I love how they handled Leia's death, but I hate how they didn't put a tribute to Carrie, Peter, and Kenny at the end of the movie
I kind of think her death was underwhelming for how great of a character she was. She said one thing then died. I get they couldn't do much else because of Carrie's passing, but I could just be bitter since Leia is probably my favorite character from all of Star Wars.

It's sad, but just because you stop taking drugs doesn't mean their negative effects go away. We lost Leonard Nimoy to COPD because he smoked for years when he was young. And I have a feeling we're going to keep losing actors who were famous between the 60s and 80s. It's just now hitting our celebs hard, but now we know how awful drugs are :'(

I totally thought none of the original score would appear in Kenobi so I was never expecting this to play, and I’m not even going to lie, hearing this in the scene between Kenobi and young Leia made me tear up bad. Wasn’t huge on the series, but hearing this just hit something in me. Such a powerful piece. Can’t help but remember Carrie Fishers legacy as this iconic character, and an even more iconic human being. May she Rest In Peace. ❤️

3:02 is probably one of the most powerful things ever. When he reused that section for Leia’s survival in space in Episode 8 and ended it with the Skywalker theme it totally got me. Beautiful piece.

I met Carrie on the set of STAR WARS in 1976 .
I was a mere Medal Bearer , Leia kissed me the rest is history. Met her again at the crew showing of Empire Strikes Back at the Dominion Cinema on a Sunday.
I will never forget this wonderful lady ever. Just a few days before she passed I could have met her. Sadly I was in deep depression during this time. Really sad about this.
Carrie the Princess is now at one with the Universe the Stars with Debbie . May the force be good and kind to you.

Ep 2 was a tech demo
Ep 3 was filler for Canon.
Ep 7 felt and looked more like a Star Wars movie than what Crazy Uncle George gave us. There was no Jar Jar, no Midichlorians, no "Hold me like you did on Naboo", and no CG and greenscreen everywhere.
tl;dr - Prequels gave you the 'sizzle', Ep 7 let you eat the steak instead.

+Aaron Richards Plot to Empire Strikes Back: Luke trains in the ways of the force in order to take on Vader, while Han, Leia and the rest are chased by the Darth Vader. Vader is pursuing them for Luke because...you know. These two story arcs converge in the end with the confrontation. Luke learns that things are not so black and white with his training with Yoda and his confrontation with Vader. Vader is evil, but also his father who this whole time relentlessly pursued him just to have them join forces and kill the greater evil. Obi wan and Yoda are good, but also huge liars.
The whole point of the film is to beat the characters down and put them in a dark, confused and weak state in which they grow wiser as characters and figure out how to push back. This is the point of a second act of a story. Not very disjointed unless your 8. Your describing the details instead of the main plot. In your logic, the Godfather and Citizen Kane are disjointed in plot.
Ep 1: 2 jedi must escort a queen to coruscant to get help for her planet(which they don't get and end up just going back), but then crash lands on Tatooine and finds the chosen one and must have him take part in a race to get the part of the ship and free the boy to get to Coruscant to get him trained(a huge chunk of the film is dedicated to this so that's why it's a part of the plot) while trying to get the senate to help the queen. There's 2 different and complex plots in the movie that unlike Godfather part 2 are not edited and paced in a coherent way and don't really tie in cohesively. And you say Empire is disjointed.

This song, more than any other, always brings tears to my eyes. I can't explain it, but it has the most beautiful, simple, nostalgic feeling to it. Most of all, it makes me feel hopeful - a fitting theme for Princess Leia.

The news of Carrie Fisher passing away reached me just when I was about to start to watch Rogue One in the theater. The ending scene felt very bizarre and emotional knowing that she was gone just hours ago. The Force will be with you, always.
Oskar Bergman I went to see Rogue One on its opening weekend! After the news reached me of Carrie's passing, i went to go see Sing. Felt it could cheer ne up and it did
Rogue One is non canon trash by Disney.
It doesn't amplify the original film, it takes away from it.
It turns Vader into a crazed murder man instead of the methodical villain that he was in the OT.
It also tries to make the main character's father a more important hero than Luke was, and THE OT WAS ALL ABOUT ANAKIN'S REDEMPTION. Something Disney didn't figure out.
The whole entire point of the Death Star plans was to get Luke on his journey which then leads to Anakin's redemption. How the rebels got the plans and didn't matter. It was a plot device to get Luke to where he needed to go.
But thanks to Disney, we have to see the pointless story just to prop up that WOMEN POWER nonsense.

What are you getting on about? Rogue One isn’t about the Skywalkers it’s about a separate group of people, and while Vader may be a complex villain, to the Rebels and normal non-Jedi folks (AKA the main characters of the film), to their eyes, he IS just a murderous Psycho, they don’t know who is underneath the mask, they only see him as Darth Vader, not Anakin Skywalker
I think John Williams not only composed this piece for Leia, but for Carrie herself. There is a bold strengthen laced with a delicate fragility that defined Carrie's personality.

I'm never going to be able to watch Star Wars or hear this song the same ever again. Of all celebrity deaths, this one has hit me the hardest. I'm still trying to grasp the fact that she's gone. I just can't wrap my head around it. She is now one with the Force, and is more powerful than we can possibly imagine.

Just saw the last jedi a second time and came here straight away. To be brief, you were a symbol in my life as I'm sure you were in many other peoples lives. You portrayed humor, bravery and kindness in the best way. Even now, you've passed on but it takes one glimpse into anything you were involved in to remind us that we need to be the best we can be. Holy crap...haven't given this song a listen in a long time and that opening just transported me back in time. I used to play my cd of the soundtrack to go to sleep when I was young and I just vividly remembered my clunky little purple boombox.
