Linden, NJ - On Saturday, a two-alarm fire broke out at 10 N. Wood Avenue.
Here are the details:
Location: The incident occurred at 10 N. Wood Ave, a building that houses several businesses and residential units.
Fire Response: The Linden Fire Department, along with assistance from several Union County Mutual Aid departments, swiftly responded to the scene. Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour, successfully containing it to a single fourth-floor apartment.
Cause: An investigation revealed that Sandra Fils, a resident of the apartment, allegedly intentionally set the fire following an argument with her roommate.
Charges: Sandra Fils has been charged with second-degree aggravated arson and third-degree aggravated assault, among other related charges. She was arrested at the scene.
Impact: While the fire was contained to a single unit, smoke and water damage affected several other apartments in the building.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries.
