The lack of consistency prevents me from learning Blender, I have been watching character modeling tutorials for 1 year . I would think it's not my thing but then why am I here? It's been at least 4 months since the last time i opened Blender, maybe it's time to go back and try this low poly style, I'll try to dedicate at least 1 hour a day this month to see how it goes. wish me luck o/

I might try to follow it as close as possible in maya, cuz that's what I use for school, but if that doesn't work it makes sense cuz blender isn't maya. I have a question! How tall is that model you applied to render, the 3D human one? Because like- if you were to compare it to a human. Because in my case I want to make my model a nice 4"3 but I'd like to know the height of that base model to make a comparison!
Issues I ran into (as a new user hab mercy) Reference image was upside down/ completely off axis Metarig was tiny/ facing forward (basically lying horizontal lol) Reinserted the rig 4 times Learned new shortcuts Learned how to add reference images Learned how to add metarig 📝 We are learning 😅
some issues i ran into are not seeing the same menus as shown in the tutorial, my layout looks completely different, and the version im using is 4.2.1 i think(?) is there any way to fix this?
Hmm, I would double check your blender version by clicking the little Blender symbol at the top left, which lets you bring up the splash screen. That will also tell you what version you're using. Downloading the latest version of Blender from the website can never hurt!

Excellent question! It looks like, by default, Rigify's Human Meta rig is 6 feet 5 inches tall, or about 2 meters! :)
