@@harrypathak9604 I am actually not studying medicine but something called molecular biomedicine. I am a about to finish a longer course in human physiology. The textbook we have used, along with lectures and classes, have been "Physiology" by Berne and Levy 7th edition

lingual lipase doesn't work in the mouth but predominantly in the stomach , due to its optimum pH at 4.5-5.4, we don't find that pH value in the mouth.
