Recently swapped out my FAS pack for this one after watching your video. Game changer for my saddle hunting. I use the bottom straps on my pack for skeletor sticks. I strap my xl predator platform to the front. No more aching shoulders for my walk in. This is my new go to pack. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for the comment! I’m glad your enjoying the pack. It’s an impressive design, I’m surprised more people aren’t using it for whitetails. The Tethrd Pack looks great too, just built for a very different purpose and much less volume. I’ve been tempted to grab one for early season stuff but haven’t pulled the trigger.
As someone that just recently discovered this genre of packs but with a different use-case in mind, I did *not* notice Kuiu had a 3000 ci version. I purchased the Divide 1500 and I love the pack for what it is. This 3000 version is very interesting to me as I look for a larger pack to play 'family mule' on family backpacking trips. Good showcase, maybe missed a few of the nuance things but I don't know that those exist on the bigger version versus the smaller version. Kuiu also sells a hammock sort of thing meant to go with the Divide packs that let you carry a bow or long gun in that "divide" space and have hands free to climb and move about.
I wish the 2000 or even the 1500 had exterior straps or that divide pocket. It looks like the 3000 is the only way to go to carry a platform and sticks!
Yep. There are things about the smaller versions that I wish the larger version had, and things about the larger version that I wish the smaller ones had. I’ve emailed Kuiu offering feedback. I’d love to see some changes. But the largest size compresses well enough that it was still the best option for me.
Do you think it would do well as a part time airline/travel pack? I'm looking for something I can bring on flights as a carry-on for the usual carry-on stuff, but also put my bino's, spotting scope etc.. in there too.
I would check the dimensions to confirm it is appropriate size for a carry on, it might be too large. But as far as layout and design, it would be great for that purpose.
Not sure I would do that just because of the way those straps attach. It might be fine, but I would contact KUIU and ask them, personally it seems like it wouldn’t be the most stable and strongest setup for a lock on.
Do you think the Divide 2000 would be large enough to carry saddle gear? I’m looking to get into saddle hunting, and the 2000 version is the pack I already have… hoping that it will be large enough
Yes, I was concerned looking at the website but it’s much lighter than that in person. Looks like a dark chocolate brown online but more of a tan in person
Holding up great, no issues. Definitely a solid option IMO. There is no perfect pack in my mind, but this one and the Sitka Tool Bucket are the two best I’ve used
@@galinswigart Nice! The divide pocket that you put your platform in, how wide is that pocket? I run an EDP and it is around 1 inch wider than the Predator. Wondering if the EDP will fit in that pocket.
Sorry for the late response, just seeing this. It might be pretty snug with a larger platform. The predator fits pretty perfectly but I’m not sure a larger one would fit.
I have used the Transfer pack and I like it. They’re two very different packs. The Transfer is one of the most comfortable packs I have ever used, great padding, great suspension system. It’s just a little big for my taste. The Kuiu pack expands to the same size or maybe even larger than the Transfer, but it compresses down way way smaller when you don’t need that capacity in the early season. Both could handle bibs and a jacket no problem. I should probably do a video comparing the two, because there are things I really like about each and things I’m not as crazy about with each. Hope that helps!
Thanks! Yea that helps! I have a transfer pack on the way that I got killer deal on, so I haven’t seen it yet but I ordered a Kuiu divide 1500 for like my early season pack and was going to use the transfer for late season and hauling saddle gear. But this Divide 3000 perked my interest as a due it all pack. Keep up the good work man, I enjoy your videos a bunch some of the best out there!
Is the 330d material tough enough to really withstand stomping through dense woods, snagging on limbs, etc? There seems to be very little info out there about the 330d HT. Every time I hear "ripstop" I kinda cringe.
Definitely. Durability shouldn’t be an issue with this pack at all compared to most whitetail packs. It’s made of Cordura, similar to most western hunting packs. Rip stop is just a generic term for anything with the grid pattern stitched into it for added strength.
This might be my new pack for late season saddle hunting. Thanks for the review!

I bought this pack last year, love the pack. Using it for saddle didn’t come across my mind but I may look into that option. Thanks.
Buying one today. Thanks for the video, really help make my mind!

Dangit im getting one for my saddle hunting setup. Great review thanks!!
Looks like a sweet setup!
Definitely! I think it’s going to become very popular with whitetail hunters.
Great review. Thank you.

I have a Divide 1500. All the divide packs have the 'divide' pocket. The 1500 only has side compression straps.
Thought for travel overnight weekend get away

could you strap a hang on stand to the straps on the outside

Just ordered it in ash color. I have the Kuiu attack pants in ash. The lighting makes this pack color look darker than it is.

How much pounds of meat can this pack take?
How did it hold up for the season? Still happy with the purchase?

Is the quick draw holder compatible with this pack? I bought the holder, but see that you can cinch a rifle in the pack.
I couldn’t tell you, I haven’t tried that add on for this pack. Sorry about that!
What color is that?
I believe this is called 'Ash' ... On their website the pack appears a very dark chocolate brown, it's much lighter in person. More of a dark tan/gray
@@galinswigart thanks for the reply. I thought it was that color, but I wasn’t sure.
How many first lite clothes can you fit in it? I’m torn between this and the first lite transfer pack?

Well I have no need to watch any other review… not sure how you could top it..well done!
Appreciate the kind words! I’m glad the video was helpful.
What platform is that?
Tethrd Predator. The smaller of the two sizes.
Thanks

Color “ash” in the photo looks brownish but in this video the bag looks greenish
The bag in this video is 'Stone'. 'Ash' is brown.
