Awesome video, A little tip if the samsung DEX comes up when you plug your phone in telling you to tap your phone to allow use DEX just hit the Esc button on your keyboard.

Thank you, these tips were really awesome. I wanted to use these solutions as my S10+ got water damage and the screen is not working (only the alarm clock, for God's sake), with my Dex Station but looks not working. I was thinking about the keyboard, but I don't think that there could be any diffs. So I guess the Dex Station itself is not capable to handle these. I'll buy a cheap dongle then.
I had the same problem, but lucky me turned on the remote unlock feature in my Samsung account, so I was able to uncock the device and use the Dex Station properly after.

awesome my s21 ultra screen and digitizer just randomly stopped working and i need to back up my phone you are a life saver
:( just got a hub and tried it, just shows a lock on the screen and the windows key+ w dosnt work for me
this happen when you never used DEX. try pressing two time faster the power button. this will open de camera and activate dex....hope it works. depend on the update.
@@WebLeoTV ive used dex before. I tried pressing the power button quickly and it called 911 lol I had to explain to the Police that my Phone Was broken.
I get the Lock on the gray screen With no clock and the digitizer stopped working.

If you have a pin/password try to press Win+W then enter the pin/password and hit enter.
heya, i had the same problem with my note 20 ultra, tied the same method, but couldnt get it on the tv screen, tried everything, spacebar, enter everything.. no thing worked. then i just put it back in the closet,yesterday i even went to samsung service centre, they opened the phone and said its electical damage due to moisture( which is so untrue) and adviced me to chnage the display with a quote of around euro 250, which i think will be of no use, now today of no reason it started on its own, i dont know till how long itll be fine. but im glad its back :)

@@WebLeoTV Mister, thank you very much for the tip that in background the mouse and keyboard is working. I was in this exact situation and what you can do it is to press TAB and Space until you enter. TAB move between clickable areas and you press TAB + Space until point into Start.

I see the lock screen with time, but phone does not respond to Windows + W - I use a Samsung S20 FE 5G.. ( it rebooted and I can hear it but display is black.)
But the screen responds to display off button on my Logitech keyboard by going blank or showing time..

As others have said my Samsung also isn't starting DeX when Pressing Windows+W because I never used DeX before.
I have a mouse and Keyboard hooked up with an adapter. I get the unlock pattern screen but only seems to help turn on the phone, nothing comes on the screen after putting in the pattern and trying Windows+W. Great Video! Please update us on the workaround :)

Do you think it will work on my S7 edge (has micro usb connection) - I needed to order a micro usb to usb-c adabter to allow a connection to the hdmi adapters usb-c outlet that plugs into phone. I'm not sure the data will transfer through the adapter that I ordered??? Anyway the adapter is in the post and I just wondered what you thought? Jon.

Idk who needs to hear this but I have a pin type, and I got stuck on the press start for Samsung Dex. I just press the power button to open the camera then used my mouse to slide the middle and I got to the Home Screen then walla.

no , you cant. bluetooth work like that, pairing. Used a wired or a wireless keyboard with the USB, its wireless, but not bluetooth. greatings.
I had also een white screen of death on my s20 afther 2jears and 1 month, no garanty is given by samsung, bad thing, they know that is is een big issue

no way you can do it if debugging mode isnt turn on.
On my PC after I do my pattern to get into the phone Samsung Dex keeps telling me to press start to continue. There is no start on my key board so I don't know what to do.

yes. happen to me with an S22 Ultra. the only way is to used a mouse and try and guess to click where the ACCEPT botton is.....not an easy way, but i will try to make a tutorial soon.

Hi, My case is pattern locked screen broken phone. I tried adapter , HDMI cable and Window+W option...Samsung Dex flashes on Display for just fraction of section and goes off immediately to mobile screen lock mode. hi! did you connect your power supply to the adapter? some USC C to HDMI adapters need to be power . then you connect your phone.

try this (find on a page) Connect phone to a usb-c hub with enough ports for mouse-+kb
Connect both mouse+kb
Connect phone to tv
IMPORTANT STEP - Once you see the black/grey screen, keep pressing "down then enter" on your
keyboard until your phone recognizes that you're trying to press the emergency call button to try and
make an emergency call.
The emergency call page will now mirror on your TV. You can now check and move around your mouse
and you will see your mouse cursor.
Press and hold the physical power button on the side of your phone.
Power options will appear (Power Off Restart - etc), at the bottom will be an option that says - side key
settings.
Press this side key settings button.
Phone will now ask you for your pattern for unlocking your phone. You can now use your mouse to click
and drag your pattern to unlock your phone.

TL:DR- Use usb-c hub -+ mouse&kb + TV. Press down and enter on kb until you "click/touch" the
emergency call button. Phone will now mirror. Press and hold power button on phone. Click side key

@@WebLeoTV Well I was able to get the wired mouse to power on. I was unable to get the keyboard to light up though. Maybe its something to do with the power consumption. Still working on it though thanks!

None of this worked for me. I've got the connector, the Bluetooth mouse and adaptor and a plug in keyboard. Mouse works fine elsewhere but not on this phone nor does the keyboard

should be a WIRELESS mouse or keyboard, not a bluetooth with its usb.

I've inserted a sim card into the phone and inserted the pin . This phone now shows up on find my Samsung, but I still can't get past the grey lock screen 😢 I can't seem to get onto the biometric pattern screen?
