Great chat. I loved George on his first season and Im so impressed with his gameplay in HvV. I didnt expect him to make the merge at ALL. I was ready to see him as a very early boot due to his gigantic target, but Im glad he is proving me wrong. I really want either him or Shonee to win!
I think Hayley will try to take out George by bringing Simon over to vote with heroes but Nina will turn it around and tell George and get her Hayley blindside.
George is definitely one of the best players ever, in all of Survivor. And that was hilariouis when Shaun said that about George being a sociopath with that creepy smile that looks like you can't tell if he's gonna eat your skin like Hannibal Lecter.

Rob and Shannon's discussion about US Survivor at 53:00 got me thinking. With the way US Survivor is currently formatted, it feels like an almost impossible task for players to not only play a great game, but play a great game and go on to win. Take a look at the recent winners (as much as I like them as people) and it'll tell you all you need to know about where we're at right now with US Survivor.
Big call from Rob! I think for me, like with Dr. Will in Big Brother, it's impossible anyone will pass Tony for number 1 (any time you're considering someone passing him, just rewatch the Extortion episode of WaW), but George is making a real strong case for second.
Hmm I'm not sure, I recently re-watched Cagayan and thought Tony's game was very sloppy. Trish made plenty of plays to save him, he misplayed idol and more. His strong relationship with Trish and Wu carried him (which of course he deserves credit for). The fact that George has gone this far in his first return compared to Tony being voted out second in Game Changers, I'd say George is well beyond him in terms of strategy and playing the game. Just my opinion though, what a show. If George wins this season he's number 1.
Taking George out now is not an optimal move, he's the best shield possible and if you surround yourself with the right people you can easily take him to 4 where idols can't be used and take him out there, cause he's certainly not winning any challenges.
While on the subject of injuries on US Survivor. Why on earth is a blow to the head not an instant stop of the challenge. A dedicated player is never going to want to stop the challenge
I know Shannon doesn't follow Big Brother, but The Vigilantes remind me of The Leftovers from BB24, right down to "We just have to make it to 7" LOL! Great podcast as always Shannon and Rob, loving y'alls coverage of this season!!!
I love AU Survivor! I can’t understand the guest most of the time, something about her accent + tone? So I just listen to Rob and his insights and my brain filters out her voice. Can we get another AU Survivor commentator besides this person? 🙏
@@Dreyanne1991 I am neurodivergent and captions do not work for me. It would be great if Rob had literally anyone else to help him talk about AU. Her voice and tone are just not it sorry.
I think George social game is much better than in BvB! I feel like he has a real shot with the jury this time. i hope he doesn't give up individual immunity like before. also, i feel like if Liz did not come back, Shonee might have voted flick out with George.
@@blackwidowbrigade5042 the 7 may split but the issue is when. No point in them splitting in the next 2 votes as it would take 3 of them to flip to have the numbers now. You might get 1 maybe 2 but to get 3 to flip at this stage is not going to happen. Shaun may make it to that stage with his Idol but where will his alliance be? Sat on the jury bench that's where. Also the idol goes back into the game nothing to stop him or one of his alliance getting it right back
@@what_im_eatin_uk yes that's true but the problem is by saving flick with the idol and making it 6-4, the remaining 6 will stay together much longer because the 6-4 disparity is much closer than 7-3. If you have a secret idol and can make your side be smaller, you're less threatening against the majority and they will turn on each other faster
@@blackwidowbrigade5042 but you are never going to turn the tide without the numbers. Flick was completely loyal to Shaun. I can't see that same loyalty from Liz, Shonee, Simon the three most likely to flip without the numbers

If anybody from the trio (Shonee, George or Liz) win, I'll be really happy. But I'll be content with 80% of the other people too, as the cast is good.
This season has been so dynamic and engaging to watch. George is in my top 3 too. I'm enjoying every minute of watching him play.

As long as the player doesn't have to go to tribal council that night, I'm ok with 24 hour medical immunity

David Genat is number 1 in my opinion! Luke and George are also AU masters of the art of being entertaining and good players.
medical immunity would be harder on US survivor now given its a shorter 24 days :(. but i agree medical immunity should be a thing

Shaun made a huge mistake not playing his Idol for Flick. Had that worked it would have been 6-4 and easier to flip Simon on the next vote.
