I don't quite understand how evidence that gives insight of the character they are dealing with, is not allowed to bring to the court. Especially with restraining orders, isn't it important to know HOW MUCH of a psycho you deal with? A piece of paper won't stop a real psycho from showing up to your house and really just end your life, if that person is already in a situation where he won't be able to have a normal life for the next 20+ years. I can understand that you don't want to muddy the water with evidence that is not related to your case, but in case where a person speaks out death threats, I think it's very relevant how he interacted with other people in general to effectively protect the plaintiff from further harm. I can understand that you don't want to muddy the water with evidence that is not related to your case, but in case where a person speaks out death threats, I think it's very relevant how he interacted with other people in general to effectively protect the plaintiff from further harm. People went to prison for a Tweet that was less threatening than desolance everyday chat history and in desolance case, he has even more reasons to actually act on it.
Desolance has the real life adress of multiple people who bring him to justice, he is constantly aggressive and outlashing from the tiniest conflict and he has less and less to lose. At some point, a person is just too great of a danger to other people to simply ignore the big picture, while slowly chipping him down and further motivate him to translate his words into actions. If desolance wouldn't be so dumb in court, a lot of evidence proofing how bad of a person he is, wouldn't have come out for the judgement. A smart criminal would have fully abused the fact, that you are limited in the evidence you are allowed to bring up.
