Hey guys! Back with another Borderlands 2 countdown and today, I have a Redux of a video that I made almost 3 years ago. In today's video, I will be going over 10 of what I think are among the Worst Legendary Guns and Weapons in Borderlands 2.

The first legendary I ever got was the Madhouse, I remember being so confused as to why it wasn't killing enemies.
My first legendary was the bonus package. And it killed me a few times before i realised that it does tons or unmentioned explosions lol

Except the Torrent is WAY better. It has much higher firerate.
i mean if you compare the damage of the best version of weapons they are way weaker in the pre sequel.

I remember the Madhouse was the first legendary I ever got, and I was so hyped to finally get one of these guns. Then I went into a bandit camp, fired at a random psycho, missed every shot, got downed, continued to fire at the one psycho, didn't land a single hit, died, and sold the weapon.
My first 3 legendaries were Emperor from the assassins, madhous as a world drop in the bloodshot stronghold and striker from the wildlife explitation preserve loot midgets. Safe to say I didn't have a good first impression on the legendaries 😂
The madhouse is ass lol sucks even on the 1st playthrough

I actually had to back the video up to confirm what I heard, I lost it at this part.
The shreddifier helped me through the fight for sanctuary DLC so holds a special place in my heart
Is it possible to obtain it without DLC?

I don't understand why the Sledge's knockback is such a big deal. The Sledge's special effect is the increased burst size which is sort of replicated in the BL2 version. The knockback was a feature available to ALL Jakobs weaponry with a mat3 or XX material.
The gun isnt that good, its just the knockback is tuned up like 8 notches. Adding the x11 multi you can shoot enemies across the map. Mostly just for fun tho
The sledge was so hard to use in the first game it had slow reload and fired all of the shots in the mag at once I hated it
Periachi I did too, till I noticed that killing enemies with hipfire was shockingly consistent...for literally 15 levels

Periachi fair enough I just attached to it the instant I started getting adjusted to it but I was playing Brick and it works amazing for the swole merc. In BL1 if your guns are good enough to last you 10 levels, then it’s good shit. Like that gearbox legendary revolver
Re-started my borderlands 2 playthrough and got hyped when i got my first 2 legendaries...... and here I am realising they are number 10 and 9 in the list
it's OK, emperor is pretty great with Maya especially early game, if you get it you might as well pick it up, especially with a matching grip and element you're after!
Lascaux is Better and it’s fairly easy to get

Sledges shotgun in bl1 was a beast

@@devastatheseeker9967 This video in general is just an insane amount of wrong information. The Sledges Shotgun in the hands of a player who can actually aim for critical hits is a complete beast. It's hands down my favorite shotty in the game. It's a beast on almost all characters, especially on Zero and Krieg. Want proof?

I love how in the first game if a enemy is to close you can just YEEET them away with sledges gun XD
Haaaayy... I like the Sledge. It’s actually great when used for slagging, 1 burst is almost always enough to slag even at medium ranges.
I think the Shreddifier could be made a lot better with only two things:
1: A slight increase in base damage
2: A feature that helps with ammo, either giving the gun a chance to not consume ammo(ideally, the lower your mag, the higher the chance) or regenerating Assault Rifle ammo

Pyrophobia with slower or normal speed projectiles is reaaaaally good. Idk why your pyrophobia explosion triggers so slowly but for me it's a room cleaner

I gotta say, I’ve been using a striker variant from slappy that is actually quite good. It’s the “hunter striker” with it having 7 shots instead of 2, and it maintains its damage and accuracy too. Granted I agree with the recoil aspect portion of your review. but all it does is make me take a second to initially aim and then I’m set with blowing the faces off every psycho in the borderlands
My first legendary on PC was the rolling thunder. Quite a macrosmatic experience that was.

Mine was the Hellfire. At that time I didn't realize it was a legendary, I was 11 years old and confused as hell.
A case for the Hammer Buster/Thumpson: the Bekah is impossible to get, and the gatlin gun is only good at short range. If you need range but don’t like snipers, a HB with foregrip and a Mouthwash relic is a great option, as is a pairing to a Jakobs allegiance relic, reducing recoil and taking mag size into the 90s. You can 2-3 shot a dozen distant mobs in one clip, very rewarding, especially if you enjoy Jakobs.
The Striker and Sledge’s shotgun are both amazing weapons, I use them a,lot the time

The striker is one of my favourite weapens. Slegdes is very good for Zero. Both Are super legendarys, but Not the easyest ones to handle

Duel-wielding Shredifiers was the only way I was able to get Salvador to run out of ammunition when gunzerking. Also, I find it interesting that the bandits did an homage to Sledge's Shotgun by Jakobs in their own style, but in Borderlands 3, Jakobs makes a new model of Sledge's Shotgun, but bases it on the bandit design from Borderlands 2.
So Tiny Tina's Wonderlands just came out a few weeks ago, can't wait for your lists on that game!! Your definitely my go to for borderlands

Yeah, it's not a bad weapon just maybe needs a slight damage boost. It's really ammo efficient and cool looking
It should be like the Torrent from the Pre-Sequel. That's a great Dahl SMG
Nguyen Quyet Thang I completely agree. The Torrent is probably my favorite weapon in TPS other than the Flayer
British_Boy I remember using one for a very long time in the early OP levels cuz it's great at critting, and has a lighting fast reload. With a crit com it def did work on just about everything
It's definitely a functional weapon. No frills but very ammo efficient. And, you can use fire or corrosive versions to good effect against Bandits and Loaders thanks to their easy crit spots. It's basically what all Dahl weapons wished they could be; non-red text Dahl weapons though have pitiful damage.
It is sad what Sledge's Shotgun became. As it looked much cooler and that knock back from BL1, although it could be cool to see if we get any shotguns with knock back in BL3 now.

Eeh I cant see s's munitions returning its pretty much the pre bandit/scav manufacturer
I miss the old S&S Munitions. Help give me the best Gunslinger build as I sometimes swapped S&S and Vladof for handguns.
CWDTrixie it would also help if the burst delay were reduced by at least 50% it would be a lot better as well

OK, I was just pointing out how it was unlikely that they revive the ss munitions as they had the same significant boost in ammo capacity as Bandit and scav. I know that the ss munitions guns may have been better in the first borderland then Bandit and scav in the later borderlands games. I can only see ss munitions returning the same as dahl attacking Helion.
P. S. I've played every borderland and every dlc I partly know what im talking about and no I don't fancy buying a dead game like battleborn ( I don't mean to be harsh about battleborn but thats how I see it)
The bl2 one is overall better since it can kill in one shot.

Hammer buster was my first legendary I used it 13 to 29 it's good with specific scopes it's good no scope
I used the Hammer buster all the way through UVHM once the Bane sidequest became available on my non-elemental Axton.
I like the Pyrophobia. I'm probably the only one who likes it. Macrosmatic

I like it on certain maps. It's useful in the final quest in the Tea Party questline because all of the mob enemies come in through the narrow entrance so you can fire above their heads and kill a bunch of them with the novas.
I like it too, its just a underrated launcher

I get an Emporor every playthrough. Consistently. I don't know why.
Using Tourge parts on the Pryophobia will slow down the rocket and allow the special effect to work much better, it's still not the best launcher ever, but parts matter
Edit - again parts matter, you're using Hyperion Grip on the striker, which sends the mag to 2 rather than 4 with Jakobs grip. You're also losing the other matching grip bonuses, and the damage from the Jakobs part. You keep complaining about this thing despite the only issue is you using bad parts.
Edit - The Sledges Shotgun is a plenty viable weapon, as shown in your own video. Macrosmatic.
I always prefer Tourge parts on any of my launchers.

Admittedly I kinda like this more. Maybe it's just me, but whenever Puma tries to use vulgarity and vulgarity alone as a means for comedy, rather than make a point (couldn't find a better way to word it, but I mean in the sense of saying "this fucking sucks" has more punch than just "this sucks") simply came off as cringey. Don't get me wrong, I see what Puma is going for when do does it, I just think that a format like this, where he gets straight to the point without any of the bullshittery is a bit more practical.
Vulgar puma was just stupid and unneeded, this is better

The Striker is actually amazing with an Anarchy Gaige, also I got a Slag Madhouse on my first playthrough by chance and it definitely works better as a "slag everything in the area" gun.
I mean any jakobs shotun with at least 2 shots is good on gaige, as you'll likely use it to specifically build anarchy
I also found the shredifier worked very well on Uranus. I think I also had a slag version of that. Uranus is such a large target that many of the crappy weapons work well on him. Pretty limited though. My first experiences with many legendaries was from Uranus drops and then I would test it out on my next run.
I found the madhouse useful in one situation. I use a slag madhouse on Uranus. The target is big enough for the projectiles to hit and take down healthfairly quickly. Then use some corosive.
I used Rolling Thunder for a Long Time and it was Devastating even without Slag! (TVHM)

I feel the problem with some legendaries is that while their good on some characters, their bad on others, the mad house is falls into this case, while most characters can't really benefit from it, gaige can get a decent amount of use out of it
when i got the emperor in my first character, i thought it was pretty decent. also the shredifier too
I love the Emperor but I love all of the legendaries because they’re just all fun to use to me at least

Its just out classed by so many other guns. Also i have a curse with the freaking gun. I get it to drop all the time in chests and people who shouldnt drop it.

I got the shrederfire from something on lvl 30 and I managed to use it on a salvador character effectively until lvl 42, when I got the heartbreaker. If you do a hoarder build with keep firing and extra points in 5 shots or 6 using class mods, or just not, it works really well and achieves super high dps.

From my experience, I would agree with all of these entries except the shredifier. Overall, I’ve had a pretty decent run with the gun with maya at the peak.
Agreed. My level 74 fire Shreddifier was my Maya's main DPS weapon until OP3
Again you mention the Striker as a bad option. There are some better shotties in the game, like the Conference Call, but the Striker is actually pretty awesome. It's basically an improved Coach Gun with a small mag. I'm always happy to see one drop, esp. in playthrough 1. You shouldn't really use it as a sniper, as such. It's a great medium range weapon. Powerful, and accurate enough to get the job done.
The Striker actually works wonders for an elemental-build Siren who's found herself in the Caustic Caverns.

Really the Shredifier and Sledges shotgun. I just recently been using the Corrosive Shredifier with Zer0 alongside the Bee shield, I've been getting really good kills with the Shredifier. Borderland 2 Sledges shotgun is so underrated, I've used it with Krieg and it aint that bad. I do miss the Original Sledge Shotgun though, which i hope they bring back in Borderlands 3.
Have you played a shotgun assassin zero? The Sledges shotgun is by far the best for Zer0, with the striker coming second or even first depending on how you like your shotguns. The conference call doesnt even come close to these two guns on zero. Good video, but play with guns more before saying they suck.
You are mostly better off with a Purple Jakobs Quad though. And it´s pretty meh if a legendary gun can´t even keep up to its non-unique counterpart.
Yes, I would agree for this on the striker. But In my opinion the fact that the Sledge's can come in any element gives it an advantage over a Quad.
A gun that only good on one character does not make the gun good, It just good on that character. the conference call is good for this reason as all characters can make good use of it. Still I like the sledge's shotgun because of it being it BL1 and being fun to use, but I would not call it a good gun just a fun one.

The emperor smg was meh but it doesn't deserve to be on the list. I think that the deliverance deserves to ne on 10.
Honestly, I love sledge's shotgun. Can spawn with an element and scope, burst fire deals lots of damage in a short time, and the projectile count it pretty good.
Oh, and large magazine, can't forget that.
I actually got the Nasty Surprise before getting the flames of the Firehawk on my latest playthrough when I killed a hulking mass of destruction. The grenade at earlier levels is exceptionally deadly and made finks slaughterhouse a breeze for me.

I only see a couple of guns in this list that get outperformed by other guns. Puma said the Infinity outperforms the Shredifier, which is just wrong.

Playing the BL1 Sledges Shotgun with Lilith’s Phoenix skill was/is so fun.
Pumping out like seven shots from a two shot magazine basically annihilated entire camps by pulling the trigger once.

Honestly i love the striker, just because using it on gaige, with its 2 ammo mag, means that i can shoot once with "Smaller, Lighter, Faster", and reload quickly. Thus i will stack anarchy quickly, all while still dealing some kind of damage. Win-win~

Sounds decent as a Zero character if you’re focusing on just using the first shot and reload for the bonus damage on the first shot.

Striker is very viable with zero. Use the right parts and have a legendary killer class mod.

I think making the Hammer busterlike the gatling gun would be kinda pointless. I mean, the Buster is supposed to be a very accurate sniper-ish gun with really good headshot damage(basically the lady fist of assault rifles) while the Gatling fires three shots at the same time and is not really accurate. I think the gun just should have overall higher base damage and a better critical modifier. to keep up with the ridicolous UVHM scaling.
Hammer Buster is powerful even in UVHM OP8. Use it with Zer0.

Using it on Axton, on OP8 with perfect parts AND all the possible damage boosting to it(no amp damage), the weapon still sucks when compared to the Bekah
I don't know what here forgot Sledge's Shotgun. This is good enough gun. I remember how got it at my first walkthrough - that gun was enough effective straight to the end of story campaign! Yes, this gun have more powerful brothers at OP 8, but hey - this shotgun not so bad.

That weapon isn't that good in my opinion. Honestly, I'd rather go with the firestarter pistol.
I really like the Striker, some variants has more mag size than the striker that you have, getting a Doc's Striker plus 4-5 mag size is ridiculous

They both have only one thing going for them: Puma has his Top 10's of guns he either can't use properly, bases his opinions on nothing in particular and everybody already knows what the best things are in Borderlands 2 and otherwise is anyway. and Joltz has his two fucking lines he says and that's it. "Hey, matching grip!" "Level Up, dude!"

Did no one realise that Puma didn't include a legendary pistol I.E the Logan's Gun.Well to be fair, the Logan's Gun can be used to regenerate rocket launcher ammo, but as an actual weapon, I find it kinda funny that you need to shoot the ground at enemies' feet to deal damage.
The striker can be very useful on kreig with the right build and the bloodlust skill and its magizine size increase.
The striker with a matching grip has a mag of like 4, but puma chose a shitty grip for who knows why

got two almost EXACTLY same empreror twice last week during the assassins quest, only difference between them was one having a different visor for the rest, everything the same including prefix, back to back from the first two assassins in the quest
For its level on Normal, I actually really like the Hammer Buster as it’s amazing against any enemy. Doubt it’ll stand up in True or Ultimate

The striker and sledge shotgun shotgun are good in this game i got the docs striker with 130% critical damage in in my first playthrough and it was awesome mine even had 2 mag size and it's still good
I used to have this pistol boy that fired like a revolver ,fired torgue projectiles at normal speeds,and had multiple barrels (and a pink paint)best gun I ever had,used it for about half the main quest.
They should make a badass difficulty where ever single enemy is a badass even bosses 😈😈

Honestly, the Sandhawk is so unbelievably OP that it's just unfair to compare the Emperor to it. It's just the result of poor balancing, and we all know the answer to every pb in BL2 is "BeeHawk duh". If you take it out of the picture, the Emperor looks like a pretty solid SMG imo.
It is just super mediocre and boring. It is not a bad gun, it is pretty solid, but they are so many better options out there that are better and more fun to use than the Emperor.
