buddy of mine! it's a blast from the past! great job on the vids as always vinylic. 👍
I have just started playing this game for the first time. I'm really enjoying your videos, I know they are a little old but I'm still glad you made them.
The vengeance is bugged, but its more of an exploit kind of bug, basically you have to have it equipped when you load into the game, but it also gives all of your equipped weapons the same effect. Its actually a really useful bug, its like a free passive skill.

Best 'by the numbers' and speculation (and possiby overall)FO4 channel, and hands down my personal favorite BL2 channel. Puma it funny if you don't check the vending machine in BL 1 like I was playing the claptrap revolution and I checked Marcus gun store and found a item of the day a green and in basic inventory I found a Thanatos
5:06 The Anaconda always has barrel4 which is the most powerful and third most accurate barrel type (it's also the part that makes it an Anaconda). It's the best barrel to have on a Masher. It kinda looks like a Torgue revolver/pistol barrel from BL2 and barrel5 kinda looks like Jakobs. Barrel types 4 and 5 for revolvers have ir0n sights that actually line up right.
I liked the Chimera, the Volcano, the Invader, and now I'm using the Nidhogg since I'm finally playing Brick, but Baha's Bigger Blaster is an amazing shotgun and I love it.
I have a great legendary tediore shotty called Incendiary Defender. Has great damage, 58.5 acc, 1.0 fr with a x2 fire dps and its special ability is regenerating shotty ammo. I also found it from random loot.
Revolution, bulldog and anaconda have no business being on this list. Not sure if I'm biased because I played as mordecai but with the sniper class mod with ammo regen, you can basically 1-2 shot most common enemies with a lot of the high tier snipers. That being said, the penetrator, cobra and orion are all pretty nuts. Not even including getting critical hits, those 3 guns can drop most enemies extremely quick at close and long range. Also, the draco is pretty awesome too. not quite a hellfire in terms of elemental, but 120 round mag with higher damage, and has similar destructive power to the ogre, just with a fire accessory and a a much larger mag.
I love the Vladof Revolution on Roland. Get yourself a Heavy Gunner COM or a Rifleman COM, then go absolute ham on your enemies. If ammo runs low, equip your Tediore Defender, go take a piss break, then you'll have your ammo back.
Defiler and the vitolic Crux just because of it's high corrosive chance both have and having the Crux with extreme fire rate let's me mow down any enemy. Especially the lance.
The most fun you can get with a Siren is the Chimera (revolver) because you never know which elemental effect you are going to get in your next shot. Equipped with the Tormentor (elemental focused) class mod and the increased elemental effect chance from the skill tree, it adds a nice gamble factor to the gameplay. It's risky but challenging and fun for elemental builds. The Chimera comes in many variations, you can own quiet a collection of them. But the best for me are the ones with low round count but high damage, high accuracy, fast reload and scope. You'll have a blast with this gun (pun intended).
OMG, that Ogre combat rifle with a commando and a magazine size + impact + metal storm + overload and increased fire rate... I`ll have to farm that gun right now!
My favorite is the cyclops sniper rifle because of the scope on it. With it I can have a long range sniper session but it gets better if you have the kyros power hybrid
I started playing BL1 again when I found out about Infinite Money and Infinite XP at level 3. I found myself at level 42 with a Hellfire SMG with good scope, a 1500 shield, a +18 ammo regen mod, and a virtually maxed out turret skill. When I went back to Fyreside to start doing missions, I decided to play the whole game (through the Vault) with nothing but that gear. It was easy. None of the bosses, including the vault monster, lasted more than 3 seconds.
Idk why I'm watching this, but I remember my BL playthrough I got a hellfire really early in the game and used that smg exclusively. Even when it was 20 or so levels behind, I was still wrecking enemies. Didn't get that 99 smg proficiency (a system I miss a lot in newer titles) for no reason lol
I pretty much completed the first borderlands game with a level 12 Liquid Orion, X4 shock, fires as fast as you can pull the trigger with a decent magazine size

I was going to say the same thing. I like BL2, but I think it looks more cartoony. Definitely preferred the style of the first one

I went a different route and regardless if I shoot someone or not my blood wing recharges in 3 seconds so it's almost continuous.

i mean borderlands 2 had that luck factor also. i love how certain enemies have a lowet or high drop rate. like i could spend 4 hours farming for a DPUH. it's the game where you can do the same thing over and over and over again and still love the game lmao

My favorites in no particular order:
-Atlas Pearl Havoc (a scoped one with a rof 15 is a jack of all trades and ranges)
-Maliwan Defiler (basically a sniper with a bigger ammo pool. Oh, and it's one of the best corrosive weapons and easy to find)
-S&S Munitions Orion (one of the best shock weapons)
-Maliwan Hellfire (dat DoT... need I say more?)
-Vladof Vengeance (at least in the original BL1 (not the remaster) the trespassing effect can be transferred to any gun as long as Vengeance is one of the four wielded guns at the start of the game. Don't know what's the situation now...)
-Torgue Cobra (Torgue's time to SMASH!)
-Dahl Penetrator (like an op assault rifle with superior scope. Works well with Rolands support gunner class mod)
-Jakobs Unforgiven with masher barrel (Crawmerax has a ptsd because of this)
-All Tediore ammo regen legendaries (ammo regen equality for everybody! I hope these are back in BL3...)
the Dahl Penetrator works well with Mordecai's Sniper COM as well
The Penetrator is also great with Lilith and either her Dahl allegiance (61% damage and 42% mag size) or Specter COM
ah yeah, I had forgotten that those Lance guys sometimes drop the Specter COM
Killed Craw 30+ times in one night with the masher Unforgiven hunting for pearls.... didn't get any pearls needless to say
IMO, unforgiven is the best revolver given the damage is amazing and it regenerates ammo. My fav gun tho is the Detonating Cobra sniper rifle. I got a lvl 38 version and was able to use it effectively throughout playthrough 2 on lvl 50ish enemies without issue and still occasionally use it on lvl 69 enemies with 4-6000 dmg output with mordecai's buffs. Explosive sniper rifles.... Once upon a time in Borderlands.
Well, the Firehawk is quite underrated I guess.
the Firehawk is probably the strongest fire pistol in the game. it's bigger brother, the HellFire SMG, has a burn damage of x4 that procs on every hit. BUT....
the Firehawk procs with a burn damage of x6. meaning, if you get a version of it with the right parts and prefix, any flesh-based enemy will die from its fire damage rather quickly
John Studious it’s a good gun and I like it, but given the hours I’ve spent playing pistol mordecai, it’s not a “good” gun if your are willing to hang out and farm a proper legendary S&S machine pistol. The only advantage is that is has fire, but doesn’t make it better than a Thanatos. I could easily find S&S machine pistol better than Thanatos, with claptrap robo revoltion dlc.

1.Orion - Those three projectiles and shock made me go crazy
2.Firehawk - 6x fire damage.
3. Defiler - Knox was a cake walk with one that had two bullets, the fast reload speed (the one where the screen goes down then up real quick), and the
4.Invader - BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM!BAM!
5.Crux by S&S (not the Crux by Maliwan which was to be called the plague) I used this gun RELIGIOUSLY it gave off a better feel than any gun Torgue had.

11 year old me finds a Hellfire.
I tell my older bro who was on the computer and he looks at me crazy.
Looks at it and see the stats.
He Says he can't believe I found and obtained one.
He also said he might take it from me.
He tells me what was so bonkers about it.
He then tells me to go through a good portion of the game with it.
My first play through was cheesed by my older brother telling me something.
Could have been better if I was a Siren, but I was a Soldier. Turret was very useful to me.
The vengeance also had an amazing bug where if you equip it and exit out of the game and then load back in it causes your other equipped weapons bypass shields.

I'm surprised you missed out on mentioning that the Blast Hammer also has a pellet pattern that causes it to shoot in the pattern creating a hammer.

A good quality Defiler is an ideal choice for any enemies especially in the Knoxx DLC, it will eat right through them with ease

I was in Krom's Canyon and this common bandit managed to kill me with one hell of a weapon. I went back there and this guy dropped a Combustion Hellfire. I say again this was a common type bandit. I used that Hellfire from level 26 to 50 where i finally found a higher level version. It was just so good especially in the hands of Firefly Lilith i just didn't need any replacements. A very similar scenerio happened with Volcano
Ahh BL1 ...Picked up a lvl 34 Hellfire that was a few levels above me at the time, that dropped from a normal mob. Used it through level 50 and it still melted enemies...and it ashed through zombies faster than the Florida sun through butter
OMG! I just realized as many hours as I have put into borderlands 2, this and the video before (worst legendary weapons in borderlands) is the first gameplay footage I have ever seen of borderlands.

I remember finding a legendary shotgun on bl1. I think it was called the Hunter's shotgun? Maybe it was unique, but I loved it because it had a near perfect accuracy, almost no spread. On top of that, it had a lot of projectiles, high damage, and was pretty much all-around perfect. Until I surpassed it level wise. Rip shotgun.
I think shotgun you used may have been The Striker. The Striker is a legendary Jakob's shotgun with amazing accuracy and bullet spread. Hunter's is a prefix that boosts the accuracy of shotguns, so it's possible you got a Hunter's Striker, the most accurate shotgun in the game. I can tell why it was such a beast, lol

I wish that the guns were completely random when dropped from chests, and the buffs that they could get were also completely random, and progressively had less and less of a cap as the game progressed, so by end game you could have, like, a sniper with %500 fire speed, flaming and electrified bullets, and no recoil. It would make the game way more fun, and a bit more wonky. It would also be fun to have grenade mods that could have multiple effects, such as longbow cluster grenades, or sticky poison grenades, something like that. It just feels like a missed opportunity, but that comes from my personal opinion that rpg games should become a bit more insane towards the end game, and should allow for more crazy weapons amd attacks to match how far you've come since the start of the game.

I really liked the defiler it melted peoples faces! and i also had a lot of fun with the orion sniper i used it with roland heavy gunner class mod and supply drop skill and i just spammed this thing like a mad man! i even just hipfired it close range to great effect :)
I find that the 2 weapons that on average work best with all characters, is the combustion hellfire and the pestilent defiler. when used by lilith, the hellfire is just monstrous. and when used by mordechai, the pestilent defiler is superb, along with the thanathos. the hammer is superb with brick,a nd the revolution or ogre with roland.
I wish the shields of bl2and the presequel was combined with the weapons of bl1.
Ogre on every one is superb . Plus, revolution is worse than a blue atlas assault rifle. That's how much it sucks. On mordecai, the defiler, while excellent, is not nearly as good as an a forgiven masher

I have just started playing this game for the first time. I'm really enjoying your videos, I know they are a little old but I'm still glad you made them.
The vengeance is bugged, but its more of an exploit kind of bug, basically you have to have it equipped when you load into the game, but it also gives all of your equipped weapons the same effect. Its actually a really useful bug, its like a free passive skill.

I am currently using the Hammer in Playthrough 2 and I have to say that it's a lot of fun to use with the Commando Class MOD.

Definitely agree with the Ajax Ogre. Hands down the best machine gun, if not the best weapon, out there for a Legendary.
Im replaying BL1 right now, its crazy how far weve come and how good looking BL3 is and how cool the guns are. BL1 guns dont look cool
5:06 The Anaconda always has barrel4 which is the most powerful and third most accurate barrel type (it's also the part that makes it an Anaconda). It's the best barrel to have on a Masher. It kinda looks like a Torgue revolver/pistol barrel from BL2 and barrel5 kinda looks like Jakobs. Barrel types 4 and 5 for revolvers have ir0n sights that actually line up right.
I liked the Chimera, the Volcano, the Invader, and now I'm using the Nidhogg since I'm finally playing Brick, but Baha's Bigger Blaster is an amazing shotgun and I love it.

No,5:27 damage dealt by his weapon is more than enough to destroy enemy shields,so it wasn't penetration,he just killed the enemy with sheer damage.
This game had more powerful and cooler revolvers than the second one!
I have a great legendary tediore shotty called Incendiary Defender. Has great damage, 58.5 acc, 1.0 fr with a x2 fire dps and its special ability is regenerating shotty ammo. I also found it from random loot.
Revolution, bulldog and anaconda have no business being on this list. Not sure if I'm biased because I played as mordecai but with the sniper class mod with ammo regen, you can basically 1-2 shot most common enemies with a lot of the high tier snipers. That being said, the penetrator, cobra and orion are all pretty nuts. Not even including getting critical hits, those 3 guns can drop most enemies extremely quick at close and long range. Also, the draco is pretty awesome too. not quite a hellfire in terms of elemental, but 120 round mag with higher damage, and has similar destructive power to the ogre, just with a fire accessory and a a much larger mag.
I remember when a level 35 Ogre carried me to level 54. Good times.

I love the Vladof Revolution on Roland. Get yourself a Heavy Gunner COM or a Rifleman COM, then go absolute ham on your enemies. If ammo runs low, equip your Tediore Defender, go take a piss break, then you'll have your ammo back.

Used to run a pearl ogre, a pestilent defiler, a liquid orion and a hellfire to take on crawmerax, used to wreck everything in the fight
Defiler and the vitolic Crux just because of it's high corrosive chance both have and having the Crux with extreme fire rate let's me mow down any enemy. Especially the lance.
The most fun you can get with a Siren is the Chimera (revolver) because you never know which elemental effect you are going to get in your next shot. Equipped with the Tormentor (elemental focused) class mod and the increased elemental effect chance from the skill tree, it adds a nice gamble factor to the gameplay. It's risky but challenging and fun for elemental builds.
The Chimera comes in many variations, you can own quiet a collection of them. But the best for me are the ones with low round count but high damage, high accuracy, fast reload and scope.
You'll have a blast with this gun (pun intended).
I played Borderlands 2 first, so seeing a Dahl revolver and especially a VLADOF SHOTGUN make me go 😦
Also Dahl shottys and torgue snipers just imagine a shotgun with burst

My favorite is the cyclops sniper rifle because of the scope on it. With it I can have a long range sniper session but it gets better if you have the kyros power hybrid

Just ordered Borderlands Triple Pack the other day for Xbox 360, can't wait to play Borderlands 1 to the Pre Sequel
I started playing BL1 again when I found out about Infinite Money and Infinite XP at level 3. I found myself at level 42 with a Hellfire SMG with good scope, a 1500 shield, a +18 ammo regen mod, and a virtually maxed out turret skill.
When I went back to Fyreside to start doing missions, I decided to play the whole game (through the Vault) with nothing but that gear. It was easy. None of the bosses, including the vault monster, lasted more than 3 seconds.
I like how steam gave the remastered four free if you had it already

Idk why I'm watching this, but I remember my BL playthrough I got a hellfire really early in the game and used that smg exclusively. Even when it was 20 or so levels behind, I was still wrecking enemies. Didn't get that 99 smg proficiency (a system I miss a lot in newer titles) for no reason lol

I pretty much completed the first borderlands game with a level 12 Liquid Orion, X4 shock, fires as fast as you can pull the trigger with a decent magazine size
