- Mechanism of lipid peroxidation.
Lipid peroxidation is the oxidative degradation of lipids. It is the process in which free radicals "steal" electrons from the lipids in cell membranes, resulting in cell damage. This process proceeds by a free radical chain reaction mechanism. It most often affects polyunsaturated fatty acids, because they contain multiple double bonds in between which lie methylene bridges (-CH2-) that possess especially reactive hydrogen atoms. As with any radical reaction, the reaction consists of three major steps: initiation, propagation, and termination. The chemical products of this oxidation are known as lipid peroxides

Best lipid peroxidation video on UA-cam. Thank you
thank you so much!explain of a 2hours lesson in 5 minutes!
Thanks Rui for appreciation....This is my aim to put forward mammoth lectures in few minutes.....
Nice
Nice
I promise😂. Got a quiz tomorrow
Omg I've spent all the day on this lesson and u just take a while... Good bless u man ❤
thanks Nura for appreciation...Glad it helps
@@hussainbiologyhello sir i wants about this topic notes can you share with me plz replay
Your lecture is really commendable and I got it indeed.Be blessed
Thank you! Im on my way preparing for final, and it really helped☺️👍
Wow, simple to understand! Thank you!
Thanks Carmen for appreciation.... Really Glad to know that it helps.
oh thanks a lot very helpful you explaining really good
thanks for appreciation.. Glad it helps...
Thank U so much. Keep spanding this knowledge like that !
thanks Marina for appreciation..
Your explanation and interpretation of peroxides is really great. You are really wonderful👏👏👏💗💗
Very good lecture
Awesome, Pls give subtitles too
Thanks for appreciation....And i will make sure to add subtitles
Crystal and clear.
Great Job 👍
At the end of the reaction, ROOR is formed. What is the next step in this process? If both R groups contain 14 carbons, would the final product be a 28-carbon lipid peroxide? Additionally, after this, would both R groups revert to regular lipids, or would they form alkoxyl lipids?
Thanks for the knowledge. Only issue, you draw a curved double headed arrow to show the pushing of a single electron radical. This should have been a curved single headed fishhook arrow to indicate the movement of a one electron.
thanks for appreciation..Glad to know that it helps ✌️
Yeah i accept that graphical representation of arrow
mashAllah u just make.my day .... ALLAH bless u
Fantastic, this is such a good video. Thank you.
Thanks Paddison for appreciation..Glad to know that it helps
Would be nice if you could add some subtitle. English is not my native idiom and I have some difficulties to understand the accent sometimes haha
Thanks Let ia for appreciation...Glad to know that it helps and surely i will be adding subtitles pretty soon for this lecture......
Im a native spanish speaker, i was searching for some video like yours, but in my lenguage theres not a lot of videos about peroxidation and the videos i found, are so hard to understeand and sometimes bad explanation, i tried to understeand you with my english lvl and i think i did, thank you so much, you saved me
thank you so much for ur love and support
Thank you so much.
You are welcome...keep sharing and supporting
Great explanation! Thank you so much 🌻
Great brother.... Keep it up
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
When using substances to increase Ferroptosis like arternesium, how does taking a iron supplement affect the production of peroxidase ? I read "Any iron present from residual food may neutralize the peroxides." but i dont understand the mechanism.. Appreciate your explanation
Luv dat video educating about H2O2. Kept seeing this H2O2 in organic chemistry, was thinking water???? Base H2O with big O added. Plants and animal cells alike. Tks.
thanks for appreciation
Thank you 💯
You are welcome bro ....
very clear thank you
Thanks Mizz for appreciation.
Glad to know that it helps .
superb..........
Nice
Look up the LD50 for ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate then see if it prevents lipid peroxidation, with its electron donor properties. :-)
This is a really great video, your explanation is very clear. Thank you!
Most welcome.. Keep sharing and supporting
Thanks. But I couldn't understand many words you were saying. Could speak a little slower and enunciate? I listened over and over but couldn't make out many words. I know it's my problem for not understanding you accent (everyone has an accent). Just asking, I guess.
apologies still from my end.... now my new videos have slower narrations
Thank you sir. You have indeed presented it very well.
thanks for appreciation... glad to know that it helps
Thank u very much ❤
You're welcome 😊
Thanks, you explained it the best out of the other videos I've watched. I've been taking care of my in-laws and noticed that "old people's smell " and I wanted to know what caused it. Now I know. You did an excellent job and you are very knowledgeable with this subject. 👏
THANK YOU
You explain very good ways and elobrative process.
can this result in either fat/collagen/muscle loss? i got a nutreval refently and my lipid peroxide count was high. i have joint pain as a 25 year old and my rheumatologist ruled me out for RA and Lupus.
Go on the carnivore diet man.
Look up Dr. Paul saladino, Dr shawn baker, Dr Ken berry, Dr anthonee Chaffee, robb wolf, and Diana rogers.
They all eat a carnivore diet and can explain the science far better than I can.
However if you're not eating PUFA your join pain should go away.
I had my knee rebuilt due to an injury when I was 21. I went on the carnivore diet 2 years ago at 27. My knee hasn't had pain since.
Simply Awesome... Much Thanks....
thanks Doc
thank you for this video ❤️
1 - from where comes this O2 in this chain reaction ?
2 - Why are we talking about PUFAS when you show that this cycle happens in CH2 rather than CH=CH (so it looks like reaction that can happen in saturated fat as well with no difference)
Thanks
🙏🙏
My God! You are a magician! God bless you 🙏🙏🙏❣️
thanks Mukunda for appreciation... Glad to know that it helps
Thank you sir
Very nice explanation
thanks Faema for appreciation.. Glad to know that it helps ✌️
Hands down. You're the baddest
Thanks so much for these lessons, but I have a question, help me, how is diabetes mellitus a cell membrane disorder?
May Allah bless day and night
Thanks a lot😩
Allah bless u too Marry..
Since ya are talking since ya take a while to go back and forth to board, so I would assume ya are talking, so can put closed caption.
Wonderful.ty so much
thanks Haya for appreciation.... ✌️✌️
Best video ever
Plz upload video on cell injury by free radicals
Thanks for appreciation.... And yes, the video on free radicals will be made soon.
@@hussainbiology thanks 🙂
Great video. Thank you very much :)
Thanks a lot for the explanation

Thx man ❤
How do you heal/ repair your body from lipid peroxidation?
Chris Lehman vitamin E is a great start
look for more stable forms of fats, like saturated fats and cholesterol (from high quality eggs). i’m no doctor but seems logical.
Sir please tell me , why the lipid radical didn't terminated before damaging cells, don't get it properly.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
Welcome Yacoub .....Keep sharing and supporting
Can someone make some captions? I can't understand the accent. (I mean no offense, im sure the explanation is great)

Hussain Biology In sha Allaah, ur wlc sir u have ability to understand us and also teach us by short but meaningful leacture special its useful to save our time, and sir have u any vedio about oxidaion of protien by ROS for example alter of amino acids chain, I searched but didnt find any vedio about it?
Till now i have not made any video like that but InshaAllah i will keep this in mind and will be making video on that .😊
Hussain Biology thank u soo muchh sir, waiting for that...
But it will take time , since i am having tight schedule these days. Already two videos are in post production process.
