How to change front lights on BMW E90

- In this video I'll show how to get access to your front lights.
You will see where the H7 light bulb is abd how to replace it.
You will see where the Xenon light bulb is and how to replace it.
It's the same procedure for BMW E90, E91, E92, E93.
Only guy that actually explained it, gave the names of the types of lights aswell, and even added in the description that’ll work for other e90 models 👍

You should be specific on the model year. This looks the same as my ‘06 E90. The H7 are daytime running lights.

is this for E90 LCI or Pre-LCI?? I assume Xenon cars not Halogen?

Thanks. Very informative. I just replaced the H7. The manual says it can be done from up top and you remove the inner fender. I did it from up top and only had to remove the air filter box (2 minutes since I'm used to it from cleaning the air filter). The Xenon is also easily replaced but can be done by removing the small access panel on the inner fender.

I was able to do it without taking the wheel off. Just turn the wheel all the way outward, yes outward, I know a lot of other videos say inward, but if you have this version of headlights where you have to take the whole panel off, you'll see why outward works better. I have an '07 328i

E90 ‘06 -‘08 use same hid adaptive xenon headlamp. Just adaptive xenon hid model , non regular model with H7 hi / low headlamp light bulb.
I have same problem. Some times on some times off....

What does the h7 control? Amazon says it is los/high beam but that’s my xenon lights…..? The angel eyes is h8
Should the H7 be on the socket on the mainlight? Or it can light up as it selv? :)
Question i use a tester because my bulb does not turn on and its good i bought another one that its how i know that the one i have its good my question is when i use a tester show that i have power on the base of that bulb but the bulb does not work sti'll
Can you then take out the whole headlight unit by just removing the wheel liner?

Awesome video! I have condensation in my e92 2011 m3 and got the notification saying my low beam has malfunctioned - if I replace my xenon bulb and it still doesn't work - hopefully it does - that other square piece underneath is that silver piece - how do you replace that
Thanks ! The light change should fix your problem. The silver piece, dont't know how it's connected (plugged or welded ?).
The silver piece is the ballast. You may have to change your "halo eye" bulb

I have the parking light warming, which bulb is that?
Are those Osram bulbs? Notice any improvement over the OEM Phillips?
They were the originals on my car so I can't compare to Philips...
So which bulbs are the park lights
ok bmws have two lights up front, the one on the inside and the one on the outside. Which bulb do i need for the outside light? Not the turn signal
On my model it's the xenon light (D1S). If you don't havr xenon lights probably a H7 like the inner light.

You don't need to take the wheel off to get to the access panel in teh front wheel arches. Just turn the steering full lock to the left to get access to the left wheel arch, full lock to the right to access the right wheel arch. I just replaced both H7 dipped beam (non halo) in my E91 in about 5 minutes... no jacking required.
Damned if i can work out how to get to the sidelight bulbs though. Anyone?
Indeed, no need to take the wheel off. It is much easier to film everything without the wheel though !

Are these considered low and high beam light?
Yes, the Xenon Light is always on, and the H7 only in full beam or flashing.
Just take the airfilterbox out…way easier
Do you unplug the battery first?
It's always better tu unplug the battery when touching electric parts (But I don't do it, make sure your lights are off though, if you do the same).

Yep, just did it again as I had to install new Xenon bulbs. But this time I managed without taking of the wheel.

When I push the black tab up and pull only the black tab comes out. The light bulb stays in
It can be a pain, I had the issue recently... I guess sometimes it gets stuck.

Why are there so many e90 version of this stupid car !? I have yet to find the exact one for my car . My angle light bulb looks nothing like that. It’s a 07 335i sedan with Mpackage
