I think it depends on the cat. The cats my parents had were like that, but the one I have right now loves to learn and understands things really fast and is pretty invested in the training sessions, eager to do stuff :D Several of my friends are joking that she is secretly a dog :P

For real, i tried when I was little and it was a failure, and now, even though my cat is 10 years old he has learned like 12 tricks sooo fast, it's easier than i thought and it's so fun, i don't understand why everyone I know says it's weird

@@videossatellite5899 @Hyder Kanue first you have to rationate the food, no free feeding, in the type i use there is a label saying the quantities you wanna give depending on the size of your cat. Now your cat has an incentive and will try to work for it. Next just sit with your cat, show them you have food so they stay with you and just take their paw, at first mine was not used at anyone touching it so he took it away, doesn't matter, start just giving food everytime you take it, he'll start feeling more comfortable realising it's not threatening and it means food. Also everytime he does it "right" ( this means everytime the paw is in your hand) make a sound, here they use a clicker but i just click with my mouth, that will show them the exact moment thay did ehat you asked, so they don't have to guess what, of all the things they did is right, also it tells them that there will be food, if you struggle to take it out of your pocket they know that the food they are receiving is because of the thing they did when you clicked. Lastly just put your hand next to their paw and they'll start doing it by themselves. They can learn many tricks if you just do it gradually.

When do you know the cat is ready to learn another trick? Now my cat learnt how to shake paw, I tried to train him another trick with treat, but he wants to shake paw all the time for the treat.
@@lightblue4557 don’t reward him for doing the paw shake, only reward when he does the right thing. But when teaching tricks it’s important to make sure you repeat old tricks they know sometimes so they don’t forget. Ofc you don’t have to repeat everything but you could’ve guessed that

My cat was a grown up when I found him , he is a cat version of introvert human it took him a little while to open up but I am trying my best, at first I thought he is dumb cause he never meowed but I see he is opening up now. Now I feel he is deaf as well , he never listen to me expect when I call him for food . I don't think he likes me but I love him and I can't stop loving him cause he has no one but me . That's my pet 🐱

I taught my kitten how to lie down in about a day with the aid of a clicker. I didn't think it was a big deal but everyone who visits is astounded. Would highly recommend trying it!
