Never thought he could top "Stop Making Sense" but I think this entire tour collectively has allowed David to reach new artistic heights. Such a stunning piece of art.

David Byrne was the original with Eno and Peter Gabriel in their genre. Also working out the digital intellectual property copyrights years ahead of the post CD market. Ahead of the the great curve, but Byrne just delivers the message now multinational and still razor sharp as he was in my gen X adolescence with Remain in Light, where I still dwell.
This show made my year. Al the down time gone. Happy Place I want you listen good. The band is fantastic. Keep up the music. I am your number one fan. Am 70 years old make me feel am 21 year old. Nothing stopping me now. Life is incredible watching this show. Just like David Bowie what he did to me. But he gone. David if you're reading this take care God Bless You.
Deep music for the time of our awakening. This is so moving with the intro of him holding a brain and describing the parts. David Byrne comes from some mystical place that is our home. 💙
I saw this show on the gold coast. One of the best I've attended. No visible cables, amps, mike stands, nada. It was at night in an auditorium. It made unusual use of lighting giving the appearance of lots more than the twelve musicians on stage. At one stage a lamp on wheels at head height was slowly pushed toward a lone David in the centre of the stage. As it drew closer a singing shadow of his growing head was reflected on the back drop; it grew and ended with a large mishappen but discernable talking head! Wow, wow, wow.
I saw the show in Lisbon and was impressed beyond belief.... incredible... one of the best I've seen in my life...and I've seen more than I can count in my 66 years...
Loving this composition by Mr Byrne, pure genius in his younger years , yet this show is magical , further highlights is brilliance of the concept. Enjoy it all the more . Wonder which young bands are influenced by these gentleman.
This is SO good - thanks for posting (watching for the first time in 2023). Phenomenal artistry - such innovation and professionalism; amazing! David, more power to your elbow - please keep blazing a trail through the prevailing mediocrity.
Really really awesome, I've watched him at Lollapalooza Brasil 2018, I'm searching for his concert for 2 years, and finally I found, even in Santiago, like Eddie Vedder said that day, David Byrne is a genius
In my teens I liked Talking Heads for their hits and never felt a whole hearted fan. So many years on I love everything Byrne is associated with. The joy is his new work has all the integrity of his early work. America's Brian Ferry.
After first hearing "here" I thought was bit quirky, however the harmony is truly lovely. It's imaginative, and cleverly done I think this version of the show, here in Santiago wins for sound style, atmosphere and enjoyment !!!!
Hmmmm.... I saw American Utopia... in Lisbon 2018..... was front center 5M from the stage..... A friggin dance party..... This video is cool... but fails to do the live performance justice. I was 62 then.. I've been to more concerts than I can remember... Ha..... But David Byrne is up in the top 3..... Saw him 2002 at Count Basie Theater... Red Bank, NJ.... also was a dance party... he's amazing. Wonderful person
Never thought he could top "Stop Making Sense" but I think this entire tour collectively has allowed David to reach new artistic heights. Such a stunning piece of art.
Blown away
I agree. Totally brilliant. It's right up there with SMS. I had to buy the cd & dvd of this tour.
It's an every day for me now
His stuff with St Vincent also on the daily repeat
Missed Tina 😢
David Byrne is such a strange, extremely bizarre, and amazing talented man! So creative and completely unique. Love him!
I gave him one of my rap stories.. really nice
Yes David is truly amazing. He has Asperger’s, a high functioning type of Autism, which I’m sure contributes to his amazing music 😊

what an amazing person; the world needed his message so much. the world needs more David Byrnes.
And Peter Gabriel’s’ 🙌

He’s such a unique and brilliant artist 👍🏼
I absolutely adore David Byrne. His voice is just iconic and brilliant!!

Never is the same as time goes forward.....

Los mejores Shows internacionales que he visto en la vida.

And such an amazing person......
I’ve been a fan since the late seventies. I’ve always liked this music the very first time I’ve listened to it.!
This is actually so much greater than I thought it would be. Same standard as peak Talking Heads. Such great tunes and vibe!
Best live gig I have seen. Though mine was in Leeds!
Same - mine was in San Francisco.
Mine in Lisbon
Los Angeles!
Just absolutely amazing! This man is how old? 60? 70? His voice is unbelievable and perfect! What a gift to the world! 🥰
69... do you believe it.... amazing.....
I think he was 66 (?) at this performance. Seems ageless to me, tho he may be past Gumby dances & laps around the stage. 😂

My gosh!! He's actually gotten better!!! How could Talking Heads ever be bested? He did it!!!
it's absolutely the best music I've heard recently
His music comes alive with this set.
@@toddviv zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Ha, like hell. What's up there shorttermmemory? This isn't close to the Heads at their best. Tedious, contrived & even boring at times.
🗣 Give us the *band* -Tina,Chris & Jerry too!💯

Loving this composition by Mr Byrne, pure genius in his younger years , yet this show is magical , further highlights is brilliance of the concept. Enjoy it all the more . Wonder which young bands are influenced by these gentleman.
Cuanto me hubiese gustado estar ahí!!
Man. I love me some David Byrne.
Una obra de arte!!!

Gracias por haber venido a Chile gran músico admirable

Scotlands Bryan Ferry:)
Ferry has the voice, but Byrne has the soul
@@markwhelan8233 David Byrne (/bɜːrn/; born 14 May 1952) is a Scottish-born American singer
Ferry has neither!
Bryan Ferry can't touch David's feet.

David Byrne is talented AND lucky. He can't tour now with the COVID 19 around; many would have missed his talent.

I saw David Byrne in San Francisco on this same tour in August 2018 and it was easily one of the best shows I've seen in years.
This one moved me to tears 💜 (the brain thing at the beginning. I've never heard it before. Not sure what it's called)
It's called 'Here', from his newest album ('American Utopia')
I Saw this show live in Lisbon...... amazing show... the video doesn't do justice to the live performance.... beyond imagination..
