This cat sounds like a match for your signature sounds Jay. You might want to hold on to that baby.
I agree 100% :)
I love ur blue tele man!!
That’s some of the most incredible tasty playing of several styles ! 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks :)
That tele ❤
Really on the ropes about whether to purchase this amp or not I am truly curious about build quality and dependability. The sound is absolutely fabulous. It sounds like the touch sensitivity is pretty good as well and certainly the amp is more than versatile. Great vintage tones. great playing truly wonderful demo however I would love to hear your opinion about the custom transformers and the actual build construction are the jacks attached to the PCV or are they separate some simple things like that just to make sure of the quality of the amp I want something that can be serviced to last for years not for two or three thanks 7:20
Man, that’s about the best sounding amplifier I’ve ever heard, and with the most sensible volume/gain control layout. If they did a 20-watt Hot Cat, they’d have me.
Yeah, they really knocked this one out of the park!
God that sounds tasty! The intro on the tele...Holy hell
Yeah! Super screamer with that Tele :)
Man that amp sounds fantastic!!! great playing of course as always!
Always great to hear from you! Thanks so much man :)
When you wished you never listened to hype and bought a stupidly expensive digital modeller multi fx unit......... I am totally getting one for my tele when I can pull together enough $$. Big thanks for making this video. Love your playing !
Really appreciate it! Lots of amazing things you can do with those crazy modellers, but there is something really satisfying with a good old fashioned cranked amp :)
Sounds incredible Jay, will you be getting a Lynx to try? Not enough demos of that amp, especially for low to mid gain sounds
I did try a Lynx at NAMM and it was amazing. I should definitely look into getting one up here!
Thanks!
Really appreciate it: thanks!
what an awesome sound! -- Ace playing Jay 💛
Thanks so much!
Hot cat for me
Want one bad. 1 to 10. What is it? Please tell.
I use my Hot Cat ALL THE TIME. It has kind of become a go to amp around here in the video studio. Love it!
Bro, you’re absolutely killing it! Thanks for another great vid!
Thanks!
class demo. That sounds great. You play insanely well. Great
Thanks!
Man awesome playing style. Showed me what this can do other than the chugging ad nauseum on most of the other videos.
Really appreciate it, thanks!
What happened to the cat eyes in the logo that used to light up, that was cool, and unique : ( has input/output jacks on the rear above the serial number with nothing to tell you what they are for!
Yeah, looks like the vibe for the new ones are a little more minimalistic a slick: the logo still lights up though. The input/output jacks in the back are for the fx loop. I actually prefer this look to be honest :) Thanks for writing!
Nice
Great playing, demo and tones! I'd really be interested in a Bad Cat Jetblack demo to compare to the other two Bad Cat offerings. Keep doing your thing man, you're rockin' it!
I may have a Jet Black on route, so I will definitely let you know!
@@JayLeonardJ how did you like the Jet Black?
What pick are you using?
I had a bunch of clayton custom picks made. Acetal 0.8mm
Man that sounds amazing.
Thanks!
Great playing as always Jay
Thank you :)
This sounds fantastic...both your playing and the amp...and the two together. I'm very interested if this is the cheaper circuit board series, and what the volume is like in your room? I'd recommend getting an spl meter that we can see on camera, to get an idea how loud things are.
SPL meter is a great idea. Funny you mention it the circuit board. I had to swap a few parts in mine (they did a very minor circuit change right before launch) and the board they use is incredibly robust as is the components they populated it with. In general, everything seems super overbuilt there :)
As far as I can tell on their website, I’m not even seeing there “handwired” series anymore although you can probably still order one custom. For me, I’ve let go of the common myth of PCB being of lesser quality (although in some cases in can be). Perhaps by cheaper, the the OP just meant less expensive, and in that regard yes PCB helps meet a lower price point.
You think the hi lo switch would make a good lead boost. Or is it too much of a jump?
It is a perfect boost. That is actually what I use them for :)
Thanks jay Volume boost as well or just gain?
Great demo
Thanks!
Sounds a little dark. I think it's edging on muddiness but it may the cab.
I have one and they not dark at all.
