I'm pretty new to rF2 so really appreciate the recommendations. Have done mainly Porsche cup car and the odd GT3 so far. Stock car 2018 seems good although I need to find a road setup as it always wants to turn left!
Totally agree, all of the Mclarens are brilliant, so are all of the Tatuus cars & the Caterham Academy. The ASR F1 cars in the workshop are fun too, the whole 1991 season is there!
A great pick. Last night I took the Renault Mégane to the Canadian Tire Motorsport park circuit after having only driven the Porsche Cayman (a free mod) on that track for about a week... Well, that's something else... There's way more bite to the Mégane than the Porsche. Harder to drive, too. A good preparation for those who want to join the BTCC races.
Good video. I didn't realise what came with the aim either. So thanks for this. I'd love a go on Mika and DC's McLaren. The radicals have always tickled my fancy tbh. So will give them a blast and let you know what I think. Clips hit the mark all the time don't they? For everything. Brilliant fun.
I find the stock cars to be a bit lack luster, the Radical is a great example the stock one is a bit pants but the DLC one that at the time came bundled with the Nords is a blast to lap and race in.
The Clio Cup would be nice for rookie sessions in lfm instead of the GT4. There seems to be an 2016 Clio Cup at the Steam workshop, you already tried it?
Here in 2024 wondering whether rfactor 2 is worth a buy? Is the stand alone content with out any mods from the work shop or dlc’s enough? And are all the base cars for free in the game just the ones you have listed?
Caterham is broken. H-Shifter only works in sequential mode, you can't jump the gears like for example when your approaching the hairpin, braking hard and you can downshift from fourth to second gear... but not in this cat. Devs know about it and ignoring totally. So, as we can't jump for joy (between the gears) like in 2unlimited song - nobody is allowed to have fun with this car, and first place doesn't count. We need a new video 😌

That's fair comment.
I think they do need to look at some free offering and refresh this lineup somewhat.

Having driven it with H-shifter I've never noticed this.
It's still my number 1 either way 🤷♂️
The "new" Mini paid dlc have the same problem like the caterham. Old content with h-shifters works perfectly fine.
