- On the final crazy play of a crazy game, Jacksonville State running back Calvin Middleton found himself in the middle of a mass of bodies as quarterback Coty Blanchard lofted a 2-point conversion pass toward the end zone. Somehow, through the arms and legs, Middleton came down with the football as the Gamecocks celebrated a stunning 49-48 victory over Mississippi in double overtime. September 4, 2010.
Such an proud moment for Jacksonville State!

Cody Blanchard played right down the road from me in high school....it's cool as shit to watch him make plays at this high of a level...wow
kudos to Jacksonville State, they played 4 quarters without giving up, my whole family watched this game, just too good to turn channels, hat's off to the players and staff. Hope JSU's season is outstanding. And for me and my daughter, Roll Tide Roll.
And now Florida State knows who JSU is too!

This is great for JSU. I go to JSU. I went crazy when we won. But the SEC is the best football conference in America regardless. I go to JSU, but I'm an Alabama fan by birth.
i am a marching southerner, and we were going wild during this game. by the time we got to the hotel no one had their voice. regardless of what we just did to ole miss, sec is still BY FAR the best confrence in ncaa football. get over it you pac 10/big 12 nut huggers. youre all over-rated

I agree to an extent. That being said, the past 7 years of SEC national championships puts a large blow to your argument. Not to mention 8 out of the last 10 are SEC wins.
A&M got an entirely new coaching staff when they came to the SEC. They simply picked up on where most teams of their conference lack: A great passing defense.

Outstanding win by Jacksonville State, however the SEC is stiil the best conference in football but not by a large margin, I would love to see SEC teams what they can do in real weather football condition in the Big Ten in the fall...

1 year JSU lost to Florida St in the last minute. Then beat them a few years later. Plus took Aubutn to OT.
I don't see them doing this again against Auburn on Saturday...and I'm an alumni!

every conference would be shit without their best teams...except the big 10 only has like 2 best, maybe 3 now that rich rod found his type of qb..plus uga used to battle for the sec championship every year, just having a few down years, most teams go through it, especially in the SEC..without osu the big 10 would suck even more...and the SEC wouldnt have anybody to beat the shit out of in championship games

thats just a stupid statement to make period.....conference A is superior to conference B but wouldnt be if conference A was missing its stronger teams...if you took osu outta the big 10 they would lose national credibility...theyve already lost credibility in the south...youre basically saying the big 10 is far inferior to the SEC unless the SEC were to lose its good teams...so yea, SEC is boss
