I’ve watched this video a few times and I really like how you’ve mounted the solenoid. Initially, I mounted the solenoid on the side of the glove box so I made longer cables to reach the winch. Now, I’m installing a auxbeam where the solenoid was and mounting the solenoid the way you did it. Thanks for the ideas and the thorough explanation you provide on your vids👍.
just bought the same set up after watching your video. Did you have any clearance issues while bolting the winch to the kfi winch bracket? My winch keeps hitting the frame down tube before it is completely tight to the winch bracket. Did you have to use a spacer of any type? Thanks for the info and I love your videos.
Do you have any updates on the winch now that it’s been on there for a bit… I know you spend some time in the dunes and that’s the kind of riding I do here in AZ as well I was just wondering at full droop are you hitting anything at all on that winch. The blue wire mount looks awful close to the upper arm and the actual winch barrel itself does too.
If you're going to add other accesories do it why you have the dash torn apart. Every additional item you cram into that car is just one more obstacle to hurdle when you find more bling later. I have the trail edition krx so I actually bought this HF 5000 to install on the rear end.
@@peadookie Winches have a 'duty cycle' on how long you can runt the winch motor and then the needed break so that you don't burn out the winch. Every winch is different so you need to look at the OEM paper work that comes with the winch.
@@DirtNDiesel yep, familiar with duty cycles, but wasn't sure if OP's suggestion was because the HF winches have a low duty cycle or because the stator and battery just can't handle very much.
Great video. You mentioned you can download a 20% off coupon for Harbor Freight, I cannot find anything. Are you able to direct me to where to find this discount? Really want to go this route.

🏆🏆🏆👍🙏
Watch that duty cycle closely.
Thank you for sharing
Thank you, I will
Why do you say to watch the duty cycle? Motor or battery?

Great video
Hi, are you still happy with this install / winch?
👍
Does the KRX have any room for a second battery? Would it be better to run the winch off of a secondary battery as to not impact the primary battery?
Nice! See you tomorrow.
Can't wait!
