Its interesting watching matches like this - as viewers we know that astrea could have a-moved into the "technically stronger" zerg force, traded awful with it, then simply rebuilt but he probably thinks he has to trade efficiently or else lose. Look at the bank throughout the game: Astrea spent literally thousands of minerals in static defense and still had an enormous bank even after losing his entire air army along with many expensive air units piecemeal throughout the game and throwing away Zealots 10-12 at a time in run-bys just to kill some Zerglings and static defense. I'm not saying that Zerg is overpowered or underpowered; I'm saying the entire Zerg race is designed to either exploit an early mistake by the opponent and end the game with clearly overstacked Tier 1 units (Queen march, Roach/Ravager push) or to engage the opponent in the midgame with attack units and spellcasters that are produced so quickly and in such high numbers that they can take dramatically inefficient fights, quickly remax their army due to the Larva mechanic, and then end the game before the opponent can re-stabilize. Failing that, they have a massive uphill battle in the endgame, and only the absolute very best Zerg players (like Serral and Raynor) tend to do well there.
