Great to see you guys posting Invincible again!
Underrated moment in this episode: the Atlantean Queen says they’ve abolished the marriage law as a barbaric and outdated custom, but the next words out of her mouth are “TRIAL BY COMBAT!” - arguably an equally barbaric custom 😅
I think it gets under-sold because Mark’s relieved babbling kinda clutters the timing of what’s otherwise a pretty solid gag.
Also, the show gets biblical! A woman named Eve offers a man named Adam an apple. Although he rejects it, presumably because he thinks he’s got all the knowledge already.

God i love Cecil. He's such a CIA super secret guy, plus with this voice acting...i just love when he's talking about more and more secrets
In the show he is one of my favorite characters and in the comics he is the most insufferable character
As someone who's read the whole series a few times, I love this adaptation. Certain things haven't aged well (the Africa stuff with Eve, etc.) but they still manage to get those big story moments and everything feels earned.
i ALSO think ben schwartz has a great plastic man energy. he'd be so great

Do you know what I’ve come to realize and I think I may have said this before I’m not sure to you guys, but I noticed quietly in the background in the first series and now in the second season/series. We love these superhero characters because they’re trying, but in the end, especially with what was happening with atom eve real life human consequences happen when you don’t really know what you’re doing. You think you know what you’re doing but you really don’t and that’s the quiet sadness behind the characters.

You know when it comes to adaptations like you guys were talking about earlier and episode two I’m gonna say this again because I said it like 1000 times and everyone else’s channels like new rock stars and break room the Percy Jackson Disney+. Adaptation is pretty good it’s actually, really really good because of specifically what what you guys said earlier which was the source material at this point is rich and huge and the writer the original creator of Percy Jackson series is a producer at on hands producer, so he can do as you guys said, take elements from later books to then bring it forward so that concepts of a character development is more complete and more accurate which he has stated that he’s very happy that he’s gotten another shot at doing this the way he wanted to do it Jackson is a good one that first season would be good to watch after the second seasonstarts because it would flow a lot easier. It was good as a one season as the first season. It was pretty good but definitely it’s it’s all I personally it’s a lot a lot better than obviously the movies were our boys. Thank you. Love you guys see you on the next reviews.
