One of the nice features of the Mastodon (zikz 612) is that with a 2 slot flatbed, the crane is rear mounted. This lets it reach onto trailers and lets you back it up to cliffs or water holes and have more reach. The TS5600 on the other hand is poor for anything except a fuel carrier with it's small tank and large fuel consumption.
@@TimostrategyGaming I think of it more as pay to make winning a bit easier. It's a pretty good truck, but it's not the best all round truck. (and the engine sound is pretty annoying) I'd say the pay to win factor is somewhere between using one of the trucks that came in a DLC and the DLC tire pack. (the tire pack is very much pay to win)
Yeah I recently bought all the other SnowRunner DLC’s that I didn’t have Mastodon being one I love that truck it’s done so much for me in Phase 13 so far it just doesn’t like heavy loads or steep climbs
Psystar 5600TS OFFROAD is most my favorite mod. It could go through anywhere and long last fuel. It had two different truck one wide tires with diff alway lock, had steering on end rear. Another one with rear double tires regular diff lock. Both are quite good
Don't sleep on the Kenworths. The 963 with the oil field add on can do anything and go anywhere, W990 can pretty much do it all and it can have the crane + flatbed combo, doesn't need awd.
@pomosstream3202 sure feels like it. I scouted the entirety of the Scandinavian maps with it, no issue's. I just recently went to the Don map to unlock the Tatra Force and Phoenix, used the 990 for the force missions and it didn't get stuck once. Things crazy.
@@KraytonNHG what I made a video using it in Maine cause I already pass the Don region before the truck was available I didn’t know it was that good I gotta go back
I use Bart’s Paystar 5600 with Nanako Wheels mod absolute beast 👌🏽 the “unbreakable” suspension is great for console players cause for some reason we all just take more suspension/wheel damage.
The azov 73210 overhang was never an issue with its 3 steer axles its only value is a single hauler no trailers and just drive in reverse you'll never get stuck anywhere
I'm happy to see that people are learning more and more about the game. This list is okay but the sad truth of the matter is that the Azov 7 just doesn't have the approach angle to deal with most obstacles in the game. (The buff it received a long while ago with the raised suspension is simply to make the truck playable) It's just isn't very useful for hauling cargo however from what I can tell the devs wanted it to be a support vehicle from the get-go. (IRL it's a crane and fire truck) Based on that I could see how it's really just a bad vehicle but if you use it just for fuel or repair then it's pretty good. But to have people use it for hauling cargo is going to lead to a lot of frustration.
With the adaptive suspension, it's actually one of my favorites. The 10 wheel drive gets great traction and the tight turning radius is great. The ability to lower the suspension makes it stable on inclines that would roll other trucks. Yes, it would be nice to have a higher front bumper, but you can get over a lot of bigger obstacles by backing over them.
@@the_omg3242 I actually admire your love for this truck but that frankly sounds a little ridiculous. Having to back over things, yikes. Respect though 👍
It is a very useful truck and among the best in game, yes the nose sometimes struck into the terrain, but that doesn't makes it that bad and got even better after the raised suspension it got.
tatra has really bad turning radius, it is steering like train. and it looks like You just used small wheels on paystar 5600ts. It could has 50" wheels, but it do not look like 50" in the mud test.
I'll only stating the cons of them: 1. Zikz 612H: get stuck in narrow paths, so difficult in climbing very steep terrain. 2. Azov 7: get stuck in very deep mud, stuck in broken ice. 3. Derry special: get stuck in very deep mud no matter use of mud tires, get stuck in broken ice. 4. Tatra force: get stuck in very deep mud no matter the tires, get stuck on broken ice. 5. Intl paystar: useless. Imho, you need mods to enjoy playing this game, the base game is really challenging for me, while hardmode is only for lunatics. Nice video btw 👍
More than 90% of the trucks in the game get stuck in ice. There are just a few outliers like the CAT 745C and, maybe, the Kenworth 963 (haven't tried it yet in ice) than can just pile drive through it without towing anything. The recommended thing to do is to avoid cracked ice which is pretty easy to do when you learn where on Kola and Amur you have to drive to avoid it. Same with deep mud, most trucks will get stuck if you drive straight on into it and then you'll need to use the winch. Again the recommended thing to do is to try to drive around it. The paystar is one of the best generator fuel tanks in the game.
The only mods I needed to use were logging trailer mods, large capacity water tanks because those are the two most tidious task in the game for me, and some of the Rng3r mods. In rest I'm playing with vanilla trucks and the experience is pretty pleasant for me, maybe not for you.
I was rather disappointed with the Paystar as the insane thirst and tendency to get stuck in mud made it useless. While it's always great fun to try different trucks with different qualities, many seemingly great trucks have severe drawbacks so to have a succesful operation and enjoy Snowrunner for most maps you only need a (rather big fleet of) couple type of trucks: - One suspension upgraded Kolob monster (or similar of your choosing) to pull those insane, huge, mission specific "final task" trailers (or 8 spot giant trailer those rare times when using it makes any sense) - At least half a dozen of superb jack-of-all-trades Tayga 5436 on balloon tyres, lift and semi trailer of your choosing; usually sideboard makes most sense as you might get cargo to stay in the trailer even when it gets unpacked due to almost tipping over. - Several lovely "mini-Tayga" Step 33-64 Krokodil fuel trucks spread tactically around the map to keep your fleet rolling as Taygas do have a big tank but no option for spare tanks - a fleet of many TUZ 420 Tatarins with heaviest winches and roof rack, positioned in difficult places to effortlessly help tow the trucks back and forth over the difficult patch of mud/ice/river and to yank up fallen trucks + do minor repairs. - In addition of course scouts of various types and a fleet of logging trucks of your choosing; although I should point out that running logs unpacked in a Tayga+semi sideboard is always a life/time/nerves saver to help the actual logging fleet get things done efficiently.
Thanks For Watching! It would really mean a lot if you would consider subscribing if you haven't Yet.
I like the MAZ 535 and 537 ...the suspension on the MAZ 7310 is low

tires with chains are needed only for ice. They don't help much in the snow!

How is there still no update to the horrible winch system when there's hundreds of trees around after 3+ years though 😶
