The red one was awful on my 42 year old oily skin. It was said to smooth pores. It actually highlighted them on me. I had to wash it off and start over. My rosacea loved that. 😕

I use Clarins SOS#4 primer to color correct my redness, but this foundation does not cover the redness at all. I actually like to use it after I've used a Dermablend foundation as an actual powder. I can have to set with setting spray and get about 3 hours before all my redness pops through and at that point if I'm due to be on air, I have reapply my make-up. This was recommended to me the make-up artist at the studio and even she agrees it's not for me. I have used Bare Minerals for 15 years or better. I was hoping to find a drugstore one that was good. I’m glad you did this and I will save my money on an iffy product. I don’t think anything would beat what I currently use so this takes away the temptation to to try it and waste money. Thanks!
No one ever mentions the HUGE difference between the two. That blurring effect from the Infallible comes from all the talc and starches in that product. Some people are really sensitive to talc (besides the fact it literally sucks all of the moisture from mature skin)
@@Mxtraveler Talc is showing up in more and more liquid foundations, too (even those for dry/mature skin). It’s cheap and gives the higher coverage too many are looking for.
@@boomer527 In which? In Albania? 🙄 The most European countries are the members of EU, and they produce en sell cosmetic products according to EU rules and regulations. Talc containing products are available both in The Netherlands and in Germany where I shop for care and beauty products.
Thanks so much for this honest review. Upon first application you could definitely see the infallible blurred out the pores. And I was surprised that the Age perfect didn’t blur being that it gears to “mature skin”. I’m 53 so I appreciate any videos that touch upon mature skin. By the end….🤔🤨 so again thanks for the honest review as always. I have used and did a video on the Fenty powder foundation and I was SHOCKED. It felt creamy & dewy like a liquid foundation all day long. As always…YOU’RE THE BEST
Thanks for the video! I have both and I like the infallible better for the hot weather. I find the age perfect doesn’t hold up well on the really hot days with my oily skin and is better in the winter for me.
Hi Lisa.. I noticed that when you tried the Age Perfect powder, it ended up looking better without it. Your skin looks amazing without the foundation honestly. At least, with the Age Perfect, it didn't do anything really. Infallible is amazing, as long as you use the right primer and tools, technique.❤
Being in Florida I went with the Infallible because it claims to be sweatproof & waterproof. I’m 50, it is beautiful on my skin, I use the Real Techniques powder sponge.
Love that you compared both of these products, as I was definitely a little torn on which one would be right for my dry skin. Thank you so much for giving us the information we need in order to choose! 👍💄🌹
Hi Lisa, you are so pretty without makeup, however I’m grateful for all your hard work! I already use infallible powder and I like it, so I’m glad you did a comparison to the age perfect since I was curious how they compare. Thank you, beautiful 😍
@@carolthomas8528 no no it'st not unkind!! She really wants to know probably want to make her own teeth whiter. Why not share these secrets with each other dozens of people I know have veneers is not insulting to say that!! There aren't too many people on UA-cam anymore who are in the beauty business who are not using veneers or have all their teeth capped or crowned!!
Thank you so much for comparing these two products. I've wondered for a little while which one might work better for my skin. I'm 55 with combination skin
In this summer time, what I am using are MAC Studio Fix Plus and It Cosmetics Cellebration Powder Fndtns; no other one beats any of those on my combo skin.👍
First of all, you have GORGEOUS SKIN, secondly, the darker color you were worried about, to my eyes, is beautiful on your skin! They both are but I agree, the one on the left (our left) does blur your skin a bit more but both leave your already gorgeous skin, even MORE than it naturally is!
LOVE the eye look! Please do a tutorial. I’m 48 and prefer the Infallible better plus it lasted longer. My skin is normal to dry and never looks cakey.
Happy Sunday, Beautiful Lisa! What I appreciate most is the close ups. It really helps to see how the make up is applying and wearing. Most helpful! Thank you!
Do you ever have days when your skin care/makeup just doesn’t sit right? Sunday’s are my busy days because my husband is a pastor. This morning it took 3 goes to get my makeup look acceptable. By the third time, starting with cherry red cheeks. I started with Bobby Brown serum foundation, then the Clinique foundation and concealer mix, and wound up with the Missha BB cream. I also live in Austin. I have just started using Bobbi Brown skin care. Help!!
But it's way too hot there I used to live in Austin I almost literally died some summers just going outside for short times. It has its plus and minuses in Austin and I'm glad to be away lol 😮
I use the Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation in Ivory 10 and I apply it with a fluffy brush. It's never oily (my T-zone is oily, but my cheeks are normal), long wearing, I never have to touch it up during the day & my skin never looks dry! I'm 55 and like with any power, I do a light drag under my eyes. It doesn't pronounce my fine lines!
This was very interesting to see how each wore and how shiny or not they became. This is important as I live a little south of you so it is a little hotter. I don’t think I would chose either one of these for a long day. Thanks for testing these! Thanks 😊
I did try the Infallible Powder Foundation a couple of times and just did not like it at all. It went on nicely but I don't feel that I got the coverage I was looking for. After trying numerous foundations based on a lot of UA-camr reviews, I will stick with my tried and true....Estee Lauder Double Wear. For me it is perfection.
@@Donna-vh5ym I'm 49 and it does a great job of smoothing my wrinkles and it doesn't leave a powdery finish. It has Hyaluronic Acid, which is great for dry skin.
I am in Cedar Park, TX and the weather is perfect in March. Not too hot so my makeup doesn't melt off of my skin. I don't want a makeup that is too dry and some powder foundations are drying. I like Tarte Amazon Clay and I'm looking for a dupe. I haven't tried the Loreal powder foundations. I like the way the Infallible looks on your skin. It makes your skin look soft. The other one is nice because it has a glow but, I need a foundation that blurs pores, and imperfections including redness.
I am 52 years old with dry skin and I have just now started using Tinted Moisturizers/Skin Tints. I use the Age Perfect foundation to set if I feel like I need a smidge more coverage. I apply it with a brush similar to the BK Beauty 105 (which happens to be on my wishlist!). The Age Perfect powder foundation doesn’t feel heavy or cakey and it lasts a good while without me having to touch up. Thank you for your thoughts on these two powder foundations! I live in Alabama and I definitely understand the heat and humidity! 😥🥵😎 💖❤️💖
I haven't tried either of these because I have pretty dry skin and powders are never on my radar. I was so shocked to see the "glow" in the final (after 10 hours wear) checkin. I just didn't expect that at all! If I ever managed to get a glow I would know I'm feverish and unwell .... I never, ever get the "glow" and I'd quite like to 🥴. For those who do get the glow, it must be reassuring to know a quick touch up is all that's required and everything looks great again. You know Lisa, your skin is flawless and very beautiful! 💛❣💛❣💛 PS : A slight slip up at 12.06, you called the matte powder was by Revlon, oops!
That’s crazy, the Infallible 24 holds up really well on me, I can get shiny too. I was hoping the age one would be a bit better and was also hoping they’d have a better shade match for me. That’s the only problem with the Infallible, shade range sucks. I have a pink undertone and while I’m more fair in the winter I’m not as light as their lighter shades and not as dark as the medium shade. Also they are all a bit yellow/orange.
Thanks for the video. I never understand how the companies market a powder foundation for mature skin and then add talc!!🤔. Talc is not our friend! And I don’t have wrinkles but it magnifies other texture and pores. 🥺. Milani makes a very nice cream to powder compact. Great for on the go! And no talc!😁. Thanks Lisa!
Thank you for the review Lisa. I just started using the Wander powder foundation and at first I wasn't sure how it would look on my skin but I've been pretty happy with it. I just turned 55 so I'm never sure what powder foundation will look like lol. Thank you, always appreciate you taking the time to review products.

I’m a little late to try these products. I have used successfully powder foundations for years from Mac, Laura Geller, IT cosmetics, etc. so I thought I would try these two L’Oreal products and they were a huge fail. They settled into pores and emphasized every pore. Looks really bad on my skin, both of them, but red compact was even worse than white . Never had anything like this happen with other powder foundations so not sure why this is happening
Excellent review! You should let your viewers know that the Age Perfect powder contains Bismuth Oxychloride -- an ingredient that can cause many sensitive skins to itch! I tried this product, and by midday had to wash my face because I could not stand that itch!!
Ughhhhhh I would give ANYTHING for my skin to be dewy like that, at the end of the day!!!! My skin HURTS from dryness by evening time. Very good video! It's HOT hot hot here in Austin!!
I had such a hard time finding that foundation powder that went viral every place around me for the longest time just had three colors. Then when I finally did find one closer to my shade I was very disappointed it did not work at all on my dry skin.
I just found your videos, always happy to see foundation info. I'm an esthetician so my skin's appearance is do important. I'm 64, large pores on my nose which never seem to blur, very dry skin with quite a bit of wrinkles following a 200 lb weight loss. No amount of foundation will cover and I'm okay with it because it was for a good reason. However, I would love to tone down the pores on my nose (no wrinkling there 😉). I've been using Bare Minerals because I love the coverage. Always exploring and very grateful for you and others who make these videos. Thank you!
I got the fresh wear and it was about $18 at my target I thought a bit pricey for drug sure powder I never tried the one for mature skin, also no one ever talks about the Lancôme duo finish powder foundation that one is been around for a long time it is about $45 but is great powder probably the best out of all of them, but I never hear anyone talking about it , I also love the revlon photo ready blurring powder is way way cheaper at $11 at cvs and no one ever talks about that one maybe because they have been out a long time 🤷♀️ the revlon and the Lancôme to me are better than the new freshwater , I exit your videos as always ♥️

I HAVE BOTH POWDERS BUT I LIKE MILANI CREME TO POWDER THE BEST
I have used Bare Minerals for 15 years or better. I was hoping to find a drugstore one that was good. I’m glad you did this and I will save my money on an iffy product. I don’t think anything would beat what I currently use so this takes away the temptation to to try it and waste money. Thanks!
Try Physicians Formula mineral wear powder. I mix two shades and it gives a flawless finish. I use Bare Minerals too.
No one ever mentions the HUGE difference between the two. That blurring effect from the Infallible comes from all the talc and starches in that product. Some people are really sensitive to talc (besides the fact it literally sucks all of the moisture from mature skin)
Good to know. I always thought those long wear ones felt so cakey and dry. Thanks for the comment.
Besides the sensitivity, talc in beauty products is banned in most European countries because of the potential cancer causing
Thank you! I cant wear anything with talc. It is highly irritating to my skin
Thanks so much for this honest review. Upon first application you could definitely see the infallible blurred out the pores. And I was surprised that the Age perfect didn’t blur being that it gears to
“mature skin”.
I am a huge fan of the infallible version, I think my skin looks so nice with it.
Thanks for the video! I have both and I like the infallible better for the hot weather. I find the age perfect doesn’t hold up well on the really hot days with my oily skin and is better in the winter for me.
Thanks for sharing!
The more reviews I see I’m glad I didn’t pick either of these up! But you look gorgeous no matter what you wear! Your skin alway looks so healthy!
Could you also test the Milani and Essence powder foundations?
I love that you did this review. So many don’t and forget about these type of foundations. Thank you Lisa another reason why I follow !
Thank-You for the comparison! Your teeth are so perfect, do you have any tips for that?
Lisa, how the heck do you keep your teeth looking so white? do you have a recipe you use or toothpaste? please share.
Most likely all fake those are not natural teeth. Spend about 1thousand per tooth and you too can achieve this look. Veneers
@@sabine3769 Rather unkind !
Your skin is gorgeous without makeup!!
In this summer time, what I am using are MAC Studio Fix Plus and It Cosmetics Cellebration Powder Fndtns; no other one beats any of those on my combo skin.👍
The powder on the left side of your face really aged your skin, amplified your pores, and seemed to oxidize more. Thank you for showing this! 🙂
Of course! I am glad it was helpful!
Thank you!
Thanks for the wear test and your thoughts on these two foundations.
Help!!
I think Wayne Goss has a video about layering too many things and why it might not sit right.
Yes! This happens to me! So frustrating... I think it may be Rosacea.
Ikr? I find when I do my makeup at a friend's house for some reason even with the same products its just not "right." Its bizarre.
Your skin is so perfect. ... you dont even need makeup!
On another note... the area where your office is is beautiful! I’m so happy for you and your success!
Thanks 😊
Glad it was helpful! Thanks Sue!
I’m loving your eyeshadow- what palette / colors did you use today?
I love her eyeshadow 😍I hope she updates us
I’m 50 and bought the infallible 24 he powder, and it isn’t as good as the hype that’s for sure.
I'm 60, I hated it.
I'm 35 and didn't like it. Made my skin look really dry and powdery if that makes sense.
I will be 57 in August and I still can’t find a good foundation for my skin . 🥲🥲🥲
@@wildwildwest1662 I can relate :/
@@heyjenknee please share with me when ever you find the right one thanks.
The Cover Girl Ageless Instant Wrinkle Blurring Pressed Powder is pretty incredible on on my mature skin!
Laura Zuniga// is it good for dry mature skin? Like 58 year old skin??
@@Donna-vh5ym I'm 49 and it does a great job of smoothing my wrinkles and it doesn't leave a powdery finish. It has Hyaluronic Acid, which is great for dry skin.
@@laurazuniga4758 // Ohhh...thank you so much. I'm headed to the store.!!
@@Donna-vh5ym You're welcome
Please share your lip products, they are GORGEOUS!! Many thanks!
What shade are you wearing in each foundation?
I am in Cedar Park, TX and the weather is perfect in March. Not too hot so my makeup doesn't melt off of my skin. I don't want a makeup that is too dry and some powder foundations are drying. I like Tarte Amazon Clay and I'm looking for a dupe. I haven't tried the Loreal powder foundations. I like the way the Infallible looks on your skin. It makes your skin look soft. The other one is nice because it has a glow but, I need a foundation that blurs pores, and imperfections including redness.
Just clicked on this video! So excited! I’ve been wondering how these compare and which one I’d like better.
Oh good! Thanks so much for sharing Cindy!
Wow! Your skin is beautiful without makeup❤️🔥
PS : A slight slip up at 12.06, you called the matte powder was by Revlon, oops!
Your skin looks amazing without makeup on!!!
Lisa what eye shadow palette are you wearing today? Looks beautiful
Hello Lisa! My favorite powder foundation is the Makeup Forever one . Not a drugstore one but beautiful finish on mature skin. Thank you ! 🌻
I just bought both of these, lol I really like them both, I use them for different needs.
I’m glad you tried these for us! Thank you! I’ve been wanting to try the Infallible powder foundation but kept putting it off bc I just wasn’t sure how it would work for me. Now I’m glad I have your information. Probably not going to work for me. Thanks again... you’re the greatest! ⚡️💖⚡️
I think for drugstore foundations, primer is a must for pores! Great video 👌🏽
What are you wearing on your lips?? Gorgeous! Is this something different?
I definitely preferred the Ageless foundation aide. It had a beautiful radiance on your skin and the color was warm not red
I’ve been using the Infallible one & really like it. I live in a hot climate too. I use the ELF powder foundation brush, it works good with it. 💕
Thanks for sharing!!
@@lisajmakeup you are welcome! I love sharing :)
Love the way you broke down your evaluation!!
Always love your eye shadow looks. What palette did you use? And what lipstick?
Would you please let me know what color lipstick you had on in this video? It has good color especially for summer! Thanks so much!
Too hotttttt is correct!!!😢
I had such a hard time finding that foundation powder that went viral every place around me for the longest time just had three colors. Then when I finally did find one closer to my shade I was very disappointed it did not work at all on my dry skin.
Enjoy your videos! The Infallible has corn starch which is drying...moisture wicking.
Thank you!
Consider using a mattifier on your nose, before applying foundation.
You may want to get a series if microneedling procedures to help reduce pore size
Appreciate this. Had thought about purchasing the Infallible 24 Hour but think I’ll still to my liquid!
Thanks for doing a video on these powder foundations. Could you please do a tutorial on your eye makeup in this video. Thanks!
Lisa, thank you for the honest test results in this video. I like the eye shadow look in this video- beautiful blend of colors.
I think maybe you have done one before but what is your favorite foundation for hot humid climate?
My question is the same. I live in humid Florida 🥴
@@theemmadog i travel to Louisiana and Texas a lot & my makeup melts off my face the heat & humidity is insane! I used to live in Florida too
Hi there I appreciate your video about L'Oreal infallible foundation. I love it I must say I surprised how matte it was I've never worn a mater fountain but I love it anyway
Love infallible. My pores are greatly reduced.
I usually use Laura Geller Balance and Brighten powder foundation and find that putting on a fine layer of translucent powder first makes a big difference on the powder foundation finish 😊Xx 🇬🇧
Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try that.
I have infallible powder and it really sinks into my smile lines. Do you feel like the age perfect sunk into any fine lines or wrinkles any differently than the infallible? This was a great video idea thank you for posting! Sending oodles of love
Got the l'oreal fresh wear powder foundation and it looked powdery and not very natural. And then bought the clinique almost powder makeup and it's beautiful!!
Thanks Lisa for sharing your views on these two products.
You are so welcome!
Whenever I use powder foundations my oils go into overdrive 😒 Liquid foundations that are satin or natural finish are the way to go for me 🥴 great comparison review 👍🏽
I think using a sweeping motion rather than buffing gives better coverage
I have dry skin and wear the loreal for hiking. It works pretty well for me, but I switch to liquid foundation when I'm going to be indoors.
I am watching this video again because ELF just introduced a powder foundation. I have the Loreal Infallible Powder foundation but it seems to make my pores so visible. I will try it with a different brush.
I've been asking myself the same question. This is Absolutely a video I was waiting for! Thank you!!
The brush looks amazing. Have you tried the Laura Geller Balance and Brighten powder foundation.
I'm so interested in this....do they last without settling? To me, that's the acid test.
