That descending introduction must've been Ralph Burns', because you can hear it in an arrangement he did of "Cottontail" for Charlie Barnet just a few months before this.

Another of those 78s I wore out through playing incessantly, many versions recorded in later years but none quite as good as this one,apparently based on "I got rhthym "
+Peter Haigh I never knew it was based on the chords of "I Got Rhythm".
