I’m glad to see some new vids out ! I have a KRX same color. Your videos and reviews is what convinced me to purchase the krx over the talon and I’m so happy with it
Thanks guys!! Glad to hear from riders not dealers. Of course, a dealer is going to tell you it’s the greatest machine ever. I have a yxz that I love and l have had great luck with it. My yxz has almost 6500 miles on it and zero problems. The problem is a yxz a little high strung for my riding style. Thanks again.
I'm right there with ya on using only OEM belts. I have never put an aftermarket brand belt on any of my Polaris machines, and have never broken a belt. I will do the same with my KRX. I would bet the dealership messed up the seal when they checked the clutch bolts. If it came from the factory like that, the dealer should have seen and replaced it then.
A little late to this video. I wish you had shown a close-up of the primary sheaves. I pulled mine apart last week (1600 miles) and my sheaves are fairly well worn. Dealer insists they're fine so I won't worry about it, but would love to have seen yours to compare. I put a new belt on too for the heck of it; also saving the old one for a spare.
Great vid. Quick question, thinking about getting a krx next summer. I ride a lot of steep, rocky terrain in northwest Arkansas, and I am hearing that people love this machine. How do you feel about this machine so far?
I THINK I ONLY ONE THAT I KNOW THAT BLEW UP AT ONLY 15 HRS THEY PUT ME A NEW MOTOR IN 2 WEEKS HAD IT BACK NOT TWO BAD THEY ALSO GAVE ME 6 MONTHS MORE WARRANTY TILL JUN2021 I LIKE IT IT GO LIKE A BILLY GOAT GOT 35X 10,5X15 HCR350 TIRES THEY ARE AMSZING ONLY 11PSI AND THEY SOAK UP ALOT
Are those the original tires? Man mine with just 100 miles are missing chunks and have cuts. Probably wont make it to 300 miles. You must ride in some smooth and clean conditions.
So my krx has abt 1400 miles on it and I just recently changed the belt cause it was slipping a lot but I took it off yesterday and the intire belt box was covered in belt dust like everything in a thick and it’s only had abt 200 miles on the new belt is that a problem ?
Yes you will find tons of dust when removing the cover. I like to blow mine out every 500 miles or so. Also I noticed more dust when the belt was first new. I would also just check the belt for any unusual wear to make sure you don’t have an issue with anything. My guess though it’s fine overall. 👍
@@DerangedOffRoad I have to agree with John. The measurement would be from the two points that the inside surface of the straight edge would meet the top surface of the belt. (Sort of an imaginary point). .....About impossible to do!

Yep I think you’re correct

Mine looked really good and yes I should have put that on there. -Garrett
Do you have a fix for the heat on your feet
Thanks for the video. Where do you get your M10 bolt from. Also do you have your windshields in stock?
Yes windshield is in stock and I use Ace Hardware for all my bolts. They always have a great selection.
As always great review content
would you recommend this machine, i go into the mountains a lot to do panning for gold and sometimes up way up in the back country?
I would. Despite a few first year bugs, the KRX is a very well built machine and is proving to be very reliable. -Joe
Yes it is awesome in the hills and mountains unless you need something more narrow.
It's M10 x 1.25, 60 mm long! 10 mm is the diameter and 1.25 is the pitch. The way you said it is like saying 1/4 x 1", 20, when it is 1/4-20 x 1".
Love mine had handled everything I thrown at it mountains, trails, mud it’s an all around great machine.
Hey Garrett. What heat in the cab are you talking about. Lol!
🤔🤔🤔🤔😂 just a little. 👍
I thought Colin Farrell was making a cameo appearance. 😅
I took off my solid rear window for summer. It is better more airflow.
🤣 my long hair is a long story!

It’s great for everything is what I like best. I would buy it again hands down. -Garrett

How did you bend/break the wheel? Still no other damage? Great vid as always, thanks man.
Must have hit something but I never felt it. I didn’t have any other damage.
U have the light bar bracket fit krx
No, look up EMP for that 👍

Yep original tires , but I don’t ride in smooth stuff all the time.
Deranged Off-Road it must be the jagged rocky trails here. Pretty much shredding the tires. Glad to know they can get good miles in different terrain.
My original tires were done at 1500 miles.
Garret looks like uncle kracker in the thumbnail 😂😂😂😂
#closedsalonsarereal!
Haha haha!!! #newnickname
Question, if you reinstall the old belt don’t you need to note direction of rotation? I was told that was not necessary with a new belt. Good vid.👍
Correct
Does that thing ever leave the black top? Lol upper Midwest trail riding and you would never get that thing that clean after 1000 miles
I think the guys would disagree with you. I get everything clean. 😃 -Garrett
I hear ya. Side by sides are expensive and I like keeping mine clean too
Moose knuckle Garage Garrett spends more time cleaning than riding!
-Dave
I think we can all agree that when you hit a Kawasaki you don’t really gotta inspect your belt let’s be real
Does the 2020 belt fit on the 2021 ?
Yes sir 👍
Just checked mine after 1,000 hard miles absolutely no wear on the belt.
That’s awesome, mine wasn’t bad either overall.
@@DerangedOffRoad I ride with guys that don’t get 200 miles out of a belt with Mavericks or X3s and we’re riding the same trails.
OMG! What will it happen before everybody goes to the Honda system ! This is insane.

@@DerangedOffRoad ok thank you
What a terrible pain in the ass to change a belt
Belt? What the hell is that? 😉
The best invention ever! 😂😂
Not how you need to measure the belt.
Please explain?
@@DerangedOffRoad imgur.com/a/LBdGhHR
Yes it is
@@DerangedOffRoad I have to agree with John. The measurement would be from the two points that the inside surface of the straight edge would meet the top surface of the belt. (Sort of an imaginary point). .....About impossible to do!
@@DUNEATV If that's the correct way he better take the new belt, opened on camera, back because it's already under the wear limit.
