I think you are being a BIT harsh in my opinion. Your main gripe is their lack of awareness of their surroundings. You state that you understand them not having the driving skills since they are new, but I actually feel that situational awareness on a racetrack is also another skill that is honed and improved upon with more race experience. Love your videos and your content, and it sucks that you had to deal with the traffic. I can understand your feelings of frustration. I personally just view it differently. As frustrating as it is, lappers are kind of just a part of the sport, and as others have stated already, this was also kind of a DKC issue. I really can't wait for DKC to resurface this track. The slick track got REAL old for me real quick.
DKC has truly ruined any business rep they had before. This track is HORRIBLE, if they don't fix it, no one is going to go there for a real karting session unless you are a member on the south track. What a screw up from DKC, they quite literally had one job.
Agreed. I went with a bunch of karting friends in June 2023. Drove up from Houston. For the first time out there, it was an interesting experience but this is a massive failure by DKC. The general public coming from Dallas who tries it out for the first time is going to be sorely disappointed and there were some really nasty off-track experiences when we were there. Consensus in my group was the same. We don't plan on going back until we can confirm the track is solid again like it's been reported to have been.
I think people are being too hard on the track. I love the drift track 😂 it takes superb kart control to drive it and it punishes you extra hard for mistakes. The same people still win pretty much every time. Lappers should expect to get blasted if they don’t move 👾
i agree in part but my only gripe is you lose the sense of speed that you’d get on the old track. you used to take a couple turns at 40 mph and now you’re lucky to hit 40 on the straights.
I would say no more than 25 karts. 28 was dumb. I had an issue on last lap that prevented me from batteling for 5th. The "regular racer" off track was in kart 7 and went full send into that turn and lost it trying to pass me. I even moved over and let him by. 😂
That track is so slippery, it's difficult to learn the proper racing lines. I wish they would allow the rental on the older track because this was no fun to try to race that track.
Be mad at the track officials for not throwing the blue flag and for not paying attention to the race at hand, not the people who paid to race no matter the skill. If I paid good money and I've got a chance to race someone, I'm going to, it's my session just as much as it's yours. Throw a blue flag at me, different story but the new guys probably have no idea how fast someone just came up on them or where they even came from, they just see it as an opportunity to finally race with someone because they've been slow the entire time, prior.
Man this was a bad race in a lot of ways. The lapped Karts need to pull over and let the leaders go by. Also I have been dissapointed in these new Karts. They have not been as equal as the old karts in my opinion. Good job for you and Justin!
I'm not sure I see the point of getting so mad at and blaming a new driver when by your own admission... DKC doesn't properly blue flag, didn't make anyone qualify for the race practically guaranteeing back markers.. and I would guess (I wasn't there so I don't know) that they don't bother to explain to newer drivers to get out of the way of faster traffic. Everyone assuming you know what you're doing is a recipe for incidents just like this. This in my opinion is DKC's issue and they need to tighten up their regulations... that's where your anger should be directed in my opinion.
That's a fair assessment. We do have a driver's meeting before each race and sometimes they address getting out of the way and sometimes they don't mention it.
There were no blue flags and you divebombed a driver. You could have damaged your kart and hurt him. I know in the heat of the moment you were pissed. But you should be mad at marshalls for not waving the BLUE FLAG

Track just needs to police the people not the racers. Makes it very frustrating for the people in the front. I would have acted the same way.
That must have been really annoying.
How come there were no blue flags used in this race?
What type of radio are you using for comms?
It's called a Sena. They're used for motorcycles but work well in karting too.
@@IllegalAlienRacing thanks so much

The corner workers don't throw blue flags during our races.
