      I put an accupoint 3x9 with triangle reticle. Plan todo a mpbr zero on it, but possibly shouldn’t have bought that reticle. On the other side i think it will fit the gun well.

      Old school technique. Also used for checking plumb (hang a plumb bob/weighted string on the wall and project the light through, the shadow from the reticle should align with the plumb bob).

    This MAN speaking clearly has a compendium of knowledge on an SPR. You can hear it in his voice and he just keeps flowing. I would have been pausing him every 30 seconds jotting down whatever I could remember and he'd already be steps ahead.

    I'm the "Gun guy" of my friend group, have built dozens of rifles, served in the Army in a line unit and I still got some great advice from this. That dang flashlight trick for setting eye relief was like getting hit in the head with a box of bricks.... why haven't I been doing that all along. Great video and instructor

    Basically a SPR (Special Purpose Rifle) can be any rifle that fits the environment or the needs of that environment whether urban, rural, jungle, desert, forest, or whatever

    This is what great instruction looks like. For the money, the best scope I've seen that fits the spr role is an Arken SH-4 gen Ii with ffp mil reticle, zero stops, 34mm main tube, and parallax adjustment for $300. Before Arken did it, that price point was unheard of.

    20" 1-7 HBAR, side charging upper, Smith Vortex flash hider, Odinworks adjustable block, ultraslim 12" handguard, KP15 lower with single stage 3 lb trigger, PA 4-14x44 DMR HUD optic, tube mounted SRO and a cheap 6" bipod until I can get a good one in.
    Most of my weight is in the barrel. As much as I dislike that for balance, carrying a 10 lb rifle isn't fun. It's a sub MOA gun, and I absolutely love the DMR HUD reticle.

    What is the handguard/rail size of the rifle at 2:22? I'm looking to order either a 13 inch or 15 inch rail for my SPR and I want to make sure I get the right bipod clearance shown in the video for hand positioning.
