Actually the Macintosh XL did not have a startup sound. In addition, the SE/30 and PowerBook 100 actually use the same startup sound as the Macintosh II, the Classic uses the same startup sound as the original Macintosh, the PowerBook 500 series use the same startup sound as the Quadra 700 (unless PowerPC upgraded), and the PowerBook G3 Kanga and Power Macintosh 5500, 5400, G3 minitower, G3 desktop and G3 all-in-one use the same startup sound as the 9500.
So basically Apple is using the very same startup sound since 1998 iMac G3 to this day. Considering how many Windows versions and respectively different startup have been over those years, that's absolutely unbelieveable! ... and kinda weird though. 25 years and still the same sound 😵
@@atlantisia welp, old doesn't necessarily means it's not iconic nor that its bad, for example, when you hear the classic windows xp sound you automatically think of windows, the same thing with macs i know that microsoft only used windows xp bootup sound in one OS, but microsoft doesn't even produces computers, they produce OSes, apple produces both computers and OSes.
Who else misses when Steve jobs was still alive and running apple, Tim nook makes iPhones weak on purpose so that when you take your phone to get repaired at the Apple store they tell you that a cracked screen is beyond repair and you're going to have to get the new iPhone, even nook himself said that iPhones are weaker then last years model. I use android now (s22) and tbh i don't plan on going back to iPhone. Now I've always used windows and never will leave windows, currently using a window vista tower and a windows 11 HP victus (my main)
